Would recommend Cook Shack for any event!!! They recently catered our wedding and we cannot say enough good things. From doing the tasting at the farm, to the food at the wedding- it was just phenomenal!! They are so easy to work with, overly delicious food, caring, and timely!! It’s not just a company you’re booking- Austin the owner is there throughout the process and has the best humor and he is just fantastic. You won’t regret going with Cook Shack!! Our guests are still walking about the food. ☺️

Cook Shack Catering did an excellent job catering our wedding. From hors d'oeuvres to the large portion dinner to the late-night quesadilla bar, our guests were raving about the food. Our personal favorites were the bacon-wrapped scallops and the grilled vegetable skewers! The service was also excellent. The wait staff served our plated dinner efficiently for our 200 guests so no one had to wait long for their food and the bar lines moved quickly with ease. All of the bartenders and servers were kind and courteous, and the whole night ran smoothly. We also love that we were able to have an ice cream sundae bar with the very cute trailer/cart Cook Shack offers. The ice cream was delicious and a big hit with our guests! Tracey was lovely to work with during the planning process and was great with communication and coordination! We highly recommend Cook Shack and were we to get married a second time, we’d call them up again!

Tracey & her team wow-ed us from the tasting! You can tell they’re humble people who truly care. They’ll answer any questions you have & accommodate silly requests like making sure your groom has a gravy boat of ranch at your table! We had a BBQ themed dinner & the food was amazing! We cannot recommend them enough!

Cook Shack is everything we could have asked for in a catering company and more. Throughout the entire process, Tracey was incredibly kind, patient, and communicative in answering our various questions. With the extensive and delicious menu, it was really appreciated that we could do a tasting with another couple to try different items, all of which were so so good! Tracey and the Cook shack team were flexible and helped us figure out great options for our guests with dietary restrictions. Needless to say, the food was incredible and the entire team was so great during our wedding, making sure that we ate and our guests with dietary restrictions got their special meals. Everyone was RAVING about the food, saying it was the best food they’ve had at a wedding! Cook shack even sent us home with neatly packed leftovers and an extremely thoughtful gift!

Cook Shack was very easy to plan with and we enjoyed working with them for our wedding! Our tasting was phenomenal, and on our wedding day the food was amazing and we got so many compliments from our guests about the food! I definitely recommend hiring Cook Shack for your wedding or event!

My husband and I had a choice of 5 caterers for our wedding, and we are so glad we went with Cook Shack. From the start, our catering tasting was to die for. We went in for the tasting with another couple and we all got to choose several things and try everything as a group. Their food was fantastic and so were the desserts. They sent us home with so much leftover food just for the tasting! Between our tasting and our wedding, Tracey was extremely responsive and professional, and always answered any questions we had. The food and staff were fantastic the day of the wedding. Everyone raved about the food and the dessert (they made a crazy good cheesecake and chocolate mousse). Would highly recommend.

We used Cook Shack for our wedding two weeks ago and I cannot recommend them enough! Tracey and Austin were so easy to work with, very responsive, and just overall pleasant. Their menu is extensive, the food was AMAZING, the staff was so friendly and professional, and they are very reasonably priced! We got so many compliments from our guests and they truly made sure that we were taken care of on our wedding day. I am beyond pleased with our experience and 10/10 recommend them!

Cook Shack was so wonderful to work with! At our tasting, they gave us SO much food to try and even packed up what we couldn't eat and let us take it home. The food on our wedding day was AMAZING and all of our guests were raving about how delicious everything was. Very reasonably priced as well compared to other caterers we talked to. Tracey and the entire Cook Shack team was a pleasure to work with while planning for our postponed wedding reception! After being referred to Cook Shack by several friends, my husband and I took one look at their extensive menu and knew we wanted them to be a part of our event! Friends and family that attended our party are still raving about the asiago chicken, brisket and roasted vegetables and several even showed up at our house the next day for leftovers!! The dessert selections were delicious! Coordinating the dinnerware and linen rentals through Cook Shack made logistics much more seamless. Definitely recommend this caterer for your next event!!

When we started planning our wedding we knew that the food was one of our main priorities and let me tell you- Cook Shack DELIVERED! From start to finish they we great to work with. They were the first and only caterer we met with- after our first interaction and tasting with them we knew we needed to look no further! Our guests are still raving about how amazing the food was at our wedding and we could not agree more. Their service and food were both top notch and we highly recommend them to anyone who is still looking for the perfect fit.

We are so happy that we chose Cook Shack as our wedding caterer. Their food, from the appetizers to the entrees, is incredibly delicious with large portions and affordable. Their staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. They were kind enough to save us food from cocktail hour so that my husband and I could eat before entering the reception. They also sent us home from the wedding take out boxes so that we could eat that night in the hotel. Tracey was thorough and knowledgeable about our rental company and venue which made planning the reception a breeze. We highly recommend using this catering company.

I am so incredibly thankful to have had Cook Shack cater our wedding! The staff was super friendly and professional. The food tasted amazing (and the portion sizes were great!). The service totally surpassed my expectations from start to finish for the day. I even had a guest tell me it was the most well-run wedding they had ever attended, and I think that is largely attributable to the Cook Shack team. I also wanted to make a special shout out to Austin and Tracey, who made the tasting and planning process completely seamless. The Cook Shack team is some of the kindest people I have ever met. They helped make our wedding day so special, and I would ABSOLUTELY recommend them to anyone! Thank you Cook Shack team, you will always have a special place in our hearts for all that you did to make our wedding day amazing!!

We were blown away with Cook Shack from start to finish! Not only were they understanding and flexible with us when we needed to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19, but their attention to detail throughout our reception was amazing. The food is amazing and plentiful, and they make sure you as a couple get to enjoy the food on your big day as well. The staff even packaged up hors d’oeuvres from our cocktail hour for us to take on our transportation with us as we took our wedding party photos after the ceremony! We especially loved that they packaged up two meals (along with a very kind wedding gift) for us to share at home together once the party was over! Anyone in the area getting married should put reaching out to Cook Shack at the top of their to-do list. They are hands down one of our favorite wedding vendors and the reason we have received so many compliments from guests!

Disappointed with this vendor’s lack of communication & responsiveness. They were not helpful when I asked questions about their menu. I emailed some menu ideas to them & they said they’d send me a quote over. 17 days after sending my menu ideas to them I was told that after reviewing the other wedding they had planned that day they wouldn’t be able to take on another event...even though I was told initially that they were available. Word of advice, don’t get your hopes up with this company. Their food may be delicious but their customer service is lacking.

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with CookShack!! From the moment my now husband and I attended a tasting with CS, we fell in love. Their food is amazing! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Beyond just serving up delicious food (have I mentioned it was delicious?) the staff is very helpful, responsive and a joy to work with. On the day of they made sure my husband and I were well fed, and even gave us our own to-go containers afterwards. I had a couple family members at the wedding with specific meal requests and CookShack helped them without hesitation. I will forever recommend CookShack to anyone looking for a caterer.

I cannot tell you how amazing this company is!! The food, the people, just amazing! Cook Shack was great to work with during the Covid-19 pandemic. When everything happened, they gave us lots of options on what we could use our deposit for. My original venue was the complete opposite so I was worried to reach out. They worked with us and ended up letting us use our deposit towards our rehearsal dinner the day before our wedding instead of using them for our actual wedding day as our new venue had food included. To me, this was extremely understanding of the situation in the world and says a lot about the type of people working here!!!!! To top it off, they added some veggies to the meal to make it more complete. Again, I can not say enough good things about cook shack, simply amazing!!!

If you have not found a caterer for your wedding I highly recommend Cook Shack. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is fantastic.

Due to COVID our original caterer was unable to serve our wedding, so within two weeks of the wedding date, Austin and his staff agreed to take on our reception! The food and service were absolutely amazing and they helped make our reception so special! Austin and his staff even went above and beyond to help us fix a wedding cake mishap! They made everything so easy and stress free throughout the entire evening. I would not hesitate to use them agian, and I would absolutely refer them to others!

Cook Shack catered our wedding earlier this month, and WOW!!! The hors d-oeuvres, food, lemonades, and assorted pies were amazing. They served us with the best ribeye steaks/rosemary chickens we've tasted in our lives, and don't even get me started about the sides. All of our guests were impressed and really enjoyed everything and everyone left full and happy :) (and that's saying a lot because we had 350+ people attend)! More importantly the Cook Shack team was AWESOME - so organized and on top of everything. Austin is the warmest person you'll ever meet and Tracey was such a pleasure to work with! I can't say enough good things- I recommend them to everyone now- you will NOT be disappointed (make sure you get the homemade pita chips and buffalo chicken dip- it's a crowd favorite). Cook shack was AMAZING!! the food is delicious- everyone will enjoy! The staff are very friendly and easy to work with. They will always call back and help you make your day everything you want it to be. They even helped us get our ice cream bar!

Working with Cook Shack for our wedding was great! Austin was so hospitable to us at our tasting in January, as well as on our wedding day. He went above and beyond to serve me, my husband, and my family. Tracey was so easy to communicate with during the planning process and she was prompt in sending updated quotes and answering questions. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious and our guests raved about it! Cook Shack was great to work with and every single food we tried was delicious! We would highly recommend them!

We hired Cook Shack for our wedding on June 1st and they were amazing! When we were first looking for a Caterer, we knew we wanted them the minute we left the tasting. Unlike most "tastings" from Caterers, they cooked us an entire meal of the items we wanted to taste. They even sent us home with leftovers! They really made us feel welcome in their kitchen. Leading up to the wedding day, they helped with some last minute changes/additions (we added a cheese display and a water station for guests outside due to the hot weather) and they were extremely accommodating. The day of, our guests were raving about the food! Especially the Mac & Cheese. Cook Shack allowed us to combine all of our favorite southern food along with our love of Mexican food. Who would have thought that would be possible?! Austin made sure my husband and I ate too. The minute we sat down at our table, he came over and asked us what we would like to eat. We said everything and he brought over plates full of a little bit of everything! I'm so thankful for that. They are professional, friendly and know how to cook a darn good meal. I highly suggest hiring them not just for a wedding, but for any catering event you could possibly need! I know I will.

We used Cook Shack for our wedding. From beginning to end they were beyond amazing. Tracey and Austin were so helpful. They even made us a little go to plate to take with us because they knew we wouldn’t get a chance to eat. The food....omg I can’t say enough about the food. My husband and I didn’t get a chance to taste the meatballs during cocktail hour and everyone was raving about them. I emailed Tracey and they made us a little batch of them. I’m trying to figure out now how and when I can use Cook Shack again. I would highly highly highly recommend them for ANY event you have!!! Amazing food and service.

Pros: I really liked the vendor. They were very personable during the tasting and only had one other couple with us. This also allowed us to try the other couples foods they were considering. They served the bride/groom before others and then guests went up for food allowing us to have time to eat. The owners are so nice! Cons: we got lasagna instead of pasta with white sauce/chicken (hubby hates lasagna) but it was still tasty. And they said they would have to go containers for the out of town guests to take food home and they did not. Just one big container of lasagna. And we asked for blueberry lemonade and ended up with plain lemonade which was also still good. These reasons are the only ones for not getting 5 stars!

We really can't say enough good things about Cook Shack after our wedding! We looked at a few different catering companies in the Raleigh area before our event and Cook Shack was by FAR the best value anywhere around! Their food is incredible, tastes like your mom's home cooking (everyone at our wedding was raving about the brisket!) and their staff is so incredibly sweet and accommodating. They will go out of their way to make sure you have exactly what you want and PLENTY of it. These guys are wonderful, you won't regret hiring them.

We are dying for another opportunity to hire Cook Shack - one of the saddest parts of our wedding being over is that we don’t know when we’ll be able to enjoy their delicious food again! We knew from our private tasting that Cook Shack was the one, and we immediately cancelled all other scheduled tastings. Austin and Tracey are extremely kind and helpful, rates are incredibly reasonable, and the team took such great care of us from the moment we first reached out until every last bite of our leftovers was devoured in the days following our wedding. At our tasting, we added several items to our menu that we never thought we’d have any reason to include – like warm pimento cheese dip with homemade pita chips - where has that been all my life?? Our other apps of chicken and waffles, bacon wrapped shrimp, and fruit/veggie/cheese platter were a huge hit (the team also kindly prepared a huge appetizer tray for the bridal party to enjoy during photos). We served a buffet with awesome salad, beef k-bobs, lemon rosemary chicken, sweet potato soufflé, asparagus, and mac and cheese, and finished the night with a biscuit bar with all the toppings. Cook Shack also provided bartending services (we provided alcohol) and we heard many compliments throughout the night about how great they were, as well as how friendly/helpful Cook Shack servers were. Throughout planning, Tracey was amazingly responsive to my million questions about timing, rentals, cake cutting, real vs. disposable dishes, head count, layout, bar logistics, etc. They were so sweet to send us home with plates of food (including utensils and a mini bottle of champagne!), as well as a gift basket with homemade sauces and t-shirts. They packaged leftovers and helped with loading leftover alcohol. So delicious/fresh/homemade, personalized, stress-free, and a dream of a catering experience – thank you, Cook Shack, for making our experience seamless and so delectable! Cook Shack is the best of the best – you won’t be disappointed!

WOW!! Their food is the best! They are easy to work with. Their staff is professional and does a great job at busing the tables. I honestly cannot say enough great things about Austin and his team! If you haven’t booked a caterer yet, you NEED to go with them!

Cook Shack did a great job at our wedding, and the food was great. The bartenders did a great job making the cocktails we wanted for our wedding. The food was good and they even had a french fry bar for us at the end of the night, which was a hit. Unfortunately, the kids at our wedding ended up getting the adult meals as no kids meals were brought, even though we had discussed chicken fingers and french fries before hand, and I heard from many of the parents that the kids didn't eat much of the meals. Also, instead of a sweetheart table, we decided to keep all the bridal party together, as well as their significant others all seated with us. When dinner was served, food was brought to most of the table, but about 3 people did not get meals, and we had to ask on two separate occasions for meals to be brought out to them. I wish I could have given them 5 stars since the food was great, but it was the details that were lacking.

The Cook Shack catered delicious food that was great for our medium-sized wedding. They were easy to work with and had a variety of food to choose from. My favorite part was the s'mores bar at the end of the night!

Cook Shack was PHENOMENAL! We found them through the recommendations of our Wedding Coordinator, and upon reaching out was impressed by their options, pricing, responsiveness, and customer service! From the start Tracey was so so friendly! We (at the time) lived 3 hours away and they accommodated us for a private tasting for our big day. When we arrived, we had no idea what we were in for - imagine the best food ever.... and then triple that! Austin and his assistant were so wonderful - it was like we were dining with old friends! We left a bit later and were in a food coma of deliciousness! We didn't even have to try out any other catering company - we knew Cook Shack had to be the ones to handle our big day. We ended up moving out of state during the engagement, and throughout my many questions, they were very responsive and kind - and believe me I ask a LOT of questions. On our big day, they were even better than imagined. People have been raving about the food since social hour. They brought us our food and made us to go plates - which we ate as soon as we reached the hotel. Their staff was polite and delightful to us and all of our guests. We also loved the option of having them donate the leftovers to homeless shelters. If you are in between on catering companies for your big event - look no further! They are SO WORTH IT! The Cook Shack team was amazing! Tracey was incredibly helpful during the planning process and Austin provided a tasting to help us decide the menu. We did a family style meal and everyone RAVED about the food. It was so so good! The spicy mac and cheese is something everyone still talks about. Cook Shack is incredibly affordable and you really get access to a great team. Choosing Cook Shack was a great decision!

Amazing! They are the perfect caterers for any southern occasion! From the day we met we were greeted with such professionalism and willingness to make everything work and make our day perfect! If I could give Cook Shack an extra star, I would. I can't speak more highly of Cook Shack as a whole -- absolutely everything from the coordination, food, and service was phenomenal. Tracey was in constant contact with my wedding coordinator throughout the planning process and was a pleasure to work with, and was very responsive. I've been to many weddings where the food was more or less "OK", but the food served at our reception was similar to something I'd lovingly cook up and serve at home -- it was hearty, comforting, and delicious! We had more than enough food for all of our guests and vendors (which was a big concern of mine prior to the day-of since we had a rather large guest list). The staff went above an beyond their call of duty to offer courteous buffet and clean-up service, make sure my husband and I were well fed and watered, and assist in a time of mini-panic in terms of decor set-up. You'll be hard pressed to find another caterer in the Raleigh/Durham area who offers the same level of professionalism, culinary skill, and value.

Cook Shack Catering did a phenomenal job with our wedding. They were super helpful when any question was asked, they offered to help with whatever they could and their food was the talk of the wedding! Almost 2 weeks later my guests are still raving about how wonderful the food was! All the staff that participated in the wedding were very polite and cordial. If I do any other big event I will definitely be using them! Tracey and Austin were the most wonderful people to help coordinate the food, the planning, and the setup. I couldn't have asked for a more prepared and wonderful catering company!

Cook shack was awesome. The food was so delicious and they went above and beyond to make our wedding great. There was a little hiccup with our shrimp and grits for appetizers but cook shack more than made up for it. I would definitely recommend if you want good southern cooking at your wedding!!

This was by far our favorite vendor! We all hit it off from the first tasting. This is a group of honest, hard working people that you want to be in business with. They make sure they go above and beyond to make it personal and your day special. We were married on a cold and rainy day. As I was getting dressed for my wedding day, I had someone say " since today is like it is the catering wanted to know if they could set up a smores bar". They set an amazing smores bar outside for the guests and made sure there was coffee for our guests without us previously agreeing. This was so thoughtful and above and beyond our expectations. We heard nothing but positive comments from our guests on how delicious the food was, the smores bar and the yummy desserts we had. Highly recommend!!! We will definitely find a reason to use them again!

I can't tell you how many compliments we received on the food. Our guests really loved it! We used Cook Shack as our caters for the rehearsal dinner and our reception and they were a smash hit. Everyone really enjoyed their turkey, brisket, and pork bbq. All the sides were awesome too, especially the mashed potatoes and roasted veggies. We have some food left over and the food is still tasting amazing. Austin and Tracey were amazing to work with. They answered questions in a timely manner and gave honest answers. If you get the bride and groom to go boxes you won't be disappointed and will have some great food for after the chaos. Their servers and bartenders were so great. I can't stress this enough. I would highly recommend using them and would definitely use them again for any event!
