Cooper Hotel Conference Center & Spa

I basically have pictured getting married in a field my entire life. I couldn't imagine NOT getting married outdoors. When I began my search for a wedding venue, I found a lot of beautiful places to erect a tent, but food, drink service, planning, etc? Not so easy if you want to get married in a field. Then we found Cooper. The grounds at the Cooper Aerobics Center are beautiful. The ceremony site is by the water and there is a large grassy area across the water where we put our 40x60 tent (100 guests). Their services are so thorough. They provide a wedding coordinator (which I promise is necessary), a full tasting of all the food to make your selections for the big day, and you could provide all of your own alcohol (no markups!). The best thing about Cooper is the service. Every person that you work with is happy and very helpful. When I took my bridal portrait, they let me use a hotel room at no cost. They also provided a room for me on the day of and we stayed the night there after the wedding. We had tons of out of town guests that stayed at Cooper and fully appreciated the pool and the work out facilities. The coordinators take care of all of the details and always double checked everything with me. I am an artist so I felt well equipped to handle decorations. Most of them were DIY. For me, the Cooper was a blank canvas. At the ceremony site we put up 3 huge arches covered in flowers, and the path from the ceremony to the reception was lined with hearts. We set up cocktail tables and lawn games under the trees and we also hung vertical twinkle lights in the trees. The tent was another blank canvas that was mine to outfit to my taste and perfection. There were a lot of children at the wedding so the lawn games were a huge hit. We had activities every where and a live band. I know that every guest had an amazing time at our wedding and many are still talking about it. If you are not a cookie cutter bride, and the other venues are a little too formal (in an unnecessary way) for you, then you should definitely consider Cooper. If you can't afford a tent, the reception room they provide is beautiful, it just didn't work for my particular vision. Overall, if I had to do it all over again, I'd do it the exact same way. The service was just amazing and my wedding was exactly what I wanted.

Rachel was amazing. From the start she did anything and everything I asked of her. She was so flexible, let me bring stuff to the site four days before the wedding, and did all the setup for me. She totally went out of her way during the whole engagement to accommodate all of our requests. The wait staff was great the night of, the food was good, and they did all the cleanup. Excellent, affordable and beautiful campus. The room is smaller, I had 160 ppl, and wouldn't have wanted anymore. Rachel is outstanding and will do anything to make your wedding day perfect

I found Cooper's Lodge at the Plano Bridal show last year and when I went and saw the lodge and the reception room I was blown away! The lodge itself is very cozy and they make it easy for family members to make reservations. Rachel, the cordinator was amazing. She was there each step of the way. Cooper's Lodge isn't just a venue to have your wedding. They have a full work out center that we got a free memebership too while perparing for our wedding and so many other perks. The best perk for us was the set up and break down. They staff there did it all for us. I told them what I wanted and they did it. Rachel has a list of contacts that she gave me which was nice cause I didn't have to go out and search the web for a people. When it comes to the food....wow! They have several different packages you can choose from plus you can pick and choose the foods that you want...and the punches...wow! Out of the world! I don't want to leave out the bridal suite that we got too. It's huge!!! There's also a nice balcony where you can watch your guests leave at the end of the night and wave goodbye like a princess. One more great thing about Cooper's is there's no curfew. They didn't rush us out at the end of the night. Instead the let us have the room until we were ready to leave! I am so glad we picked Cooper's Lodge for our party!

Gorgeous outdoor setting. The reception areas are similar to hotel ballrooms. A great venue and your guests can stay onsite!
