So happy with our choice here! The venue came with tables and chairs, the venue manager was easy to work with. The venue requires an event coordinator (totally worth it) and you ...
can choose all your own vendors.
Couldn't recommend this amazing venue more!

Whitney, Jeff and the entire team at the Cooper River Room are AMAZING. We got married there last weekend and the team was nothing less than accomodating throughout the entire proc...
ess. Their contract is extremely straight forward and they don't deviate from it. This is one of the most affordable places to get married in Charleston and also one of the most beautiful. The view is incredible and the hall that we used for our reception is basically already decorated for you. I will recommend this venue to anyone wanting to get married in Charleston.

Our guests were coming in from all over and we wanted to show them all the charm Charleston has to offer and Cooper River Room was the perfect spot. The murals on the walls and the...
view of the bridge are just wonderful. We had around 100 guests. The venue provides round tables and chairs for inside. They do not have a preferred caterer and are helpful if you are looking for ideas. They will also send any of your out of town guests a complementary guide to Charleston. Our rep. was Whitney and she was so helpful and friendly!

The Cooper River Room was a perfect venue for us! The view is beautiful and the lawns and reception room work very well together for the flow of the ceremony and reception. We had...
100 guests at our wedding and the room comfortably fit everyone for dinner without feeling cramped (with a dance floor in the middle!). Very little decorations are needed as the natural beauty is enough! We would highly recommend this venue for those who are looking for a natural-feeling (not over the top) wedding and reception.

The Cooper River Room is such a beautiful space with a brilliant view of the Ravenel Bridge. It was the perfect location for our 70 guest wedding on July 29, 2016! We had plenty ...
of space for multiple food stations, a bar, tables and chairs, and a dance floor. The heat was pretty oppressive for our outdoor ceremony (typical for late summer in Charleston!), but the room was so well air conditioned that we were all able to cool off quickly. Working with Gabrielle and the rest of the staff at the Cooper River Room was an absolute dream--they were so quick to respond to any and all of our questions and even let us see the set ups of other weddings. We highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a gorgeous waterfront wedding ceremony/reception (even those who are on a tight budget, like we were)!

ed something that Charleston was known for...you simply can't beat the view of the Ravenel Bridge that connects Mount Pleasant to Downtown Charleston! We timed our ceremony with sunset and while it was a cool day in November, Cooper River Room was ideal with indoor and outdoor space! The Charleston murals offer a unique charm inside and the outdoor patio and lawn provide ample space for dancing and games! Gabrielle was amazing and was so easy to work with (even though she primarily worked with our planner, I never had any issues with the booking of the venue). If you want unforgettable views in a convenient location that is accessible for everyone, check out Cooper River Room and see why they are a hidden gem!

rough I knew that this was where I wanted to have our wedding. One of the many perks of this venue is the fact that you can bring in your own caterer; many venues in Charleston require you to use their caterer. We originally were going to have our ceremony at the beach and then the reception at the Cooper River Room. However, Charleston experienced a flood and the beach was out of the question. So, we ended up having both at the Cooper River Room and I am wondering why we didn't do it in the first place! We had to change the ceremony site two days before the wedding and they were very accommodating. We got married right by the marsh and the view was fantastic. We had cocktail hour outside and then dinner inside and guests were able to move freely in and out while still feeling like they were a part of the big picture. We had kids at our wedding and there is plenty of space for them to be kids! The waterfront pier is a short walk away and we were able to get some great photos there as well. Our venue coordinator, Gabrielle, was so delightful and answered all of our questions and worked with us to make our day perfect. All of our guests commented on the beauty of the venue and the convenience of the location and parking. You will not be disappointed if you have your wedding here!

So far, I would say that they have been extremely helpful throughout the wedding planning process. With us living in different state, we were able to make payments over email.
My ...
only complaint is that I did not love that they transferred us to three different people. You will meet with Julie Ann first, then meet with Gabrielle, and then with your wedding person.
It is a lot to keep up with especially if you are paying one person but then communicating with someone else. We made a payment but the person that should have known about the payment did not know it was made. The original person claimed they did not receive it but I received a bounce back email that they were out of the office. So to come in to work one day and receive an email that you did not pay was hurtful and embarrassing. They made it priority to copy my wedding planner.
That was my only complaint. I will update after the wedding.

I grew up in Mt. Pleasant and so did my mom and so did our long list of extended cousins. So, I knew that I did not want a Charleston weding; I wanted a Mt. Pleasant wedding. The C...
ooper River Room suited my purposes perfectly. It doesn't have the formal/stuffy feel that you see at a lot of Charleston venues. It has a beautiful mural that immediately gives you the easygoing but genteel feeling of the low country. The patio was the perfect place to put the bar and allowed our guests who wanted to talk a place to be able to hear each other. A lot of guests enjoyed taking a stroll through the statues and down the peer also. However, the greatest feature of the Cooper River Room is the view. It is spectacular. It'd be hard to find a better one in Charleston County. My wedding was perfect, and a lot of that was due to the Cooper River Room.

I was very happy with the Cooper River Room. Julie Ann was professional, thoughtful, and helpful from the first time I saw the venue up until my wedding day. The entire venue was ...
clean and there was more than enough parking. One thing to note is that if you are doing your wedding ceremony outside at the location, wear a microphone if you want your videographer to pick up the sound (the bridge noise drowned out our voices in the video). I highly recommend this venue!

We held our ceremony outside by the water and out of town guests loved the view of the bridge. The room was just what we wanted and the staff was extremely helpful.

I had stumbled upon this location by complete accident. When my husband and I saw it we knew it was the place we wanted to have our dream wedding. The staff was wonderful (we dea...
lt with Julie Ann) and VERY helpful. We signed the contract and put a deposit down (sidebar; they are flexible with their contract, a lot of the things it said we weren't allowed to do Julie Ann said we could take it out of the contract).
Julie Ann even helped us find local vendors that we LOVED and helped with accommadations for our guests. We are from NY so we knew nothing about wedding planning in the Charleston area.
Cooper River Room has their own kitchen, bridal room with seperate bathroom (which was GREAT), big round tables, chairs, and tent wholes in the ground outside for easy tent set up.
For our wedding we did everything inside except our photobooth which was right outside on the patio area. Our dance floor was 12 x 16 and we still had room for 9 table seating 8-10 people at each. We also had a huge DJ table, speakers, buffet table, cake table, gift table, guest book table, head table, and two bars. The room looks small but trust me it is not. We had a lot of stuff in there but we were not squished in by any means.
I highly reccommend this location for a wedding and all other party needs. My experience with them was amazing and I couldn't have dreamed of a better wedding.
**Also- The event coordinator there had me go view a few weddings before deciding how I wanted to do mine, a lot of people use the outdoor space with a tent and lighting to allow 300+ people and it is still simply breathtaking.
There is also a beautiful pier since it is on the Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park. It's definitely worth the trip just to go look at it.
