Cope Entertainment

what we wanted. I highly recommend him as a wedding DJ/MC. He was very attentive throughout the whole process, ensuring that we walked through any questions my husband and I had and never feeling like he wasn't just a quick message away from an answer.  As far as the wedding at Scribner Bend, he did such a fantastic job keeping the day on the rails! The music was fantastic and the vibes were amazing!  Not to mention - the photobooth add-on (and attendant)  was so fun and customizable!! Our guests had a blast using it and we highly recommend the add on as well!!  Overall, highly recommend Cope Entertainment services if you are looking for a well-structured, stress-free, and fun wedding day!

was like talking to a friend. He brought the energy of an amazing DJ and an unforgettable MC. He worked the crowd and got everyone in on the games and dance floor; even me, who promised him I don’t dance. Matt is very flexible with our schedule and our last minute changes. 3 hours before our ceremony, I texted him I wanted a song changed for the groom and he said no problem. My husband and I wouldn’t have had such an amazing wedding/experience without his service. I promise no one can go wrong choosing Matt as their DJ and MC.

our style. I appreciated the many meetings we had beforehand to get a feel for what we wanted and special things to consider for the wedding day. His prices were also reasonable which was a huge plus; some DJs cost 10s of thousands which definitely did not fit our budget. The music and sound system also wasn’t too loud or too soft, something I was a bit worried about since we had an outdoor ceremony. My one critique was that the names of our fathers were said incorrect during the reception, which was a bit awkward, but overall, we had a really good experience with Matthew! Would definitely recommend him and his services to other couples.

th that the guests loved and also provided lighting for our reception. We were extremely satisfied with their services.

ests. He is friendly and just kept everything moving even with the timing changes. No one ever left the party or was unaware of what was going on. Absolutely incredible!

e right vibe to hit.

During the event he was a great MC and managed the energy of the event perfectly. Would absolutely recommend him for any event!

, taking the time to get to know us as a couple during our phone calls. This personal touch made a world of difference and set the tone for our planning process. Leading up to the big day, Matthew worked closely with us to curate the perfect playlist, ensuring every song reflected our vision for the celebration. His user-friendly online portal made collaboration seamless, allowing us to design the wedding of our dreams together. On the day of the wedding, Matthew's energy and professionalism were simply unmatched. He knew exactly how to read the room and keep the dance floor packed all night long. I can't recommend him highly enough—if you're looking for a DJ who will elevate your event and create unforgettable memories, look no further than Matthew!

ld actually play the music we requested. We had been to many weddings in the past where the DJ didn’t even play the music the bride and groom requested. However, this was not the case with Matthew! We had the best time at our wedding dancing all night and so did our guests, thanks to Matthew. We received many compliments throughout the night on the music. He is very professional and definitely knows what he is doing when it comes to weddings!! He even stepped in when needed when there were some hiccups with our venue coordinator. He made sure everything ran smoothly the entire night and made us feel comfortable/confident. Would highly recommend Cope Entertainment for your next wedding/event ☺️ 10/10!!

ure everything flowed smoothly! He also has a great announcement voice! I would absolutely hire him again!

on our plate at the time and he did a great job guiding us to make sure we were ready for the big day! During the day of, Matthew really did a wonderful job connecting with our guests, playing the music we requested as well as playing music our guests were requesting. We high recommend Cope Entertainment for any of your MC & DJ needs!!!

them. Matthew was responsive, a helpful emcee and brought the energy out of our guests - a tall order for a morning wedding!

ss. We also really appreciated the way he helped move the party along and kept the vibe we were looking for!

g through our vision for different audio visual styles for cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. His experience and understanding of trending music took the pressure off planning. He offers live one on one meetings and an interactive music portal. Don’t forget to ask him about uplighting and cold sparks, which tied a bow on our special day. We highly recommend Cope Entertainment for your wedding.

e understood us as a couple and the general atmosphere we were going for. He puts a lot of time and effort into getting to know his couples, which we really appreciated. Our wedding day playlist was well-curated by him and he did a great job of hyping up our guests. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ!

me to plan all DJing/MCing activities. He played all of our favorite songs and made sure our final, private dance was one to remember. We would highly recommend his services for any wedding or party!

From the outside ceremony to the inside reception, he made the transition so smooth. He was very friendly and helpful especially to me, the bride, he really helped with timelines and keeping people on the dance floor. He maintained communication with my husband and I throughout our wedding to make sure everything was going perfect. He was a perfect MC and DJ for our wedding night. He will be our go to for any future events, and we will definitely highly recommend him to all our friends and family!

. My family had a great time and he played all the songs we requested. We even had live music and worked his magic to make things happen. My wife and I had a blast and can't wait to hire him for our future events.

maintained a great line of communication with us and the restaurant staff. As our MC, he ensured the night ran smoothly and flawlessly transitioned between each segment. Matt's positive energy was contagious and working with him was anre. He played the perfect music to match the overall tone and energy of the night, ensuring that every moment was executed perfectly. From the ceremony to the dances and everything in between, Matthew did an outstanding job. We highly recommend Cope Entertainment for anyone in need of a top-tier DJ and MC. Thank you, Matt, for making our wedding an unforgettable experience! absolute pleasu

ance of listening to our preferences of music, and then building a set with what we chose with similar music that fit mine and my wife’s personalities and styles. #1 favorite thing: Mathew does not only want to know a list of songs that you want to hear at your wedding. He spends the time and energy to ask WHY you like those songs/artists. He then uses that information to put together an amazing set. As for the MC side of things, Mathew knew how to keep the wedding moving smoothly while still keeping the mood light and the party going. I’ll say it again, you will not be disappointed, Mathew/Cope Entertainment did an AMAZING job.

d listen to. He DJed the open dance part of the reception perfectly and allowed for the more unique song choices we had. After the reception, several guests stated it was the most fun wedding they have ever been to and that was largely thanks to Matt's services. He kept the night going smoothly and kept us on time as an MC. I highly recommend him for any event.

e time to meet with us three times digitally to discuss the plans and to get to know us. He asked questions and made recommendations that really made us feel supported and understood. He also emailed us back promptly whenever we reached out to him. He made the entire process as fun and easy as it could be. By the time the big day rolled around, I really feel like Matthew understood us as a couple. He helped to make the event everything we hoped it would be. I cannot have asked for a better DJ. Cope Entertainment also brought a photo booth and an attendant up to our venue. It was such a nice addition to the event. We love the scrapbook we got at the end of the night. A few days later, we received the digital versions of the pictures and the video messages. It was so special!

ainment was on the preferred list provided by our venue and after much research, it was clear to see why. He lives up to his amazing reviews and then some. Matthew was so helpful throughout the planning process with phone and video chats and put any anxieties at ease. He answered all questions quickly and was extremely professional. He helped us figure out which music was important to us and encouraged us to play what WE wanted. I was hesitant to choose our walk out song, as it was a little out of the norm, but he reminded us that this was OUR wedding and encouraged us to do what makes us happy - and the grand entrance turned out even more fun than we could have imagined! He kept everyone on the dance floor all night and all our guests had such great things to say the next day. He really took all our suggestions and turned it into the best playlist. Also, the portal is so easy to use and makes planning simple. We used the monogram lighting, which turned out to be the perfect touch in the background, especially for photos. We also booked the photobooth - so much fun and looking at the album we got to take home was hilarious! A great keepsake. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would highly recommend Matthew for your wedding/next big event! Thank you again!!

met up with him we laughed a lot, and he respected our music taste, which lean a bit more towards the classic rock and metal genres. He helped us find tasteful music for the ceremony and made our reception Crazy fun. We had 67 close friends and family at a local private country club and even the venue said they’ve never seen a wedding that fun and all of our friends and family just had a complete blast. Get Matthew to do your event, we will definitely be working with him again! We love ya Matthew! Nathan and Jessica Lacey 5/27/2023

our wedding from overseas. My family is Cuban and my husband's Aussie, so we were a little worried about how we would blend both groups music tastes to keep everyone on the dance floor. Matthew was so helpful and accommodating. He encouraged us to be a part of the music selection process, and with his great ear, mixed and blended different genres from R&B and reggaeton to country rock seamlessly. When it came to creating a playlist that was both unique to us and that everyone loved, he knocked it out of the park. He kept the dance floor packed all night long, and everyone complimented the music the following day. In addition to his musical talents, Matthew is also a great communicator and a pleasure to work with. He was always available to answer our questions and flexible in accommodating our requests. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ! If you're looking for a DJ who will make your wedding day unforgettable, we highly recommend Matthew.

on a speaker, he paid attention and did his homework to ensure every detail was accounted for. And when I say detail, I’m talking pronunciation of peoples names, knowing who our vendors were, names of special guests and shout outs, and the list goes on. Matthew made sure that we stayed on schedule without ever seeming pushy or hectic; he has a smooth and charismatic way of working the crowd and directing guests. His humor was spot on and he respected and executed on all of our requests. I would absolutely recommend Cope Entertainment to anyone looking for an exceptional DJ experience.

. My fiancé and I had no idea what we were doing in terms of planning a wedding but Matthew made the process that much easier by answering all of our questions plus he has an online portal that helped guide us through what we needed for each segment of our wedding. He dressed professionally in a suite and most importantly kept our whole evening running along smoothly from the reception to our exit. We were able to create a list of songs we liked and Matthew put together a great playlist but also changed up the music during dancing to fit the mood and what others wanted. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend him to everyone for weddings or any other event you may have.

rything was settled and all of our decisions were made. Come wedding day we had absolutely nothing to worry about, everything was so perfect. Entrances and dancing and Mics for speeches along with introductions. We didn't have to think about anything and It was such an amazing time. The photo booth add on also gave our guests some fun pics. Can't recommend enough for your events.

d zoom meetings multiple times before our wedding. We spoke about what we needed and what we expected during that day. The portal we were given made adding songs and comments about different parts of the wedding easy. He was incredibly kind and professional. He was probably better about communicating than we were, which is definitely not the case when it comes to other vendors! He worked with us when we wanted specific songs during the ceremony and added personal touches to both the cocktail hour and dinner music. When we say we danced the entire reception, we truly mean it. He navigated the mood of the crowd perfectly. Our day wouldn’t have been the same without Matthew and we would recommend him for absolutely anybody!

He was friendly and easy-going whenever we had Zoom meetings. We were also one of the bumped COVID weddings and were grateful Matthew was quite flexible as we found a new date. Thanks again for helping us through a great party!

tool where clients can add songs to different categories such as "must play", "do not play", etc. I particularly wanted to play this Chinese song during our cake cutting so to represent a bit of where my family comes from and he found the song for me. He was very supportive of us having the wedding we wanted and we love that about him! Matthew is also great with communication. Perhaps this isn't a quality couples necessarily look for when looking for a DJ, but leading up to the wedding with a lot of loose ends to tie up there is a difference between vendors who take a few business days to respond to emails (still totally understandable) and someone who always gets back to you the day of. You know that feeling where you start to question whether or not to send a follow-up email? With Matthew, we've never once felt like we had to track him down and it gave us peace of mind knowing that he was just a text/phone call away. Find someone who is professional and consistent! We couldn't be happier on our wedding day. Matthew played every single song we asked for. I wasn't aware but my husband later told me that at one point the flower at our table got too close to the candles and was beginning to catch on fire. Matthew noticed it and put it out. So, in a way, he saved our wedding! We can't recommend him enough.

ng we needed to know and answered all of our questions. The music selection page was very straightforward to use, and the event planning page essentially served as a ceremony/reception timeline. We also utilized his uplighting services, which added an extra pop to our venue (Pavilion at Haggin Oaks). It goes without saying that he did a wonderful job as DJ/MC on wedding day. Wedding planning is hectic. Hire Cope Entertainment, and you'll have a vendor that you never have to worry about.

e-wedding prep: Aside from our venue coordinator, we probably interacted with Matt the most. He was extremely attentive, and would send us check-in emails to make sure things were moving in the right direction. We also had multiple webcam meetings with Matt to talk through the events of the big day and discuss the flow. Matt provided us with an online portal where we entered in song requests (as well as a do-not-play list). We gave him very broad suggestions (eg genres we liked, artists we enjoyed) and he nailed the playlist. Wedding day: Matt provided our officiant with a lapel mic as well as a handheld mic to hold up to our faces during vows, so we could be hands free. His emcee skills are also amazing- he kept the flow going, kept the energy up, and helped direct the guests after the ceremony. When cocktail hour was winding down, he made sure to come round us up and give us a heads up for the grand entrance. He also went through the bridal party list to make sure names were pronounced correctly. His energy throughout the event was just amazing. I was especially impressed with his emcee skills during the toasts/speeches- he was so great on the fly, making transitions super smooth. We received several comments from guests afterwards about how terrific he was! We were both extremely happy that we booked Cope Entertainment, and would highly recommend Matt as a wedding DJ/emcee

expertise and skills to help us do that well. He was enthusiastic about all our ideas, getting to know us, and making sure the reception was what we wanted it to be. On the day, he was so responsive to our guests and their requests, and even included my nephew by letting him help with some DJ stuff which he just loved! He really made our reception so much fun and all our guests had a great time. The dance floor was never empty!

the stress out of the process. We received many compliments on how the entertainment and music was run throughout the night, and I felt like I had a great deal of input on the choices but was confident in Matthew running the show so I could enjoy my wedding. We would highly recommend to other couples.

ster's wedding. It all started in 2020 when she had her full list of vendors and venue booked - then hit the pandemic. Fast forward a few months and 2 new wedding dates later and she had to rebook all of her vendors, unfortunately where she was getting married there weren't many to choose from so I had her reach out to some of the vendors I have worked alongside in Sacramento and see if they would be willing to travel/had the date available. Lucky us Matt Cope with Cope Entertainment had the date free and was willing/excited to travel with us for her wedding! Matt did a phenomenal job keeping the party going, our families could not say enough amazing praises for Matt and his professionalism. Being in the industry I truly have to say that Matt far exceeded my expectations and the many weddings we have worked together after my sister's wedding have proven to be the same praise: incredibly professional, smooth in his transitions and sure to keep the party going. I cannot thank him enough for stepping in to help my sister in a pinch and drive a few hours out of his way, on his own dime, to ensure their wedding was perfect. I am looking forward to a year ahead of working alongside Matt on many more phenomenal weddings.

our guests out on the dance floor! Anybody would be lucky to hire Cope entertainment for their wedding!

y sound and worked flawlessly. I highly recommend Matthew for any event, he was great to work with and did an excellent job as our MC/DJ!!!

ich was very meaningful to us.

s all about what his client wants and even more. Everything revolves around the bride and groom. He meets with you beforehand to go over all the details. Hands down, best Dj everrrrrrr!

nd made sure everyone had a great time! Everyone at the wedding loved Him!

ot of extra onto our plate. We got a ton of compliments on the music!
