I hired Alicia to do photos for my wedding because of a recommendation from a friend. The initial work of hiring her was fairly smooth. We spoke by phone and I signed a contract. As it got closer to the wedding though it became very difficult to connect with Alicia. I would call and email and get no response. Alicia would set up specific times to talk with me and then wouldn't call me at the pre-arranged time. It was frustrating and made me anxious going into the wedding. We did eventually talk before the wedding and I tried to be optimistic. On the day of the wedding both Alicia and her assistant photographer were on time and were professional at the wedding. No problems during the wedding. After the wedding I have run into a number of issues. There was a specific photo from the wedding reception that I was really looking forward to. Family members who haven't been together in over a decade were all in one photo. So I was really displeased when that photo was lost and I never saw it. Alicia's response to me was that "sometimes brides think I took a photo but really I didn't, and it was another guest taking the photo". No. I remember the photo vividly as do many of my guests. There is no doubt in my mind that Alicia took the photo but i never got to see it. Update: After seeing this review, Alicia was able to find the lost photo. I did 3 separate orders for photos after my wedding. The first 2 orders arrived quickly and the quality of the photos was very good. Then I decided to order a 3rd set. When this order arrived it was very odd because the photos from this order don't match the other photos. They were printed on a different paper and now the photos don't match. When I contacted Alicia asking why this was, she just never responded. It has now been almost a week and no answer from Alicia to my question. Update: Alicia contacted me just shy of a week after I asked her about the difference in my photos. She said it was normal that a batch order be printed on matte paper. I told her she might want to update her website to say as much since i wouldn't have ordered the photos if I knew they would come on a different paper from the previous photos. Alicia said she did update her website to include this information. There was another odd interaction where at one point Alicia forwarded me an email chain between her and my mother-in-law without much explanation. I'm still not entirely sure why it was forwarded to me but my husband surmised that Alicia wanted me to see some critical emails that my mother-in-law had sent her. The whole thing was very odd. My mother-in-law had issues ordering photos from Alicia. That had nothing to do with me. Bottom line is that you are going to spend a ton of money on a wedding photographer in Boston. I have friends who had very responsive photographers and never had any issues with orders. For the amount of money I spent i would have preferred to work with someone who was more responsive and more forthcoming about differences in photo paper.

Alicia was awesome to work with and so upbeat for our engagement session on the Cape despite the 40 degree weather! She found some great places to take pictures and was really creative. She was easy going and fun to be around. So excited that she's taking our wedding photos too! Can't recommend her highly enough.

I was so happy with the service we got from Alicia, she made us feel so comfortable and helped to make the day perfect. The photos are AMAZING and I can't stop looking at them! I would work with her again in a heartbeat.
