Corduroy Inn & Lodge

had spacious and well equipped rooms complete with luxury details like robes and heated floors. Many of our guests also loved the pet friendly options. In addition, Corduroy served as our bar and catering team, all handled on site with an award winning executive chef and locally sourced ingredients. As a couple that loves food, we knew a good meal was a priority and man was it delivered. Their staff was attentive, fun, and exceeded every expectation (including the pink glitter I insisted on having in my signature drink). At the center of it all is Jim Ed, the most infectiously energetic and funny man, who is now family to us. He manages the chaos with grace and we trusted him from the minute we met him. This is THE destination for a WV wedding and I would pick the team at Corduroy a million times over again.  They earned our highest praise and tremendous gratitude for all they did to make our wedding day perfect.

aff were. Every staff member we interacted with really enjoys what they do and takes pride in making sure couples and their families/friends have a spectacular experience. You can’t beat the gorgeous location but it’s really all of the work that the staff put in that made the weekend magical. Our family and friends still talk about how much fun they had and how much they enjoyed their experience here. The coordinator is an amazing human being who makes sure the bride and the groom have everything they need and ensures every box is checked and every plan is seen through to the end. As a stressed out bride myself, the Corduroy Inn was excellent at making everything as stress free as possible so we could all enjoy our special weekend!

ingful time with our friends and family all weekend at the the restaurant/bar on site, running back and forth between our rooms at the lodge and venturing over to the village. Jim Ed facilitated the day's events and with the help of his staff everything ran efficiently. He even made sure to spend time with me and my husband to clean up the bottom of my dress after photos before entering into the reception. We are so glad we braced the snowy mountain for our perfect winter wedding.

ur day was handled with such care, professionalism, and genuine kindness, allowing us to be fully present and soak in every second. Jim Ed was truly exceptional as our day-of coordinator. His calm presence, attention to detail, and seamless execution gave us complete peace of mind and made our day feel effortless. The weekend could not have happened without London and Dan, both gentlemen who were friendly, efficient, and kept the celebration going all weekend, making sure every detail was perfect. Our decorator brought our vision to life in the most beautiful way—every detail felt intentional, personal, and absolutely stunning. The chef made our tasting such a fun and memorable experience, and the wedding dinner itself exceeded all expectations. Our assortment of cupcakes made by These Cakes by Monica were absolutely delicious. They were beautifully presented and tasted just as amazing as they looked. Our guests are still raving about how wonderful the food was. Trevor at the front desk went above and beyond to help and accommodate our guests throughout the weekend, making everyone feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they arrived. This venue is not just beautiful—it is filled with people who genuinely care and who pour their hearts into what they do. We will forever be grateful for the memories made here and cannot recommend this venue enough to any couple looking for a truly unforgettable wedding experience.

absolutely perfect. The venue itself is stunning—nestled on top of the mountains, it offers breathtaking views, elegant yet cozy spaces, and a unique charm that made our day feel truly special and intimate. A huge part of what made our day so exceptional was Jim Ed, the event coordinator. He was absolutely phenomenal—organized, responsive, calming, and always two steps ahead. Jim Ed truly cared about every detail and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. His experience and professionalism gave us complete peace of mind, and we honestly can’t imagine our wedding day without him. The rest of the staff were also fantastic—attentive, friendly, and completely on top of everything. Our guests are still raving about the atmosphere, the food, and how smooth and beautiful the entire event was. The convenience of having everything in one place—ceremony, reception, and lodging—made the whole weekend stress-free and enjoyable for everyone. If you're looking for a venue that combines beauty, warmth, and exceptional service, look no further than the Corduroy Inn. It exceeded all our expectations and gave us memories we will cherish for a lifetime. Thank you, Jim Ed and the entire Corduroy Inn team, for making our wedding truly unforgettable!

taff, Jim Ed, really helped make everything look and feel special seamlessly. I cannot recommend this venue enough.

im Ed and his team throughout our two-year engagement to ensure that every last detail was perfect. I gave Jim Ed and his team quite the task as I envisioned an over-the-top "more is more" wedding that exuded the feel of a luxe mountain getaway and a glamorous vibe with natural touches that paid respect to the beautiful forest location. Jim Ed is a legitimate STAR in the wedding industry. He is always on top of everything going on at the property and will keep track of all of the details with you. As soon as we met Jim Ed in early October 2022, we knew that he was just the person for us. You can immediately pick up on his extensive expertise. His bubbly personality is such a breath of fresh air, and you will be challenged to not laugh uncontrollably with him. His sense of humor is phenomenal. Jim Ed will keep your spirits up and your enthusiasm high, and he can also empathize with you during challenging moments. His genuine care for his couples shines through. It is obvious that for him, this is not just a job; he is with you all the way to wedding day to ensure that you truly get your dream experience. Jim Ed is a fiercely loyal advocate for his couples, and it is a wonderful thing to know, without a doubt, that you are not just a number, not just a catering order - You are people who matter. Jim Ed and the Corduroy team want to see you have the best day of your life, and they will go above and beyond to make sure you get what you desire. Have family members getting out of line? Jim Ed is on it. Need an energy drink the morning of the wedding? Jim Ed will literally go to the store for you. Thought of a last minute issue or just want to throw out some ideas that popped up in your head? Jim Ed is a quick text or call away. Need help picturing what your layout will look like? Jim Ed and his team will turn the reception space inside out for you if you want. Do you come to check-in meetings with a dozen pages of detailed questions like me? No problem, Jim Ed has the answers. I am the first to say that, as a self-proclaimed super planner, I am legitimately hard to impress, and Corduroy pulled off impressing even me. We were blown away by how beautiful everything was and how smoothly the day went. People always say that things will go wrong on your wedding day, but that didn't happen at ours. It was perfect. If you are looking for a stunning location to say "I do" in the mountains in the heart of West Virginia, look no further - You have found your match made in Almost Heaven. I genuinely miss working with Jim Ed. I'm going to have to come up with some good excuses to come back and visit so we can reminisce on the best day of my entire life! We thank Jim Ed and the rest of the Corduroy wedding team for giving us the experience of a lifetime.

llroom... this place has it all. When you spend your wedding week/weekend at Corduroy Inn, time stands still. You cannot help but to be in the moment, focused only on those you love the most and embracing all of God's creative majesty! Corduroy Inn is perfect for a destination wedding because they have full accomodations to host your entire family via plush hotel rooms and a plethora dining options. But what really sets Corduroy Inn apart is the amazing staff! Lead by James (Jim Ed) Roush, the whole team truly cares about making "Wedding Day" special for every couple! To say they go above and beyond is an understatement... they do whatever it takes to make one's wedding dreams come true! This place is a MUST SEE! Do yourself a favor and book a tour today!

e views alone are worth getting married here. The air legit smells sweeter! The Corduroy Inn and Lodge is the best place on the mountain to stay and to eat, with three onsite dining options. The chef at their high end restaurant, Appalachia Kitchen, is award winning and his food is literally so amazing. That is who caters the plated meal option for the reception and cocktail hour. Our guests were raving about how great the food was! The staff were all so attentive and sweet throughout the entire weekend. My husband and I felt like we were a king and queen, they seriously went above and beyond. The views from the ballroom balcony where the reception is held look over western territory and made for a beautiful backdrop to our day and for amazing photos. The main selling point of this venue is Jim Ed. He is your weekend coordinator that is included in the venue fee. He alone is worth triple the venue fee. He is amazing! So amazing that during the reception my guests started an impromptu "Jim Ed" chant on the dance floor! I mean he was such an amazing help through the entire process and I sent this poor man at least a million emails. He has an extreme attention to detail and he really truly wants you to have an experience you won't forget. It is not just a job for him and you can tell. He made sure that we were taken care of and he took care of some unruly guests that we had. I mean he is a wedding coordinator, drill sergeant and security guard all in one! He does this all even while maintaining his sassy and polite disposition! He also has a great relationship with local vendors that he gives you a list of when you book the venue. Every single person that we worked with on that list was top notch amazing. I mean we had the freakin A Team for our wedding. Once you take the venue tour and see the space and the rooms and you meet Jim Ed its pretty much impossible to say no to getting married here. Please heed my word and just book it. I have zero regrets and honestly would have paid triple what we did just to do it all over again. It was worth every penny. From the updated spotless rooms, all the amazing hotel and wait staff and Jim Ed you can literally not go wrong. I felt like it was my home after the weekend was over and I can't wait until we return for a ski trip this winter to see all the awesome people that work at the Corduroy Inn and Lodge. Just book the dang place already! You won't regret it :) Plus I got an amazingly cute husband out of it and Jim Ed even let us go truffle hunting for sunset pictures halfway through the reception!

d, the staff were so accommodating and did not miss a beat!

in house catering, and of course to be able to see the beauty of West Virginia. The Corduroy Inn & Lodge was above and beyond anything I could have dreamed! From the moment I toured the venue and met Jim Ed, I knew I was going to have my wedding there- he is amazing. He listened to everything that I wanted for my wedding and was able to make it all possible, no matter how crazy the idea. For months out, Jim Ed was responsive, accommodating, and so supportive of our wedding vision. We were in constant communication on every detail of the wedding, he even assisted in getting our friend certified to be our officiant and make sure it was all done properly. Such an amazing perk to the venue is that you are the only wedding there and you get 100% of the staff and Jim Ed's attention for the whole weekend. We went up on Thursday morning and were able to begin setting up (Jim and his team even already had tables, linens, and silverware set up perfectly). This took away so much stress of trying to get things all done in one day and there was no rush to clean up on Sunday morning after the reception. From the moment our guests arrived until they were checking out, we got nothing but amazing feedback of how great all the staff was, from Trevor at the front desk, to Vicky the housekeeper! We all truly felt like a big family by the end of the weekend and had such great stories to tell on Sunday morning. I could not have done this wedding without Jim Ed and his team. They truly are one of a kind and make sure you have the absolute best experience possible. Anytime I was worried about something getting done or something that needed to happen, Jim Ed was always one step ahead of me, he had everything under control and did it all with a smile on his face. All of our guests were raving about how incredible he was. I felt like a guest at my own wedding and I owe it all to Jim Ed and The Corduroy Inn & Lodge. The only negative thing I have to say is that the day truly went by too fast. Thank you for giving me the wedding of my dreams!

endors we would need to book and spoke to us about the many amenities Corduroy Inn offers. Food, drinks, tables, plates/silverware, dance floor, and two ceremony choices are some of the amenities. It was an incredible relief to not worry about finding a food vendor, and the food is AMAZING quality. It was convenient for family and friends to stay in the inn, and everything is so centrally located. A shuttle (driven oftentimes by Jim Ed himself) was available to drive guests from place to place. The wedding day was incredibly stress free and gorgeously executed. All the wedding guests gushed about the professionalism and beauty of the ceremony and reception. My husband and I had the best day of our lives, honestly!!

est Virginia. Everything in the Lodge and Inn is super updated, and the banquet hall is so pretty without any decorations (which saves you time and money). The food is incredible, and the staff is super nice and helpful. Jim Ed Roush, the manager of Corduroy, acts as a de facto wedding planner if you need him, and he is a life saver. So glad I got married here, and I can't wait to go back to the Corduroy for anniversaries.

d personal touches by Jim Ed and his staff were beyond compare!! The event was an entire weekend of flawless festivities for the Bridal Party and the guests thanks to Jim Ed, Monica, Katelynn, and Dan! Our Groom and his Bride truly had the wedding of their dreams!

ption was FLAWLESS. I honestly could not imagine the day going any other way. JimEd was the best go-to man and problem solver throughout the planning process and on the day of. A bridesmaid needed Benadryl, and guess what? JimEd had Benadryl! The wraparound porch is like a 2in1 deal, it feels like you’re outside without having to worry about mother natures outdoor decisions. My family likes to party and everyone stayed at the Corduroy Inn to avoid driving unsafely down the mountain. 10/10 recommend this location for your wedding or other event!!!

a type A person and need to know absolutely everything that is happening, especially being so far away 😂 Jim Ed was so easy going and helped answer any question I had no matter the day or time! The weather ended up snowing outside for our outdoor ceremony but Jim Ed made my wedding dream come true! It was so much fun, stress free, gorgeous, on time and absolutely perfect! The venue is superb. You can’t beat that absolute gorgeous view of the mountains! The Corduroy Inn and Lodge was PERFECT for us and our guest. It’s so clean, affordable, near the town, spacious and so much more. The staff were so professional and friendly. I can’t thank Jim Ed and staff enough for helping me create the wedding of my dreams!!❤️

hanks to Jim Ed. I loved working with him throughout the whole planning process. Book your wedding at the Corduroy Inn & Lodge- you won’t regret it!

e wedding coordinator, Jim Ed, is the total package. He made the planning process extremely easy and is very knowledgeable when it comes to every little detail to create the wedding of our dreams. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and all of the staff were superb. The chef is top notch and all of our guests absolutely enjoyed the food. If you are looking for a romantic venue over looking the mountain then the Corduroy Inn is for you! I 100% would recommend this venue to a friend.

he weekend unforgettable and helped bring our vision to life. They went out of their way to make sure everything ran smoothly the entire weekend from start to finish and was stress free. How many brides can say that nothing went wrong at their wedding?!? The venue itself is amazing and truly affordable for everything you get. We got so many compliments from guests on the food, views (of course) and the hotel rooms. 10/10 recommend the Corduroy for your wedding! (Photos by Hannah Rob Photography)

l day long. There were no schedule issues or other unexpected changes. We felt like we were a priority and that’s really all you can ask for! Plus, can’t beat the view!!

th our initial discussions, through the tasting session, and to the final preparation and the wedding & reception itself.  So easy to work with, and everything was simply amazing.  We looked at quite a few venues – this was by far their favorite and we are 100% certain we made the right choice.  Jim Ed and Corduroy made our daughter’s dream wedding a reality – Thank You.

ible. Guests were able to stay at the Inn for convivence. The ceremony space was stunning and easily converted into our reception space. Jim Ed Roush, the manager, was helpful throughout the wedding planning process both day and night. He made the weekend run smoothly and kept everyone together with his special flair and radiating joy. Many compliments were given throughout the weekend from guests who loved every moment. We highly recommend the Corduroy Inn & Lodge if you are looking for a beautiful event space with wonderful hospitality!

to stay in the same location as all the events. Jim Ed Roush, the manager, was delightful to work with. He made sure everything ran smoothly and had that extra special touch. I didn’t have to worry about anything. The facility is new and the view is out of this world. We had lots of compliments from our guests. From the food to the hospitality to the decor it was top notch. Some said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I highly recommended the Corduroy Inn!!!

ful to be involved in all aspects of the wedding. I can literally say that JimEd not only listened to what the Bride wanted but delivered 110%. He was with us every step, giving advice and direction along the way. His experience was obvious and his communication and follow through was impeccable. From the perfect cake Monica made to the incredible food from Chef Scott, to the venue, and day of organization, we could not have been happier. I highly recommend The Corduroy Inn, JimEd and team if you want a beautiful, stress free experience!

find vendors if you are looking! They are so experienced and I had nothing to worry about going into the wedding. As for the day of, they made everything move SO smoothly and made us feel so special. There is nothing you can throw at Jim Ed that he isn’t ready for or can’t do! My whole wedding party was sooooo impressed! If I could do it all over again (I wish we could) I wouldn’t change a thing! Thank you Corduroy inn and lodge!!!

e second I walked on the property, I knew this was the place for me! As a type A person/bride, I never had to worry that whatever question or request arose would be handled immediately and never to be thought of again. Jim Ed, alone, plus the addition of the staff, makes this place beyond outstanding. I do not even have to mention The facilities or the BREATHTAKING views to sell someone here. On top of everything, the comfort of knowing you can host all of your events and most of your guests (in my case) on-site makes it even more attractive. Hands down the best venue I have ever been to as a guest, let alone planning an event! Five stars is not enough for this place!

knew wholeheartedly that we wanted him to coordinate our wedding. Jim Ed and his staff do an excellent job making sure everything is perfect, down to the last detail. The ballroom is lovely, and the staff’s efficiency at flipping the room from wedding venue, in front of the gorgeous mountain views, to a beautiful reception set up is amazing. The food was delicious, the rooms are quite comfortable. We absolutely loved having a destination wedding with our dearest friends and family all staying in the same place over the weekend. In addition, the hotel includes fun passes for your guests to explore Snowshoe Mountain! By the time the wedding was over Jim Ed felt more like a close friend than a wedding coordinator, we loved the whole wedding experience at the Corduroy Inn and Lodge, and highly recommend this venue!!

mind throughout the day. Anytime we had a request - generally small/trivial things - he took care of it immediately and ensured that we not worry about it. His responsiveness in the several months leading up to the event was second to none. He consistently assisted in answering questions and/or otherwise helping out with a steady stream of planning requests about the venue throughout that time. No request ever felt off-limits, even if it was the first time they heard such a request. When I asked for a platform for the balcony for speeches the week before the wedding, he had one built within 24 hours. The event’s flow was nearly flawless, with guests providing a lot of positive feedback about implementation details and planning being excellent from the guest perspective. The food quality was excellent; we got tons of positive feedback from guests both regarding entrees and apps. The variety room type offerings as well as the food and venue offerings at the three on-property restaurants is wonderful. Every single staff member at the venue was kind, thoughtful, and went out of their way to meet guest needs. From Matt and Sonya at the front desk answering first-time guest questions to Katelyn at the bar making connections with our guests and bringing the fun to Chef Scott being willing to make anything we wanted for our after party, I cannot say enough positive things about the people who make up Corduroy. And the view… we were lucky enough to have an insanely clear day with a million-dollar sunset view on the balcony. We decided to do half our speeches on the mountain view balcony after cocktail hour to really take advantage of the view (highly recommend both logistically and for the view). I know I’ve mentioned the guest experience above but want to really hammer home the degree to which the staff went out of their way to provide a guest experience that surpassed their expectations and made their weekend memorable, personal, and special.

d handled everything, we were able to truly enjoy our wedding. We had guests stay at the Corduroy House, the Inn, and the Lodge. The House is a beautiful cabin close to the Inn and Lodge. Very spacious and comfortable. We would definitely stay at any of the above again! All of them have wonderful views and the rooms themselves are beautiful. The best part at the lodge, are the heated floors in the bathroom! The food at our reception was amazing, we were told by several guests that the beef we had was the best they’d ever had. We loved everything about our wedding and we owe a great deal to how well they executed the event! Highly recommend!

ily. Our guest felt welcomed and loved staying at the INN as well. I highly recommend Corduroy Inn & Lodge! If I could give them 10 stars I would we will be going back to visit soon! I LOVED,LOVED,LOVED my whole wedding experience here and would tell any Bride wanting to have a beautiful mountain view wedding this is the place to be!

ot imagine a more attentive, efficient, and genuinely wonderful staff to make our wedding better, or run more smoothly. Literally nothing went wrong - how often do you hear that? The wedding coordinator is resourceful, thoughtful, and his experience with weddings is clear. There are not enough compliments or thanks we can give to show how much we appreciate the Corduroy, the venue, and the staff.

end was perfect! Leading up to the wedding we had great communication with Jim Ed. He joined the corduroy team in the beginning of the year, and has been a joy to work with! He would do such a great job checking in and making sure I had everything ready and if I didn’t he would give me resources to use! Corduroy was extremely accommodating of our requests and super willing to work with us! Last minute we changed our ceremony to the terrace and they did such a great job setting that up! The staff did a great job wearing masks which we really appreciated! They made the clean up process so easy for us! We are so grateful for the staff and can’t wait for our next trip up to Corduroy for a weekend getaway!

gust 2021. Jim Ed and staff were super helpful and the venue is just gorgeous. Being able to have the bridal suite just below the ceremony and reception was key! In addition, with the classic Snowshoe weather, being able to move indoors at the last minute, and then open the amazing terrace back up as the weather cleared was fantastic. Highly recommend!

s about being one of the first couples to use the venue, but we absolutely loved the location and THE VIEWS! Our concerns were quickly put to rest when we met the team at the Corduroy. Initially we worked with Kristin Billings who owns the hotel along with her husband. She was very professional and helpful. She was willing to answer all of our endless questions :) Then we met Jim Ed, the event coordinator. I cannot say enough about this man and am honestly tearing up a little while writing this. He is absolutely amazing. He goes above and beyond what I expected. He was extremely prompt with responses to all of our questions during the planning process. Leading up to our wedding weekend, we were texting back and forth, ironing out the little details. On the day of the rehearsal and the wedding, he made sure everything ran so smoothly. He made sure the bridal party ate breakfast and lunch and kept in constant contact with me as the weather was looking a bit iffy for our outdoor ceremony at Snowshoe. Everything went so perfectly! I loved that we were the only couple using the venue all weekend. Nothing felt rushed and we were so well taken care of. Our guests went on and on about how beautiful the ballroom and the deck were. The food was delicious as well and the servers were prompt and professional. I would absolutely recommend this venue!

currently living. My now husband suggested Snowshoe, and we stumbled on a brand new venue that wasn’t even open yet. We didn’t realize we were stumbling on the best decision we could have made. From the views to the staff to the food, everything was perfect. The views are breathtaking. The balcony and folding doors allow you to feel like you are able to flow throughout the venue with ease. It truly allows you to feel like you are having an outdoor wedding without being outdoors (or keep it indoors if that is what you wish). The clean decor of the room allows you to make it your own with ease. Chef Ed may be one of the most talented chefs in West Virginia especially when feeding 200 people. All of the food for the rehearsal, the day of the wedding, and the brunch the next day was absolutely spectacular. Even the late night pizza was amazing (highly recommend late night snacks!!). The staff at the corduroy are seriously top notch. They made sure everything was perfect for everyone. Every detail was looked at three or four times, and they did not hesitate to help is with whatever we needed. Their coordinators, Jim Ed and Lydia, made sure we were taken care of the entire time. They are upbeat and caring and always down for a laugh in the middle of a busy wedding day. They take charge when needed. Most of our guests complimented how amazing entire staff was all weekend. Honestly, I’m tearing up writing this because of how attentive they were to us. They worked so well with our wedding planner, Isabella Leon, to make our day everything we wanted. We had some off the wall ideas that they were happy to go along with, and we were so grateful for that considering a lot of venues hesitate to go off the standard. We have heard absolute rave reviews from all of our guests. From the accommodations at the hotel to the wedding itself, everything review from our guests were 5 out of 5 stars. Even a week later, people are still complimenting the wedding, venue and especially, the food. If you are from WV, this is probably one of the best wedding venues to show your guests how beautiful our state is. If you are not from WV, please come and enjoy all West Virginia has to offer. If we could give The Corduroy Inn more than 5 stars, we would. I could go on and on with everything they did for us in a three day span and everything they did before the wedding weekend, but I don’t think the review will let me write that much. Thank you again Corduroy! You made our wedding weekend perfect!

re blessed to have Jim Ed and Lydia as our wedding coordinators and they saw to it that every detail was executed to absolute perfection! This venue gave us everything we wanted in a mountain top wedding with the terraces that open to the outside and attached to the beautiful ballroom. The outdoor terraces are heated, so weather was not an issue. We are still getting compliments from our guests as to the beauty of the venue itself and how efficient the staff flipped the room from the ceremony with chairs and an alter, to the reception with tables, centerpieces, place settings, and a dance floor. All while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour with appetizers to die for! We had nearly 200 guests and their meals were plated and served warm and totally delicious. The chef is .... just beyond! You can't go wrong with this venue! Being able to stay onsite in one of the beautiful guest rooms was so convenient. I'm so thankful that we chose this venue. I'm so thankful that Jim Ed and Lydia were our coordinators. Truly friends for life. 10 stars!!!!
