JOEY AND HIS WHOLE TEAM: We tossed many curveballs at Joey and his team and they hit them out of the park. Can we have the bar to stay open during dinner? DONE We have 17 different people with allergies ranging from gluten free, nut free, dairy free, celiac, you name it can we accommodate all of them? DONE My best man and father died a few months before the wedding. Can we have a video montage play of his last words and speech anywhere? DONE (They put him on a big screen so all 250 guests could see and hear him perfectly, everyone cried, don’t do that.) Is there any chance we can have an open bar, but only for wedding guests a few hours leading up to the wedding? In a different room? Because our friends and families are all alcoholics? DONE I know you have a shuttle, can it take the wedding party for pictures? DONE How about tattoos? Can we bring in a tattoo artist to the reception to give our guests free tattoos? DONE The bride and her bridal party need more time than 92 Vegas show girls to get ready, can someone show up at 8am, 10 hours before the wedding, and let them in? DONE Can we get married in a different room than the reception? DONE Remember our alcoholic friends and family? They need more drinks after the wedding ends, 8 hours of drinking isn’t enough for those animals. Can we supply pizza and apps after the wedding is over, in the main bar? DONE Can we have a DJ for said after party? DONE Can we extend the shuttle a little longer at the last minute? DONE Is there any way that the bride, groom, friends and family don’t have to do anything at all? From decorations, cook table clean up, tear down? DONE THE CORE EVENT CENTER BUILDING Core Event Center has a huge fully covered patio that weddings can use for guests to go outside and sit even if it rains, I bet the patio holds over 100 people. That’s what we liked most. There are many places nearby, that they will drive the wedding party to and from for pictures. We lucked out and got a nice day. We loved the huge staircase, it made for some of our best pictures. The food was as good as anyone has ever had. What we remember most about the wedding was just how every time my wife of about 2 hours and I looked around people were having a blast. Here’s the thing: If you are looking for a more modern spot with anything you can dream up, this is your place. Large space, many different rooms, tons of parking, air conditioning (for us fat folk), two large restrooms, full scale kitchen, and a staff that literally bent over backwards like they were Mary Lou Retton in the 84 summer Olympics -- CORE is it. When we run into family and friends they always say how this wedding was the best ever. We agree, even though obviously partial. We owe those comments and our general happiness to Core Event Center, Joey, and the entire staff. We also met our wedding coordinator and decorator, Lainie, through Core Event Center and that was truly one of the best decisions we ever made. We recommend her to EVERYONE.
