Wedding cost: $6,250–$7,750, including an additional $1,500 management plus fee. (DONT GET MANAGEMENT PLUS)
Overall, we were disappointed with the amount of coordination and servic...
e we received for the price we paid. These were the main issues we experienced:
* $1,500 management/coordinator fee: We paid an additional $1,500 for event coordination, but many responsibilities still fell on me, my family, and the wedding party. The coordinator also left the wedding early.
* Snack table: Setting up and maintaining the snack table was supposed to be handled by the coordinator. Instead, my stepmom, who was part of the wedding, had to cut the fruit herself, which caused her to be late getting ready.
* Reserved family tables: We had one table reserved for the groom’s immediate family and one for the bride’s immediate family. The groom’s family began filling the bride’s family table, leaving my family without seats. I, as the bride, had to find the coordinator and ask her to address it. This was an uncomfortable situation that could have easily been avoided with better coordination.
* Bridal suite access: We were told the bridal suite would be available at 10:00 AM, but it was not opened until around 10:30–10:40 AM. Our hairstylist was stuck outside waiting, which caused us to fall behind on hair and getting ready.
* Bridal suite drinks: We were told the bridal suite would have the bride’s favorite drinks and a round of mimosas made for us. Neither was provided.
* Bar drinks: We specifically requested Coronas and Modelos and surfside lemonades for the bide. The Modelos and surfside lemonades were not provided. I contacted to coordinator about the surfside drinks and she said she had to go to the store. The only ones they were able to find were Surfside Blueberry Lemonades, which we accepted, but I feel we should not have been charged for them because the drinks we were promised were not available when we were supposed to have them.
* Limited venue hours: The venue was only available to us from 10:00 AM–12:00 AM. If we wanted two additional hours, we were required to pay another $1,000. For a wedding costing up to $7,750, we felt the available time was very limited.
* Ceremony delay: The ceremony started late, and it appeared the coordinators were not ready when they needed to be. I was rushed toward the ceremony area right before walking down the aisle.
* Dress/golf cart incident: While being rushed to the ceremony, the golf cart/security driver was holding onto the back of my dress and repeatedly stepped/tripped on it, causing me to trip as well. I was nearly in tears moments before walking down the aisle because of how stressful the situation became.
* Grandparent transportation: The golf cart drivers were also too rough with our grandparents. My grandmother was being taken up the hill to the reception area when the driver took off so quickly that she dropped her cane. I had to yell at the driver to slow down and be careful with her.
Overall
We truly appreciate the beautiful venue and the people who worked hard to make our wedding special. However, with the overall cost being $6,250–$7,750, and especially with the additional $1,500 management fee, we expected much more hands-on coordination and attention to detail.
Too many responsibilities and problems were left for the bride, family, and wedding party to handle on a day when we should have been able to simply enjoy our wedding.
