gars and were going to have a cigar roller come to the wedding for two hours to hand roll cigars during the reception. My family is Cuban and traveled in from Florida, so having someone there to hand roll the cigars was a very big deal for us.
However, the Monday before our wedding, the owner called me and told me that the cigar roller they assigned to our event had a family emergency and could not make it. I truly understand this emergency is unavoidable. However, they had no one who could replace him for our wedding. The owner stated that he could give us 25 extra cigars "for free" with nice display boxes, lighters, and cigar cutters and mail them to us "for free". I understand that he was trying to make it better. However, it felt as though he was stating that he was doing us a favor by mailing them when he canceled the main portion of our contract abruptly. The main attraction of this vendor for us was the person coming to do the display of hand rolling the cigars.
I truly understand family emergencies come up, but he did not offer any sort of partial refund for canceling the main "entertainment" portion of our contract. I don't know that we would have otherwise spent $1,314 on 100 cigars.
