Cosmic Groove was an invaluable component of our wedding reception at the Henry Ford Museum. I had several people tell me (the groom) how much they loved the band, how cool it was to have live music in that space, and how good they thought the songs were. Even though they were ripping through song after song rom 9 pm right up until the 1 am cutoff time (with fun short set breaks with songs we chose), both band and wedding-goers alike had plenty of energy to dance and sing throughout the night. My bride told me this was the single best investment we made during the wedding. Leading up to the wedding, TJ was very helpful answering our questions over calls and making sure he had all the details right to ensure our night was a success. Their setlist is deep which made for a fun time choosing the songs we wanted to hear. They even were able to add on the ceremony music on after we signed the initial contract and their single keyboardist had a classy setup. There were no mistakes on the emcee-ing front either. 5 stars without a doubt.

From the grand entrance to the last dance, Cosmic Groove brought the party to our wedding reception! My wife and I truly enjoyed our own reception and were so happy with the overall execution! The band was definitely able to read the room and adjust their set appropriately. Guests of all ages were happy with the music. TJ is a great band leader and made the reception planning really easy!

It's impossible for me to recommend working with Cosmic Groove any more than I do! To be honest, I wasn't sure if I needed a live band at the wedding, but at my fiance's insistence we decided to go with Cosmic Groove, and I am a full live-band convert - they made all the difference at our wedding! To start with the most important, the quality and energy of the live music that they provide made our wedding super fun - the dance floor was bumping the entire evening, and I got so many compliments on how the band set the vibe for a party! If you're looking for a wonderful band to keep your guests dancing, look no further - Cosmic Groove does a great job and is a true value for an 8 person band! However, beyond that, TJ and all of Cosmic Groove was a joy to work with. We had some friends play the piano/dance as I was walking down the aisle, and the pianist happily helped us organize his piano for the ceremony and TJ made sure they were mic'd and organized beforehand. They were at our wedding venue before I was getting set up and organized, and everything went off without a hitch. The band also learned an extra song that wasn't on their original list for us! I think having the help and performance of Cosmic Groove at our wedding honestly made our wedding the perfect event that it was, and I cannot recommend them highly enough!

All I can say is wow! T.J. and the Cosmic Groove band was nothing short of incredible! Not only are they extremely talented musicians who are great at bringing the energy to the party and keeping guests dancing the whole night, but they are incredibly professional as well. Cosmic Groove was the highlight of our wedding! Multiple guests were saying how amazing the band was and asking how we found them! T.J. was so organized, an excellent communicator, and so very accommodating. We loved working with him every step of the way! He went out of his way to ensure we had the perfect day, and we certainly did. We had guests of all ages attending, and at one point there was hardly any room left on the dance floor because everyone was dancing and having a great time! Book them now and you definitely won't regret it! We were so impressed and if we could get married again, we'd book them again! Thank you, Cosmic Groove, for playing such a monumental part in our wedding day! We had a blast with you guys!

Absolutely INCREDIBLE! Cosmic Groove played at my sister's wedding in August 2018. When I tied the knot in November 2021, there was no doubt that I would be booking with Cosmic Groove for our wedding reception. TJ is extremely responsive to all emails and any questions. For our wedding reception, we did not know exactly what room the band should set up in. TJ made a special trip out to the reception to meet with the wedding coordinator at the venue to find the perfect spot for them. The band is interactive with the crowd - they had blow up guitars (our guests loved!), danced with the crowd, and kept the party going all night. They were the absolute best! HIGHLY recommend to any bride/groom looking for a band for their reception!

Finding a band that you've never heard play live can be quite challenging, but with the help of the Detroit Event Company they led us to Cosmic Groove! From our very first interaction with TJ (the band leader) he was very organized, friendly and helped us figure out exactly what we wanted. Leading up to the day we were in constant communication and the band was one of my vendors i had 0 worries or doubts about (which means a lot when you’re the bride)! Day of the band arrived early, set up the reception and ceremony site equipment and made the whole day go smoothly! Then when the real party started… the dance floor was never empty! Everyone was grooving and just having the best time! They knew all the right songs to play, when to play them, and even had fun little props to interact with the crowd! I couldn’t have asked for a better, more talented & ready to rock band than Cosmic Groove! If you’re looking for a wedding band, look no further! Our guest are still raving over how much they loved them.

We couldn't recommend Cosmic Groove anymore highly. They were amazing. A month later, and folks are still talking about how great of a band we had at our wedding. TJ and crew were so professional. We had meetings leading up to the wedding that made me feel like they really wanted to get everything just right for us. During the wedding they brought such a party energy and sounded AMAZING (I can't tell you how many folks have said they couldn't believe the vocals!) The members of the band are friendly and well organized, pay excellent attention to detail and able to go with last second changes easily! The sound of the band was great! Everyone at the wedding commented on how great they sounded and the energy was awesome. 😎 The vocals, the instruments the emcee were all incredible. They were even super resources for ideas on ways to add to the wedding and remembered everything that i had mentioned wanting and then gave the night form by setting up a schedule for when what would happen. We had a fantastic night!🤩

Highly recommend Cosmic Groove as there wasn’t a facet that they didn’t excel with - huge playlist to choose from with great variety (and they sounded great on every song we selected), they were extremely professional as they responded promptly and also managed some things we hadn’t considered during our planning (providing a PA for ceremony, DJing for bridal-party entrances, arranging first dances, etc). Cosmic Groove was the highlight of many of our guests nights, as the dance floor was packed from start to finish. We couldn’t say enough good things about this group!

Oh. My. Gosh. Best band EVER!!! When we hired Cosmic Groove we would have never imagined we would experience a pandemic and have a giant wrench thrown into our wedding plans. We spoke on the phone all the time and they were willing to play wherever we ended up on the big day (as long as it was safe). They wore masks and completely rocked it out!! I still have friends and family telling me they were the best band they have ever heard. They made our day even more special and I cannot thank them enough!!

Everything about Cosmic Groove made my wedding truly a day to remember! TJ coordinated everything seamlessly. The band having an officiant I could hire made Cosmic Groove a one stop shop! Their piano player was able to create Disney songs into beautifully arranged piano pieces for us to walk down the aisle to. They are a band for all ages, from blow up guitars for the kids to a rock and roll 80s leaf blower for the hardcore dancers. Their music certainly does not disappoint, from Beatles, 80s, to Lizzo. They even learned songs just for us on our special day! Can't say enough good things about this band. Thank you Cosmic Groove, you made it a night to remember!!

The music was the best part of the wedding (other than saying I do). TJ and the band had my 90 year old grandfather out on the floor all night. Their performance was top notch, and I still have people reaching out asking for their name. I will refer everyone to these guys!!!!

Ryan and I recently relocated to MI for his job and were on the hunt for the PERFECT band to complete our wedding reception. We went to listen to a few but after we saw Cosmic Groove, we knew we had to have them! Their musical talent combined with their fun, spunky personalities were exactly what we were looking for! We cannot say enough about how amazing the band was, how musically talented they are and how they MADE our reception! The band exceeded our expectations and the expectations of our guests. They were extremely flexible and worked with us on the reception itinerary and every detail to ensure we were happy. TJ, the band's drummer, took the time to meet with us and our wedding planner to discuss what we wanted ahead of time. He was always very professional and responsive and we had a great deal of trust with him. Another band member also did a venue walk-through to ensure all details were covered. In addition to their excellent musical skills, they were also excellent emcees throughout the entire night and helped choreographer the evening. They had a great song list and we were able to pick the set list songs for our reception. They also offered to learn a few new songs and NAILED THEM! One of the band members was also able to customize a mash-up song for our first dance and provided the file before the wedding so that we could practice our dance! They were very engaging with the crowd and even played an encore (after our wedding guests were begging them to keep playing) - our friends are still raving about this today! If we could, we'd give Cosmic Groove 10 stars b/c 5 is not enough! They were simply AMAZING and I'd recommend them to any couple looking for the best wedding band in Detroit.

Cosmic Groove was absolutely wonderful! TJ worked with my husband and me to create a list of songs that perfectly fit us and the feel of our wedding. As a band, we originally assumed that we'd be limited to "what they know", but everyone in Cosmic Groove was so willing to learn new songs in order to provide us with everything we wanted. They provided beautiful live music for my ceremony and had an amazing energy through the entire reception. Add to that the fact that they were extremely reasonably priced for a 9-person band, and I can confidently say that Cosmic Groove was the best part my wedding (well, besides actually getting married)!

I may be a little biased, but TJ and the rest of the band made our wedding the best I have ever been to! From first song to the end of the night the dance floor was full of individuals of all ages! They have a wide variety of songs to play, and sound amazing. They have a lot of depth in the sound, and an overall amazing performance. They brought props for some of their songs which the little kids LOVED! TJ also served as our MC, and did a great job. He was very helpful in planning the wedding, from timing, announcements, and knowing which songs would be appropriate for certain things. We have had several people ask us who was our band and how can they hire them for events. Well worth the price, a 9 piece band, at a fraction of the cost from other bands we found (and need I say, much better sounding!)
