I do not recommend this venue for a wedding or any special event. From start to finish, the experience was stressful, unprofessional, and embarrassing. Communication was a nightmar...e—they never answered the office phone or either cell number, and it took days to get responses. I constantly had to chase them down for basic answers.
The contract was vague about cocktail hour requirements. I was later told I had to choose at least 3–5 options, each served to every guest, even if some guests wouldn’t be there. I wasn’t allowed to portion items myself, even though I was paying for it all.
On our wedding day, countless things went wrong. My sweetheart table never received the two pitchers of soda we paid for—we only got one cup each, even after reminding the owner. Guests said they never got pitchers of water or soda at their tables and were told staff was “busy doing food.” A child even asked for water and was told to go to the bar. Guests who asked for more potatoes received only four small pieces. The food was cold, portions small, and guests’ plates (and even cake) were cleared before they were finished. This even happened to a non-verbal guest with disabilities.
Several tables were missing chairs despite us providing an accurate guest count and paying for every seat. Some tables meant for 10 only had 8 or 9. When we asked about it, the owner rudely accused us of having eight extra guests—when in reality 10 people didn’t show up. She interrupted us repeatedly and said we “inconvenienced” her staff, even though we had already paid for all the seats.
The owner’s rude attitude extended to guests and even our paid vendors, leaving many asking us what was going on. It was humiliating to see our loved ones and professionals treated this way. At the end of the night, despite being told we could finish cleanup the next day, she forced us to rush out and started shutting off lights while we were still packing.
Planning with them was just as bad. The one-month meeting was delayed and only held three weeks before the wedding via Zoom—no final walkthrough. One meeting was canceled last-minute only because I texted to confirm. We were told early on we could decorate the night before if no event was scheduled, but then charged $100/hour when we tried. I paid $200 and arrived on time, but no one let us in for 45 minutes. We set up in the heat, without A/C or lights.
Extra charges kept appearing. The signed contract listed the bartender fee as $100, but they charged $150 and claimed prices had increased since we signed. They also repeatedly added random food items to our invoice before we even asked for them, trying to inflate the total.
This venue embarrassed us in front of our guests and vendors. The owner’s attitude was unacceptable, the service was unprofessional, and we were pushed to pay far more than what we received. My husband and I couldn’t even enjoy our celebration.
Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. This venue ruined moments that should have been joyful. What they offer is not worth the stress, extra costs, or lack of respect.
