My husband and I got married here a year ago in April. Jennifer, the events director was great the entire time. However the day of our wedding there were was an issue due to rude s...
taff that was simply unacceptable. There was a moment when we were taking pictures on the stairs of the venue as a wedding party directly after the ceremony. A VERY rude and who we perceive to be racist staff told us rudely that “this is the last picture because these two members need to walk up”. My maid of honor politely asked if they could take the elevator instead. The staff member responds that “there are people on the elevator”. My maid of honor said “well there are people here…”. The staff member rudely went back-and-forth with my maid of honor for a bit until walking away. Nearly moments after saying I do I was SO distraught to have an experience like this. It broke my heart.
I also want to mention that my husband and I were served our dinners after other tables. Once people were already eating Jennifer had to hurry and flag down one of the waiters to bring our plates once she noticed. That was a pretty big oversight for the wait staff to forget to feed the bride and groom at their own wedding.
I hate that I had to experience discrimination on my wedding day by the venue we paid so much money to. I would not recommend this location to anyone for this reason alone.
This was a great location and turned out to be decently priced. Overall a great ceremony and reception space. Staff was friendly and easy to work with.
We were one of the many couple whose wedding got postponed due to COVID, so the venue worked with us for almost two years to get this show on the road! I'm not sure if 2019-2020 wa...
s a time of transition for the Club, but we ended up working with 4 venue coordinators during the whole wedding planning process (i.e. a new person kept stepping into this role). Thankfully, this was more or less seamless, so planning wasn't necessarily hampered. The last person we worked with, Jennifer Wolf, is AMAZING, and I'm very glad that she was the one to see us through to the end.
There were many guests who commented that the venue is beautiful and the food that the kitchen produced was excellent (let's be honest..."wow this wedding food is so good!" is not a statement that is easy to come by). The reception area is also really nice. The open walls of the pavilion offer covering, but people didn't feel like they were boxed in by a room. The open walls also make it possible to enjoy the dusk hours, which are especially nice in the summertime.
I would say that the only unfortunate thing was that there is no "bridal suite" per se. The space that bridesmaids/the bride can touch up in is basically the women's locker room (which admittedly has a nice lounge area). It was not a private space, so as we were trying to get ready on the day-of, women who belonged to the club were walking in and out. Additionally, the bridal party gains access to this area at 2 pm, so we basically had to get ready offsite. Just to note, the Club also lacks a specific area for the groomsmen/groom to get ready, but it wasn't a particular problem in our case.
Overall, our experience here was great!!
Coto de Caza is without question, the absolute best venue to have your wedding at...my wife and I just got married there this past weekend and we're BEYOND happy with how everythin...
g turned out...to begin, the venue is breathtakingly beautiful!! the backdrop is all mountains and million dollar homes, there are several spots to take wedding photos at, including a bridge with 2 streams and a waterfall- YES, a waterfall...second, the staff there is extremely friendly, everyone there was very nice and helpful, from the valet to the restaurant staff, the event directors to the event staff, the bartenders, EVERYONE was A1!! Elizabeth (Liz), the private events director, is PHENOMENAL!! From the initial conversation all the way up to our wedding day, she was great!! her vibe and personality is warm and inviting, the walk through with her was very informative, her communication was on point, every question was answered and every concern was addressed, we have a baby girl that has a lot of food allergies which means she has a ton of dietary restrictions, Liz didn't shy away from our requests regarding her meal, instead she offered alternatives for our baby girl before we settled on certain foods for her to eat, Liz was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, we're so appreciative of her...leading up to our wedding, Liz was on top of every detail, nothing was overlooked; every email was responded to quickly on which resulted in helping to create the most perfect wedding my wife and I could've ever hope for...we love Liz and the whole staff at Coto, from top to bottom, front to back and everywhere in between, everything was PERFECT...our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was and how great the staff was, it was a truly awesome experience for everyone that was present that day- especially my wife and I...we honestly couldn't be happier with Liz, we love her!! dealing with her and the staff was nothing short of amazing
..do yourself a favor and go with Coto, I promise you won't be disappointed
We were so lucky to have our wedding at Coto de Caza. They did an amazing job helping us reformat our wedding when COVID struck, and were so accommodating of all of our needs and ...
wishes. Plus, the food (custom Mexican food menu) was DELICIOUS!
Daughter and Son-in-law's wedding at Coto was literally PERFECT. Working with Sarah and Alyssa made the entire experience pleasant and stress-free. The guests raved about how gorge...
ous the venue was and how wonderful the service/food/etc. was. Daughter did a thorough price comparison across ten venues and Coto was very competitive, but SO much nicer. We could not have been happier with the entire experience.
My now husband actually found this venue. He went to the open house on a Saturday as I was working and wanted me to visit as soon as possible because he loved it so much. Despite o...
ur desires to not be married at a golf course, this place was nothing like the typical golf course! The entire ceremony and reception were outside and they didn't nickel and dime you for every little thing like we felt most of the other venues we went to did. I loved this venue, and our pictures by the waterfall, by the trees and other areas really made it look like we weren't at a golf club! I loved this venue, and our pictures by the waterfall, by the trees and other areas really made it look like we weren't at a golf club. Of course, if you wanted the golf course look, you could get that too.
You could pay for upgrades, and we really wanted the market lights, so we paid for that since we couldn't bring in and hang our own lights (liability issues). We built our own wedding arch for 70$ as the rental price was extremely high (>500$). The winning factor was that they gave us the Sunday pricing on a Saturday which saved us 7K and they gave us 3 dates to pick from. Since we weren't committed to any particular date, this worked really well for us!
Sarah and Alyssa, the venue event planners, were extremely helpful leading up to the wedding. I think I emailed them almost everyday in the last 2 weeks before the wedding, and they were always so helpful and prompt in their response. Although these wonderful ladies were there, we were strongly recommended to hire a wedding planner as they weren't able to do our full wedding set up/decorating, and act as our day of coordinators for working with vendors. We originally thought they would be able to do some of this for us, but the night of the wedding they were very helpful to our day of coordinator, a friend who volunteered!
We loved the meal options they had and went with the Tequila lime chicken, roasted potatoes and
roasted veggies. We got to sample a lot of different dishes and my husband loved their scalloped potatoes, so they nicely gave him the scalloped potatoes on our wedding night and the guests got the roasted potatoes. This stands out in my mind, because it just shows how they were willing to go above and beyond! We brought in our own cake and desserts for a dessert table, but the venue didn't have serving tools for the cake or desserts and we had to bring in our own. I was a bit surprised by this.
The venue had a locker room (which was gorgeous and super spacious!) which they gave to my bridal party and I to get ready in. The only downside was the men did not get the locker room for themselves.
Overall, great venue and great staff.
If everyone could do their wedding here, I would say do it!! They’re super flexible with what you want, super helpful. They replied super fast and they were open to us seeing this ...
venue from one day to another. We didn’t need to see another venue, it was beautiful. They have amazing views from the moment you get there throughout the wedding it’s just beautiful all around. They have great food and a good selection.
This is truly a hidden gem of Orange County! Such a beautiful location showcasing the hills and open space of Orange County. One great feature of the venue is that it is a package ...
deal and makes it a lot easier when planning. Alyssa and Sarah were great to work with. They were very accommodating and always available leading up to the wedding day ensuring we got everything we wanted. For the day of the wedding, the banquet captain Derek was especially amazing! He made sure throughout the entire night that we were attended to and had enough to eat and drink! Our guests LOVED the venue: the view, delicious food, and the reception area which is great for a wedding anytime of the year! We are so happy that we chose Coto de Caza as our wedding venue!
Loved hosting our wedding at Coto. The entire venue was absolutely gorgeous! From the views, to the ambience, to the staff, everything was exactly what we had expected - perfection...
. And much of that we owe to Sarah our coordinator who is smart, professional, punctual (my favorite part) and yet so relaxed and calming. Nerves can really get the best of you in high energy situations but Sarah always kept her cool. The Service Captain Derek was also amazing. He was there through the ceremony to the very end making sure everything ran like clockwork. The food at the venue was delicious! The peppercorn filet and Sonoma chicken received delicious reviews from all our guests. The best part of Coto as a venue is that everyone on the staff is genuinely grateful for serving us on our wedding day. Everyone is helpful, asking if there is anything needed, and when there is, its provided instantly. All of the staff, even those not working the event, said hello and congratulations. Made the experience much more pleasurable.
I will FOREVER recommend Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club to every single newly engaged couple I come across! Sarah Placeres and Alyssa Stockler are legitimately the nicest women I...
have ever met, and the most professional and attentive! Our wedding was absolutely beautiful, ran incredibly smoothly, and every single staff member that was there for us for both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding was the best!! What! Oh my gosh, I am still on cloud 9 from it all. My husband and I are forever grateful to everyone at Coto, and we will always know we made the best choice in venue. Thank you so much for everything!!

ue and our guests are raving about it! Sarah and her team were amazing throughout the whole planning process and made it so easy for me- they responded quickly, were extremely professional and helped make the planning process less stressful. We are so thankful for everything they did. The food at was amazing too! Our guests were thrilled and so were we, especially when we got seated and had appetizers from cocktail hour waiting for us! The service and the gorgeous view were an absolutely perfect place for our wedding and we highly recommend it!!
Coto is a beautiful outdoor venue that is perfect for an outdoor wedding. The food was very good and the value received was well worth it. I highly recommend this venue.
