We were fortunate to be able to stay for 3 nights and 4 days and the bridal party woke each morning to a delicious breakfast, explored the historic home and grounds throughout the day and had other celebrations each evening including a Mumu Party on the back porch and the Oyster Roast Rehearsal Dinner on the back lawn. Amy Lane provided incredible wedding planning for us as well. Planning a wedding with all of the details is hard but not with Amy. Her organization, professionalism, high standards, creativity, connections to the most wonderful vendors, and her pure joy in making the wedding such a personal experience was more than we could have ever expected or asked for. We are thinking about booking the venue for other events in the future because we already want to be back! I am eternally grateful for Cotton Hall and Amy Lane. Dreams really do come true!

pt cut, the trees kept up with etc. The inside of the house on Cotton Hall is also kept very pristine. You can either rent the venue for the weekend or for the day. There are multiple different rooms inside the house at Cotton Hall you could stay in. When you book the venue the house and outside is all included. Amy Lane is the venue manager. She is the most perfect person to work with. I had so many issues with planning my wedding and she stepped up and helped me out a lot. She was very informative, quick to respond, great communicator etc. Overall, if you have the chance to book with Cotton Hall I would. Everything went as amazing as I had dreamed.

o life. Having a beautiful venue that our wedding party could stay at during our wedding weekend made everything that much better. We were able to have a pool party after our wedding with all of our friends so the party didn’t have to end! Amy/Cotton Hall also has connections with the best vendors which is so important and saves so much stress and time when picking every detail of the day. The property and house are so warm and welcoming, Cotton Hall just oozes with dignified southern charm. We looked at numerous venues but the private setting, wonderful staff and the option to stay on site all weekend quickly moved it to the top of our list. We had access to the entire house for wedding weekend which was absolutely perfect. It gave my daughter the perfect opportunity to spend time with her bridesmaids and family ahead of the wedding. Amy Lane is a such a dear and is the very best at what she does. Not only does she manage Cotton Hall but is a wonderful wedding planner as well. She is the perfect blend of grace and professionalism. Amy was on top of of every detail from day one and took care of our every want or need in the months of planning. She could not have been more accommodating and worked tirelessly to make a dream wedding become a reality. She was able to connect us with the wonderful vendors, each one was the perfect fit. Amy had patience and answers for every question we had and could not have been more attentive. What a blessing she was to work with! It's hard to find words to adequately express how much we love Cotton Hall and Amy Lane!

The inn itself is large with many well appointed rooms for you/your guests and areas for indoor activities at your event. There are also suites for the bride and groom to get ready in separate areas of the inn. Amy runs the inn/events/weddings and is your best friend for your perfect day. I can’t fully explain just how much she did for us, we are so grateful for her & the heart she has for what she does. Every detail that you wouldn’t think of, she will and she is prepared for anything. She goes out of her way to make your experience the best it can be while making it seem so easy. We were treated so warmly & kindly, she surprised us with champagne, some treats for after our wedding in our room, the Rolls Royce, a visit from Lin Wood, and she arranged property tours for us so we can see the several properties associated with Cotton Hall. The venue is beautiful by itself but with Amy it is that much better. Ronald spent a lot of time with us, showing us the details of the 3 properties and all of the work/love that goes into it between its owner and the few lucky people who get to be apart of it every day. We left our time with him and said to each other, wow that man has a heart of gold. We were sold on the property for its beauty, but the experience was exponentialized by the kindness & effort of the team here. In my search of a venue, I didn’t find many reviews on other venues which mentioned these qualities. We are very happy with our choice for our wedding and I hope my review helps you make your decision. 😊

e beauty of the grounds and the atmosphere. We had dinner under the avenue of oaks by candlelit dinner. And then our favorite part was the grand exit into the rolls royce. The pictures with the rolls royce were my favorite too! Highly recommend Cotton Hall.

rom the moment you enter the driveway, the beauty of the trees takes your breath away. That beauty continues to the house and throughout every room. It’s the perfect historic and southern venue. Amy, the in house wedding planner, I just can’t say enough wonderful things about her. From day 1, she handled every single detail beautifully (no matter how many times I changed my mind) and coordinated all of our vendors. Absolutely everything was thought of: checking on me throughout the day, making sure every piece of decor was perfect, bringing us drinks as soon as we reached the end of the aisle, cocktail hour food while we were taking pictures, keeping our wedding party together for entrances, fixing our plates, showing us how to cut the cake, making sure we were where we needed to be at the right times, and so many more things. Our wedding day was perfect and stress free. All of our guests commented on how perfect of a day and venue it was and how everything flowed so well. I can’t imagine a more beautiful venue or a better wedding planner.

My husband and I have already discussed the possibility of returning for our anniversary or even bringing our future children here. The thought of reliving those magical moments is irresistible. t is a pure site of beauty. We were in awe from the start to finish of our tour. The inside of Cotton Hall is just as beautiful! Aside from the beauty that doesn't need to be commented on - just look at the pictures - the venue itself / the staff were amazing to work with and be around. Amy Lane, the in house wedding planner at Cotton Hall was everything and more!!! She was there during the entire process from start to finish to answer every single question that arose. She did absolutely everything for us. Finding vendors / getting quotes / creating an ENTIRE day prior/day of timeline / everything else you can think of. She made our wedding so perfect and we didn't have to think of anything - she randomly gave us our 1st cocktail at the end of our ceremony - brought us snacks during our couples pictures - brought us dinner plates / cake - told us when to do everything that was on the timeline :) A few days before our (completely outdoor) wedding, we heard the weather was not on our side. Cotton Hall has plan B to have it inside if you are under 50 guests - I wanted to stay outside. Amy quickly contacted the rental vendor and we got a tent and clear umbrellas! In just a matter of a couple hours, she did all of that! Make sure, when you book Cotton Hall for you wedding - you hire Amy!!!!! We stayed at Cotton Hall prior / the night of - breakfast was provided daily and it was just so peaceful. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. We will be coming back to celebrate our 1 year anniversary <3

erty. From our first meeting with Amy Lane, we knew we were having our wedding there and we knew we wanted Amy as our planner. Amy put together the wedding of my and my husband's dreams (and my mom's, of course). Amy made my whole planning experience worry free - I knew if she suggested it, it would be perfect! She even saved the day with the storm during our rehearsal dinner. She was quick to respond and very attentive. It was clear that Amy knows the wedding business backwards and forwards - she had great suggestions for every vendor! We booked Cotton Hall for the full weekend which was a great decision! It felt like home away from home. The inn is so beautifully decorated. It has the perfect rooms for the groom/groomsmen to get ready, makeup/hair for the bridesmaids, and even a special room for the bride to get dressed in. I cannot recommend Cotton Hall enough!

Cotton Hall was only the second venue we toured, and although I'm not an impulsive person at ALL, my husband and I just had a feeling that this was the perfect place for our big day. We never doubted our choice and looking back, that decision was truly the best one we made during the entire planning process. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting to get married in, and we felt like we had stumbled upon a hidden gem (which also made us want to jump on the chance to book a date!). As soon as we drove through the gates for the first time, we were so taken with the live oaks draped in Spanish Moss leading up the drive, and it felt magical every single time we returned. Several of our guests traveled from New York, and we heard several comments throughout the weekend about the stunning venue and surroundings. Everyone that works at Cotton Hall under the guidance of Amy is truly outstanding, and the team worked seamlessly to make our wedding weekend an absolute dream. Amy's expertise, attention to detail, and dedication ensured that everything ran smoothly from the welcome dinner until it was time to check out. Her ability to bring our vision to life (when our vision was sort of a messy jumble of ideas) while adding her own creative touches made the entire planning process a breeze. We stayed at the venue throughout the weekend with our families (which was amazing and I would highly recommend), and the team went above and beyond to make us and our families feel welcomed and taken care of. The accommodations were excellent, the house is warm and welcoming. Its meticulously maintained and you can tell that they are always working to preserve the authenticity of the property. Amy was wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to make sure the wedding weekend was perfect. She knew I had a vision and pulled out all the stops to execute it (even dodged some heavy rainstorms for us). Her staff was very professional and willing to jump in to help at anytime. Planning a wedding and communicating your vision can be very stressful but Amy Lane’s warm and welcoming character kept us at ease through the entire process. Cotton Hall and their staff went above and beyond to accommodate not only our needs but that of our guests as well. We rented the bed and breakfast for the night to allow a night of fun and comfort following our reception for our family and closest friends traveling from out of town. There were no details missed and the breakfast they provided was above expectations as well! We have five children ages 6-16 years old and even they feel like they lived a fairy tale through the whole experience provided by Cotton Hall and Shelby Vido Weddings!

best part of the venue - the amazing wedding planner - Ms. Amy Lane. She is an absolute MUST, she's so attentive, accommodating, down to earth, all around great human that is a pro at her trade. She is so passionate about making sure your day goes as smooth as possible, all without you even knowing, she is a ninja planner! I almost don't want to leave such a great review because the quaintness of Cotton Hall is really what drew us in and was even better when we arrived. We coordinated the planning of our wedding from across the country and had no idea just how stunning the venue actually was. Cotton Hall is going to be the most sought out venue in Beaufort County, if not all of South Carolina, in a few short years. We are honored and proud to say we were married on such beautiful grounds.

We highly recommend it for anyone who wants to tie the knot surrounded by gorgeous Oak Trees and hosted by a wonderful staff! The wedding manager was very helpful and conducted the service for us. We especially appreciated her flexibility given our short notice during the holiday season. They also allowed our dogs to join which made the ceremony that much more complete. The owner of the property was such a gracious, generous, and excellent host! We can't say enough good things about him. Cotton Hall made for the perfect start to our new life and adventures together. Highly recommend!

n it seemed like was working out. As soon as I saw the pictures of the property and the BEAUTIFUL oaks with Spanish moss, I had to know more! They were just beginning to establish the property as a venue and gladly worked with us to book the venue for our October wedding! Being out of state, we began by working over the phone but they were quick to let us come see the venue whenever possible. Amy Lane, the onsite wedding planner was a dream to work with. She was so easy to communicate with and always responded in a timely manner. We had many phone calls with my mom over the course of the 6 months and she was our eyes and ears at the venue since we could only be there so often. With my husband being in medical school and me beginning graduate school, we were very busy, but Amy continued to work even when I couldn't make time! She had great ideas for vendors and ways to cut costs, which we were so thankful for. We truly felt like she was looking out for us. When the weekend finally came, as with most weddings, some things went array but Amy was quick to jump in and fix it, making it everything we could have imagined. The day itself went seamless and we were so impressed by the staff at Cotton Hall and how much was done behind the scenes. There were so many people working to make sure our day was perfect, and all so kind! We couldn't stop talking about how amazing the day was for the next week and we continue to get high praises from our guests. Go with Cotton Hall! not only is it beautiful bu the staff goes above and beyond to make your wedding day dreams come true.
