Phil was the perfect DJ for our wedding!! He was so easy to get in contact with and was able to answer every question I had!! Our wedding was half Puerto Rican, half New Orleans and he had the perfect playlist for us! Our guests kept telling us how much fun our wedding was! If you are looking for a DJ you can trust, pick him!!

We were lucky enough to have Phil with Countdown Sound & Uplighting Design be our DJ at our wedding. Everything was perfect!! Phil immediately responded to any questions we had throughout the entire process. He also offered us some great suggestions for music during the prelude that worked out beautifully. All the music we specifically requested was played exactly as we asked. He kept the energy up during the reception and everyone stayed on the dance floor the entire time. Phil made my wedding ceremony and reception everything I hoped for. Thank you, Phil!!!

Phil was our DJ for our wedding in New Orleans on 4/6/19. He was great!! He was very easy to communicate with before the wedding and made sure he had all the songs we wanted played. He mad our reception so fun and played great songs throughout the night! He interacted with the crowd and kept the party going! We highly recommend!

Phil was awesome! We had some special request from my side of the family and Phil handled it with no stress. He played every song I specially asked for and made sure I was on the dance floor when he played them. We also rented a lighting package from him and the lighting was done exactly how I envisioned it. We also rented microphones for the officiant and readers during the ceremony. Those were an addition later on in the planning process and he made it super easy to add things in. My bridal party even surprised me with a flash mob and they worked with him to get the cut of music over. Phil knew how to entice the crowd and feel the room as to which songs he would play next. He was highly professional and I recommend him to anyone looking for a great DJ!

We used Phil with Countdown Sound for our wedding/reception and wow. He is great and really knows how to work with the crowd and keep people moving and the party going. Perfect communication with the crowd. He was also kind enough to work in songs that my husband and I had requested and worked in plenty of other excellent music during the time that we had him for. My only slight regret is that he didn't play the correct song for my bridal march, but to be fair, the ceremony went early by 6 minutes due to rain and we hadn't had a rehearsal dinner to ensure that everyone had a chance for detail overview. Overall, no one knew the difference except myself, the groom, and probably Phil. It was still a fantastic night and the uplighting and details were lovely.

Phil with Countdown did an amazing job providing the music for our Royal Sonesta Hotel September wedding ceremony and reception as well as uplighting for our reception. I came across Countdown on a Hotel vendor recommendation list but it was his great communication, professionalism and competitive prices for the value received that clearly made him the easy decision for our event. He was extremely helpful, personable and a problem solver. It was evident that he really cared about making our wedding a memorable event. Our guests spanned many age groups and he kept the dance floor full all night which had been an initial concern of mine. I can without reservation recommend Countdown for your event and am extremely pleased with his services. We plan to use Countdown for any DJ needs in the future.

Fill with the countdown did an amazing job at our wedding. The music and announcements were perfectly timed, he included all of our guest, everyone danced and had an amazing time. His service started with us months ago as he gave us advice and tips that made are night perfect. If we ever have a need for a DJ he will absolutely be the one we called.

We hired Phil with Countdown Sound to do our wedding and I am glad we did. He came highly recommended and I can see why. With his help, we had a fantastic ceremony and rocking wedding! If we ever need ever need a DJ in the future, I know who I am reaching out to. He was so helpful with everything. It was a week before the wedding and I had not finalized music. Instead of being stressed out with me, he was gracious. He walked me through suggestions and we totally used them. Also, who thinks about uplighting? I know I had never before planning this wedding. It is something Phil provides that I did not even know I needed. Uplighting totally sets the mood/environment for an event. Again, I cannot say enough positive things. If you are on the fence about Phil, do not be. You will not be disappointed.

He just DJ’d our wedding last Saturday and the party went all night! Everyone was dancing and the lavender uplighting was beautiful! Couldn’t ask for a better DJ - they really set the tone of the wedding! Thank you Phil!

Where do I start? The DJ is literally everything I could have asked for. Not only was he on budget and extremely affordable for the 5 hours I hired him, he was clearly motivated to give me exactly what I asked for. I got married to a Colombian and that type of music isn’t typically requested in NOLA, but Phil was inquisitive and asked for YouTube examples of any songs he wasn’t sure he had. My reception was amazing because of Phil and I am so happy I had him as part of my wedding day.

I used Phil for my wedding this past weekend and he was the best DJ in Louisiana! I had a last minute request for him to bring a projector to our rehearsal dinner and Phil was very accommodating. Phil is AMAZING!! He knows how to choose the right music to get people on the dance floor and stay dancing. I didn't worry one bit about the guest not loving him because with meeting before with him you can totally trust him and his professional expertise! Not only is he good with the music but talk about the lighting! He did a wonderful job making the venue even more beautiful with uplighting and I was so happy I spent extra to get the starry lights because it was amazing to look up at them while dancing. Phil was awesome! He paid attention to my music set list and kept the crowd going right up until the end! He also had an elaborate indoor/outdoor set up that we accommodated with no issue.

I was very pleased with countdown sound. Phil created a perfect environment for both the ceremony and reception! All the songs from his selection were winners, the only duds were the ones I had specially requested thinking that my husband and I, or whoever I thought the song would mean something to, would be around to dance at that exact moment and it didn’t quite work out that way. My recommendation to future brides is to minimize requests because Phil knows what he’s doing and it’s probably best to just let him do his thing . He seems very organized and he sent music recommendation lists that helped us pick out music for the ceremony. After the wedding, he sent me some pictures that he took during the ceremony. Nice touch.

Phil was absolutely AMAZING at our reception! We really made the right choice when we picked him! Everyone we have spoken to since the reception keeps telling us how awesome our DJ was. And the uplighting he provided in our package was flawless, not to mention the pricing on the uplights was the best we came across! I used countdown sound + lighting for my reception. They were easy to work with and played my requests as I asked. Their setup was minimal but provided ample sound - almost too much at times but they turned it down upon request without a problem. Friendly service and good value. Would recommend.

Countdown Sound did a lovely job on our wedding. They were able to provide music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception (even though they were all in different rooms), as well as uplighting for a large ballroom. Everything looked and sounded great. The staff had an excellent read on the crowd and played a fantastic selection of music to get everybody on the dance floor all night! During the reception, the DJ kept track of the schedule perfectly and alerted me if anything needed to be bumped up or pushed back due to any unforeseen issues. I highly recommend Countdown Sound. My husband and I met the owner of Countdown Sound, Philip, at a bridal show and we were instantly sold. We booked Countdown sound for our wedding on 4/13/13. I made sure when I booked that I requested Mr. Philip as my DJ(I believe they have a couple of different DJS with the company so if you want the owner you have to book and request him early). My brother had also used Countdown Sound for his wedding a year earlier so I was familiar with the company. Mr. Philip has every song you could ever think of and if he doesn’t have it he will find it for you. He makes sure to work around your schedule and he will come to you for meetings. My husband and I booked the 3hr. music package, with the picture slideshow, and some up-lighting. On the wedding day Mr. Philip was right on time and he had everything set up. I was able to choose where I wanted the up-lights and what colors I wanted. I gave Mr. Philip a list of all the songs I wanted played, when, and at what “time intervals”. He played every single song I had on that list and did it exactly as I asked. He was one of the few vendors I did not have to worry about. I still remember seeing him running up the hill to turn on our end of ceremony music because the ceremony was unexpectedly very short. That really impressed me! Countdown sound went above and beyond my expectations! I have been to many weddings and parties where people have paid thousands of dollars for DJS who just don’t care about their clients. Countdown Sound is the best DJ company in Louisiana and I will definitely be using them again the future.

Phil at countdown sound was great! We sent him our list of songs we couldn't live without and he did great coordinating some slower songs at the beginning of the night for the older generation to dance to and then really pumping it up at the end. We had a few songs that the bridal party ran in to and he even introduced everyone by name as requested! We also decided to have a first and last dance since we both had a so g we wanted to dance to which turned out great and memorable! He also provided a mic for our officiant and for a reading! We had so many people compliment us on him! He also did out up lighting included in the package and I believe he gives military discounts!

The owner is very nice, and the DJ we had at our wedding was wonderful! So energetic and listened to all of our requests/needs.

Very nice and easy to work with. Only problem was that the sound system was not loud enough and many people did not hear the announcements.

Countdown sound came packaged with the Fleur De Lis Event Center. I was not able to speak with our DJ until about a week before the event but he was able to get all the music I asked for and was very professional. He played great music at the wedding.
