I will start with the positive things about this store - a handful of their staff are very friendly and helpful, the store is clean, and the prices are comfortable. Other than this, I would not recommend this bridal shop.
My first experience at this store was in July 2023 (my wedding is June 2024), I found my wedding gown and fell in love. I worked with Andre, who during the entire experience of trying on gowns, was busy doing other things in the store during my appointment and was not very attentive. He did not help fluff the dresses that I tried on so we could see what they looked like. When I picked my dress, we asked to try on veils. He got us a few to try on, but was unenthusiastic about the enitre experience. He also told me that I needed to buy the veil with the dress so they would all come at the same time. Reluctantly (and having no other experience with this), I purchased the $450 veil and immediately regretted it. When I "said yes to the dress", he simply said "ok I'll meet you at the front to pay". The experience was not-at-all what I had thought it would be, but I loved the dress so it didn't matter. My mom called back to complain, and thankfully Teresa (who is wonderful to work with) apologized profusely and cancelled the order for the veil.
I went back a few months later to try on the dress when it arrived and was told to call in February to schedule alterations. When I did, they said I didn't need to come in until April and I should call back. When I called back in March to schedule an April fitting, they asked me "why I waited so long to schedule a fitting". When I finally did go in for the fitting, the seamstress was running about 30 minutes late - no problem I understand. However, when it was my turn to meet with the seamstress, the staff were frequently "checking on us", trying to rush my appointment along. Thankfully, the seamstress Rosemarie was fantastic to work with and was not worried that they were trying to rush her - she took her time with us anyway. She did a fabulous job, and the alterations were perfect (she does not work for Country Bride, she is contracted by them).
Two days prior to my wedding, my sister went to pick up my gown. They promised it would be steamed, pressed, and ready to go for wedding day. When she picked it up, she worked with Andre again. My dress was given to her in a PLASTIC hanging bag. When she got home to double check that it was the right dress, it was crumpled up in the bag (picture attached is how it was given to us!). At that point, we didn't have time to take it back to be fixed, because they told us we could not pick it up any earlier than 2 days prior to the wedding, and we needed to travel for the event.
I loved the dress that I bought, so that is what matters. But otherwise, I would avoid this shop. The experience was unpleasant, and majority of the staff are unprofessional (but a shout out to the few that did their best to make up for the rest).
If you aren't sure where to go for a dress start here! The staff is all supportive and knowledgeable. I told my mom I wanted to dress shop here since I looked for my prom dresses here. One the time came this was the first and only place I made an appointment! The experience was incredible from the moment I walked in, through the alterations process to when I picked up my dress!
Poor Customer Service
Great experience & perfect dress! I had my bridal consultant with Gina, and it was honestly great. We had been to 3 other shops before this one and had less then desirable results. The were professional and very informative with a wide selection.
My dress arrived right when expected and the seamstress did a great job on the alternations. She even took my mom's veil and cut it from 20ft to a fingertip water fall length without losing a single detail. Definitely recommend!
We had a HORRIBLE experience with this dress shop. My mom purchased her dress for my wedding here. Every salesperson told us something different. The first time we went, they told my mom there was no way they could order a dress on time (several months ahead) and that she would have to buy a sample. When we went back, the other salesperson told us they could probably order one and the other person should have checked. When we found a dress, they said it would take over a month to come in, so we had to order it that day in the store. It ended up coming in 2 weeks. The dress my mom found and loved is very detailed. They assured us that they would be able to alter it well and even went as far as to show us how they would handle the detail work. The dress has fabric petals all starting at the middle and increasing as they go towards the bottom of the dress. They insisted that anything removed would be placed back in the pattern just as it was removed and said they has a seamstress who specialized in that kind of work. We trusted that the people we were ordering an $800 dress from would know how to alter it. They measured my mom and pressured her to order the larger size when she was apparently between two sizes. When the dress arrived, it was at least 2 sizes too big. This led to much more extensive alterations than originally planned, which of course costs a lot of money. When she went back to try on the dress, the bottom (most detailed and unique part of the dress) was completely f***d up. It was truly horrible. The seamstress did no detail work. She cut off the bottom, rolled it under, and hemmed it like it was a pair of school uniform pants. The dress was ruined and didn't even look close to the same as the sample. The mistakes were obvious and I am not sure how the seamstress would ever think that was acceptable to give to a paying client. They insisted they would fix it for us and at this point it was too late to go anywhere else. They managed to make it look better, but the results are nowhere near acceptable for work on a designer dress. They had the nerve to ask us for additional money because of the fixes they made to the dress that THEY SCREWED UP. They also gave us a different shawl than the one that we were originally told came with the dress and tried to claim it never came with one. I guess they forgot the internet exists and we could easily look up the designer and see what it was supposed to come with, and proceeded to act shocked when we showed them despite the fact that my mom originally tried it on in the store. They mysteriously lost the shawl she tried on with the sample dress. They were also supposed to adjust the top to lay flat on her chest (the dress has boning that has to be properly altered). When she picked it up and asked why that was not also fixed, they said she should get double sided tape. Do they remember this is an $800 dress??? It's not $200 from Azazie. Professional alterations should make tape unnecessary. I showed the pictures of the original, messed up alterations to friends and other seamstresses (including the amazing one who did my wedding gown) who were horrified. DO NOT trust this shop. They were also not accommodating and never admitted that they were the ones who messed up. They refused to give us any money back for their mistakes. If you buy a dress here, get alterations elsewhere. I am so beyond grateful I got my wedding dress from a different bridal salon.
the experience was perfect and I found my dream dress.
Laurie and the rest of the team at Country Bride and Gent were extremely helpful in helping me to find and choose my wedding gown, go through the alteration process and really added to my overall bride experience. I have met several other women who have gotten their dresses there and loved their experience also. I would highly recommend CB&G for their selection of wedding dresses and bridesmaid/evening gowns.
The BEST bridal shop ever!! Their customer service is outstanding (Emily and Gene were my go-to's and solved every little problem that came up for me in the best way possible); even when I had an emergency on my wedding day, the shop, somehow, hand delivered an item to the venue just in time despite being 2 hours away!!! Their prices are reasonable, and they offer a Full Bridal Package to help with the couples' pricing! The winning factor that I love most is that they really are a one stop shop! I dressed my entire wedding party here (parents, grandparents, AND officiant included), and it made the entire process such a breeze. The color I chose for my bridesmaids is very specific and tricky. So, when it came to picking out tuxes and bowties, Gene was able to grab a sample dress so we could compare what tux and tie looked best with the dress color! I also had a guy on my side with my girls, and it was super important to me that, not only was he standing on my side, but that he looked distinguishable from the groomsmen. By some miracle, Gene found a PERFECT tux match to the bridesmaids' dress color, and he blended in beautifully!! Finding a wedding dress was the hardest thing ever, and it was something I was extremely anxious about. I went to so many shops, but I kept coming back here. Emily made sure to make the process for me as fun as possible, and she really made sure to find exactly what I was envisioning. And let's not forget the miracle worker that is their seamstress, Teresa!!! She is absolutely incredible and truly a magician. She made me feel so comfortable and confident in my wedding dress, and really took all of my concerns into consideration. She even went as far as to make a little skirt for my wheelchair with the remainder of my dress to utilize all of the unused fabric. That was the most meaningful thing and I will forever cherish it (and her). Everyone at Country Bride And Gent made us all feel so welcome, included, and like family. I genuinely cannot recommend them enough!!
They were very excited to help me and my mother find our dresses, professional, and had a wide selection. They offered great guidance on what type of bustle would work best for my dress, and altered and pressed it in great time. All around fantastic experience
Got my dress here, and my husband and his Best Man rented their suits here. I loved my dress and both the men looked fantastic. The service was great, especially Ed on the Gent side!!
Wonderful experience with CB & G! I found my dress in September with Flossy and she was incredibly sweet. I said yes to the first dress and had shared the moment with my mom, sister, and mother-in-law. A few months later, my dress came in and Sophia fulfilled my dream with all of thr alterations. It was everything I hoped it would be. Cannot believe our wedding has come and gone! I already miss wearing my gown. As well, my mother's MOB dress was from here and both Flossy and Sophie knock it out of the park! Cheers to you ladies!!!
I’ve never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day, and a lot of that is because of my dress! The women at the salon are so lovely. Flossy initially helped me find my dress and she was so sweet and awesome! I had some minor bumps along the way and Christine made sure that I was happy and comfortable and helped me make me feel my best. I couldn’t have been happier with my dress.
Country Bride and Gent was my favorite wedding dress shopping experience. Beautiful store with many options. My consultant was wonderful- patient, understanding, honest, and stuck firmly to my budget of under $1200. I did not ultimately find my dress here, though I found two that I strongly considered, and I was planning to come back again if I had not found my dress at the last store I went to. I highly recommend checking out Country Bride and Gent.
Absolutely loved Country Bride and Gent! Shawn was such a wonderful consultant and so helpful. I was really nervous since it was my first time trying on dresses but she really helped me have fun and enjoy the process. The dresses are great and everyone is so friendly. Highly recommend!
My mom and I had a wonderful experience at the Country Bride and Gent. Our consultant was receptive to everything we wanted- she was informative and encouraging without being overbearing. When I found the perfect dress, she made the experience so special for me. I drove 2 hours to come to this shop because they carried many of the dresses I was interested in and I’m so glad I did!
I had an awesome experience at CB&G and they helped me find the perfect dress! My bridal consultant Lori could not have been sweeter and she was SO helpful! After a bad experience earlier in the day at another store in the area where they lied about a dress and tried to overcharge us by over $1000, I was feeling pretty defeated by dress shopping. Lori immediately cheered me up and was determined to help me find my dress. She was so accommodating and helped me identify exactly what I wanted and pulled such great options for me to try. I felt absolutely no pressure whatsoever during the entire process either. CB&G has a HUGE selection of dresses and they were all beautiful and so much more affordable than other places at the same quality! I would absolutely recommend coming here and I’m so grateful they helped me find my dress!
I had a wonderful experience with CB&G with finding the absolute perfect wedding dress for my big day. It was stunning and I wish I could wear it again and again. Sophia was my seamstress and she made the dress fit me perfectly.
I did not have the same experience with the bridesmaids dresses. Unfortunately, we had some problems with 2 of my 4 girls dresses. It all ended up working out because my bridesmaids were very flexible and easy going about everything but I was not as happy with how CB&G handled the problems we encountered. They took zero responsibility for what happened and that is why I am giving them 3 stars.
I recommend them for a great selection of wedding dresses but would suggest looking elsewhere for bridesmaids dresses.
Loved my experience at Country Bride. Due to COVID, I had a short (in bridal gown terms) window to find a dress. Even though Shaun told me I had plenty of time to order a brand new dress, they let me buy right off the rack, easing my stresses immensely! They weren't very high pressure and the store was so bright and clean. I had a great experience here!
Can't say enough great things about Country Bride & Gent! The women there are very friendly and helpful - Flossy helped me the first time I went, and was very patient as I tried on at least 10 dresses. They also did not pressure us to buy anything at any point in the appointment (something I've noticed happens at other salons). I had 3 dresses that I couldn't choose between, and they were more than happy to write them down and have me come back to decide at a later date. Their dress prices are reasonable as well, and they give you a discount for bridesmaid dresses and tuxes if you buy a dress from them. The only issue I had was that their seamstresses are only available during the week (and I live about an hour away), so having my alterations there was inconvenient and a little pricey (though they did an AMAZING job with the hem and bustle). Highly recommend to any bride!
Country Bride is phenomenal. The staff literally feels like family to my mother and I. I got my wedding dress there, my bridesmaids, and my mother as well. The bridesmaids dresses were stunning! We went with Sorella Vita for the designer; they were gorgeous. I let my girls choose whatever style they wanted and there were so many options for them to choose from. Some of the girls were out of the state and Country Bride was able to accommodate them. They also had us order their dresses all together so the color was exactly the same (great tip)! My mother also got her dress here; she was absolutely stunning. My Allure gown was my DREAM wedding dress. This was the only bridal shop I went to and I only tried on about 8 different gowns. When we saw this one in the window, we knew it would be the one. I put it on and didn't want to take it off; smiling from ear to ear. The dresses at this shop are so unique. The consultants made me feel like the most beautiful bride ever. We used them for our alterations and Denise was phenomenal. When I went for my first fitting all of the consultants were gathered around me saying how stunning I was in my gown; they really made me feel so special. Denise hemmed the dress and when she was finished it didn't even look like she had done a thing to it! The bustling process was easy and she explained it to my MOH at length. She even put a little something blue on the underside of my dress to find the first bustle.
We ran into a little complication with the dress after the wedding and Country Bride was AMAZING at accommodating us. Christine was such a big support throughout the entire process. She and the rest of the consultants (special thanks to Shawn) really made us feel at home.
Would 100% recommend and use them again.
Country Bride and Gent helped me find the perfect dress for my wedding day! Seriously, all the Country Bride associates really know their stuff. After I picked out my dress, it was super easy to schedule fittings and alterations with their talented seamstress, Denise. She was amazing! I even got my jewelry and veil there too, which really completed my look. They make you feel like the only Bride in the world!! Check them out, the new location is BEAUTIFUL!!
I can't believe I found my wedding dress and bridal party attire (groomsmen tuxes and bridesmaid dresses) just down the street from my house. Should have gone to Country Bride first and saved myself some time, because Country Bride has such a great selection of wedding dresses and wedding party attire. The staff was great to work with , they have really accommodating hours and are happy to work with your schedule, which was especially helpful since I got my alterations done here as well and needed after work hours. My seamstress, Diane, was really knowledgeable, experienced and willing to help me adjust anything necessarily to help me feel comfortable and polished. She even added extra lace for me at neckline of the dress.
I knew from looking at photos there was a certain style dress I was liking and the staff at Country Bride really knew their inventory and were able to direct me in picking out which dresses met my style. I ended up loving Stella York and definitely recommend that you start your shopping journey at Country Bride!
Country bride and gent were perfect for our wedding day! We found my dress there and then used them for all their services - bridesmaids, groomsmens, dads, etc.. They offered discounts for us using multiple services. Everything was ordered with plenty of time to spare and everything was perfect for that day. We loved having everything all in one location and the people are so friendly! Highly recommend country bride and gent!
I found the perfect dress at Country Bride for a great price! As an out of town bride, they were flexible and helpful in scheduling my appointments and fittings.
I purchased my veil for my wedding on 5.25.19 from the Country Bride. My mother also purchased her mother of the bride gown from Country Bride. All of the ladies that work there are fabulous and we had the pleasure of working with Shawn. For my veil, I knew I wanted something sparkly and cathedral length and nothing exorbitantly expensive. Shawn knew just the veil. I showed her a picture of my dress and she expertly matched a veil almost immediately. We were allowed to take a photo of the veil prior to purchasing and she even helped me decide what kind of hair piece would match. Shawn was not pushy at all when I told her I needed a few days to think about it and my mom to come back with me. I was beyond happy with my gorgeous veil on my wedding day and wish I could wear it again! The veil was ordered and came in with plenty of time to spare and I was allowed to take the veil and bring it back just so I could try it on with my dress which was elsewhere. My mother's dress buying experience was also extremely pleasant, professional, fun, and easy. We had the pleasure of working with Shawn again. She made sure to ask for a picture of my dress, the bridesmaids' dresses, and the color palette of the wedding so she would only pull dresses that matched. Shawn was extremely patient with my mother while she explained what she didn't want and tirelessly and pleasantly offered my mom dress after dress. When it seemed like we had gone through all of the dresses in the store, Shawn went and grabbed a new arrival that wasn't on the floor yet to show my mom. I knew Shawn had knocked it out of the park when my mom was telling me how gorgeous the dress was before she even came out of the dressing room. It was a color palette we would have never thought of but it went perfectly with the wedding colors. It complemented my bridal gown and went with my springtime garden feel. All in all it was an instant hit. The dress was altered perfectly and fit my mom like a dream the day of. I would highly recommend visiting Country Bride for all wedding attire needs!
They made finding my wedding dress a breeze. They also did a good job turning my basic alterations around in a timely matter.
Country Bride was the 2nd place I went to in search of a dress. After the 1st try was unsuccessful, I was a little worried about whether I'd find what I was looking for. Country Bride had a good selection and although it seemed rather overwhelming when I first arrived, I found the exact dress I was imagining. Krystyna was very helpful in helping me find "the one". The entire process from picking the dress through alterations was relatively easy and clear. I'm glad to have worked with them in finding my dress.
Country Bride & Gent was the first and only Bridal salon I had to visit to get my perfect gown. The staff was unbelievably wonderful. My consultant listened to what I thought I wanted, she respected my budget and started putting me into dresses. After each dress she listened to my likes and dislikes and we continued. By the end we found the absolute perfect dress. I had so many compliments on my wedding day. I felt comfortable, I never felt pressured into buying something or rushing into any decisions. The service went beyond that, the seamstress was wonderful to work with as well as the staff as I booked appointments and picked up my dress.
Stop into Country Bride & Gent, I wasn't convinced I would be a "country" bride, but they have such a wide selection and kind, considerate staff to work with that it is truly a great experience to shop. Hope you find your dress there too!
This bridal salon was great to work with. I got my dress at a phenomenal price and my consultant was Kristina (I think I spelled that right) and she was phenomenal to work with. I felt like she cared about my opinions and listened to what I wanted. Not forceful at all.
My only con to Country Bride was the price of alterations being sky high. I reasoned to myself it was okay considering my dress was so affordable.
We had such a great experience at Country Bride. They were so helpful and accommodating, and so many dresses to choose from! I ended up not only getting my dress from them but also the bridesmaid dresses and the suits. Thanks again!
CB&G was amazing! I got my entire wedding party their tuxes and dresses here including my mom! My wedding dress and fittings were also all from here. The staff is kind and friendly. They really listened to me and my girls and made the processes go so smoothly! My mom had a hard time feeling comfortable anywhere but sure enough here she found her dress and felt wonderful. The guys all had great experiences as well. Would recommend a million times over!
I would absolutely recommend this place to ANY BRIDE! They have such a wide selection of dresses for brides, bridesmaids and MOB! I got my dress there and had such an amazing experience that I HAD to go back to get my bridesmaids there! When you go ask for alyssa she is the BEST, the owners couldn’t be sweeter as well! They also have tuxes, so it’s a one stop shop. I would give this place 10 stars if I could!
A found such an amazing dress at country bride and gent at such a great price! I felt amazing in it and my husband rented his and the groomsmen tuxes here as well and they looked great. The staff were both very helpful on both ends.
We got my dress, the bridesmaids dresses, and the groomsmen suits here and it was a very pleasant experience. They answered every question (even if it wasn't clothing related, just wedding questions in general!) The wedding process was stressful, but they truly helped make it as easy as possible!
Thank you Country Bride and Gent for making my bridal experience so special! Everyone there was so nice. Alyssa provides outstanding and professional service. She was a joy to work with for both my dress and bridesmaids. The groom and the groomsmen also had a wonderful experience too! Loved my dress <3
Cb&g was fantastic. This was our first bridal gown store we looked at, and the day couldn’t have gone better. Alyssa was AMAZING. I told her what I had in my mind, she brought me out exactly what my image was, but better! She didn’t pressure me one bit, even knowing this was the first time I ever tried on a gown. I had a large group with me, everyone picked a dress, I had tried so many dresses on & still went with the first one I put on. Overall great experience, and I said yes to my dress!
CB&G was awesome! I thought I had found my dress until I walked in and Alyssa was truly fantastic. She used her experience and pulled a variety of styles, not just what I had on my pinterest page and my dress was nothing like what I had imagined... and it was perfect! Their customer service and quality of seamstress was right on and my dress was absolutely stunning and the talk of the night!
My in-store experience was great. The woman who helped me made sure I was confident with my decision. My only complaint was the size of my dress. They measured me and ordered me a size 12 even though the size 8 I tried on in the store fit me well. When I got my dress it was huge (as expected). I took it to a trusted seamstress who worked magic, but it basically required her taking the dress apart. She had to take 4 inches out of the bust and I'm not flat chested!
If you decide to go there, stand up for your size. Don't just trust them because unfortunately they are trying to squeeze every dime out of you.
I read the other reviews on here and it seems like people just get upset for little things and then write about them. I had a very different experience. I am the groom and got fitted and picked out a tux for me and my groomsmen. I have to say that my experience here was one of the best "service" experiences I have ever had. Ed is the definition of a professional tailor. I truly felt like a million bucks. He made this experience a memorable one. Ed cared about the big items and down to the tiniest details. He addressed all of the concerns for me and my spouse (We are getting remarried - Renewing our Vows getting married in the Church) . I am on the heavier size so I had to get a custom shirt made and a larger size of the Michael Kors Dark Grey Tux which was awesome and GQ smooth!! He made sure everything fit perfect to where I was comfortable. He did not rush me, in fact I spent several hours there both times to ensure I was satisfied. I really appreciated his humbleness and his true knowledge of the industry. His experience is second to none. What Ed did for us, I do not think I could thank him enough with words. I thought to myself and explained to my wife, I'm only renting these and not spending much at all, and look at all of the attention he has given us. It blew me away. So if you are getting married, going to prom, or even needing a tuxedo for a special occasion, It is worth it to go and see Ed even if you are within 100 miles from the shop - its worth it. And if you do, you will find a way to comment on my review to thank me for referring you to Ed. It was that awesome!!! So if you want to be treated like a king and not have to spend a lot of money, go and see Ed at The Country Bride and Gent!
I knew exactly what I wanted and found it at Country Bride right away! And their service is the best!
I got my dress here and had my alterations done here. My bridesmaids and the groomsmen also got their attire from here. Everyone at this place was so nice and helpful throughout the whole process. Very friendly and great customer service. The seamstress did an amazing job with all my alterations!
If I could give Country Bride zero stars I would...This was my fifth store trying on dresses, and all other stores would have received 5 stars from me. I had chosen to go here because they carried a designer I really wanted to try on. This trip didn't go downhill until I started trying on the dresses. The consultant, Krystyna, was awful and rude. She treated me like a rag doll in the shop, pulling the dresses, squeezing the material as tight as she could, and practically ripping the dresses off of me when I was changing out of them. At one point, when I was standing in front of the mirrors in the middle of the store, she pulled the dress down so hard to get the wrinkles out that it almost left me wearing nothing, as people walked by. As I tried to talk to my mom (who was the only person I brought with me to the store) Krystyna interrupted every conversation about the dresses. I felt as though I coundn't talk to my mom without her butting in. Unfortunately, it did not end there, at one point my mom noticed the slip was bunched up in one of the dresses I tried on, so she bent down to fix it. Krystyna could not handle this and proceeded to flip the layers up of the dress as fast as she possible could to get to the slip before my mom did. Krystyna put her hand up the side of my dress to get the slip so fast, that she wound up with her hand up my underwear on my backside. I didn't know how to respond, except for saying I'm ready to take the dress off and leave. Besides having a horrible experience, it was extremely upsetting that I actually found the dress I wanted to buy. I ended up calling another store over the phone and ordering the same exact dress because I could not give Country Bride my business.
I had a great experience looking for, and eventually buying my wedding dress and veil here! Alyssa was my salesperson and she did an excellent job finding me dresses that adhered to my style and budget. She was very knowledgeable about the wedding dress industry and different fits that would best flatter my body type. After trying on a couple dresses, I finally decided on a Justin Alexander ball-gown. When the dress came in, the size was perfect; all I needed was a hem and the bustle. The seamstress I worked with was so sweet and gave me pointers for how to put on my dress and gave my mom and sister a tutorial on the bustle.
I just recently dropped my dress off to be cleaned and preserved, and can’t wait to get it back!
Country Bride was excellent. It was the first and only place we went to find a dress. The woman who helped me try on gowns, Krystyna, was amazing. She was so sweet and helpful and made me feel comfortable. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She wasn't pushy on anything and only wanted me to find the dress that I wanted and loved. My dress came in sooner than expected and I was able to come in, try it on, and get an idea on what needed to be altered and an estimate. We were not pressured to have my gown altered there. I would recommend this shop to anyone
I was not at all impressed with Country Bride. Being a plus size bride, any time I made an appointment with a store I always inquired regarding the stores availability of sample sizes that would fit me. When I made the appointment I was told it was not problem and they had samples in my size. When I arrived, I found out this was not really the case. The only sample they had that I could actually fully get on was for a clearance dress. Everything else I had to sort of squeeze into and none of them looked flattering on me because of that. The consultant was also sort of rude about the whole thing. I would not recommend them.
I have to say I have been to several bridal stores looking for the perfect dress and this was the best by far! My experience was AMAZING!!! Have single person in the store was of great help! It was a toss up between two dress and I was never felt rushed even after trying on at least 15! I could be happier with the awesome group of people who worked there! Thank you so much for your help and patience!
I was disappointed with my experience at Country Bride. They do have a very large dress selection to choose from. When I arrived for our appointment with four of my bridesmaids, the store was small and overcrowded. Despite having an appointment, we were left on our own to sort through so many dresses without much help because the consultants were busy helping others. More than one of my girls were made to feel pretty uncomfortable while being fitted when the consultant measuring them made comments about their size. Two of the girls were measured incorrectly. One of the girls got fitted at another store for completely different measurements. The dresses did arrive in a timely fashion and they looked beautiful on the wedding day.
I went to Country Bride and Gent looking for bridesmaid dresses, but not knowing exactly what I wanted. Alyssa and Trish were outstanding! Alyssa was so patient, helpful and fun with my bridal party, I would recommend her to anyone. She also helped me put together an amazing mis-matched bridesmaid look. She has great advice without being pushy and clicked with my friends immediately. We'll be renting the groomsmen tux's from here as well.
I found my perfect wedding dress here, which I couldn't be more grateful and the seamstress did an amazing job. She made sure my dress fit perfectly for our big day! She was wonderful! We also appreciated their Bridal Package. It was a great deal. We had a little trouble with our tuxes which was upsetting when we only rented five tuxes, however, they were able to fix them quickly before our wedding.
We ordered our tuxes and bridesmaids dress from Country Bride and Gent for our October 2016 wedding. They were very easy to work with and had a large selection.
We were very impressed with their tux selection and the price of rentals. We had gone to one store previously and for the SAME EXACT HIGH QUALITY DESIGNER LABEL tux were able to get it for nearly $100 less. Do yourself a favor and at least go look at Country Bride for tuxes. You wont' regret it. Gene is the guy to ask for when you are tux shopping!
The bridesmaids dresses were also great and the girls got so many compliments on the day of the wedding!
Shawn was great in helping me find a dress and she remained a good go to person for information as I worked my way through the alterations process. Some of the other women could be quite rude and unhelpful. As for the alterations, they were reasonably priced, but I did not see my dress completely done until the Monday before the wedding. Luckily it did look good, but the bustle was changed, which proved an issue with the girls putting it up the evening of the wedding. Also, I do not think there was enough care taken on the hem, there were some jagged edges to it. I thought it would be taken care of, but now I realize I should have spoken up, as it was not something that was going to be addressed without my pointing it out.
We went with country bride and gent for my dress, bridesmaids dresses, mother of the groom, and tuxes. It was very convenient having all on site! A few of the bridesmaids and groomsmen did have issues with fit but overall I would recommend this location. I would probably go elsewhere for alterations but they have a great selection and great prices!
Loved every bit of my experience!!!!
I can not say enough good things about this place, every single person I ever had contact with at the store was really nice, respectful and helpful. Cristina was my sales person and she was just awesome helping me find the perfect dress for me. I would definitely recommend them to any bride.
We had a fantastic experience at Country Bride & Gent. Ed was a great help, and very accommodating to every need we had. Their pricing is excellent, and the quality of their suits is on par with anyone else in the area. Ed is very knowledgeable, he makes sure everything fits perfectly. CB&J truly goes out of their way to make sure customers leave satisfied. A+! We cannot recommend highly enough!!
Seriously, the best. From the staff to the wedding dress and bridesmaid dress selection, to the guys' tuxedos, everything was perfect. Barbara helped us through the entire journey and I can't thank her enough!
A Magical Bridal Experience
Thank You for an unforgettable Wedding Experience!
From the moment we walked into the Country Bride and Gent we were greeted with cheerful and professional staff. The bridal consultants: Christine, Flori, Flossie and all the consultants we encountered made us feel that nothing was more important than helping us select the perfect gown to make my daughters wedding day so special.
Trish, the owner, my daughters bridal consultant was amazing. She was professional, patient, cheerful, flexible and fun. Nothing was too much to ask for. She went above and beyond for every detail. Her exquisite selection of designer gowns were hard to choose from, one was more stunning than the other. My daughter was there on multiple occasions trying on dresses and Trish never loss patience with her. She found the dress of her dreams, accessories and a spectacular Two-tier Cathedral bridal veil edged in swarovski crystals that sparkled on the alter during the nuptial mass. It was breathtaking.
The Country Bride and Gent is a full service salon. Our seven bridesmaids could not have been happier. Most of the girls lived out of state. Trish, provided a great experience-quality service, flexibility, great selection and low cost for each of the attendants.
The entire groomsmen party met with the owner, Ed. The groom, seven groomsmen, father of the bride, father of the groom, ring bearer and various tux rentals for the guests was an outstanding experience from beginning to end. Ed, is extremely particular with every detail attended to.
The mother of the brides dress was spectacular, Trish found it on the run way in New York for Mother’s of the Bride. It was from the Montage by Mon Cheri-The Ivonne D Collection. It was stunning.
With Sincere Appreciation and Gratitude,
Charlene

I found the most beautiful wedding dress at this venue. I was over the moon and in love with my dress that was gorgeous and affordable. Then everything went to hell. My dress practically fit it just needed a few things - yet the price was over $500 dollars! And then kept going up! By the end it was close to $700 in alterations! The alterations were also terribly done. The worst was that they tried to send me home with a less than perfect dress! Two days before my wedding and my dress was a mess. In the end after tears and begging they fixed it. Stay away!
My husband also had a terrible experience with the tux rental - after spending some major money we were not treated well. First, everyone who had their tux fitted there (we live 40+ miles away) didn't fit and needed to be fixed! Everyone who just sent in their measurements fit perfectly. Also two days before my wedding my husband went to pick everything up and his tie wasn't there! They said you just need to come back tomorrow - why not call us early and let us know that? Why make us more stressed to have to drive back out? Just terrible service!
I was saddened by my experience at the Country Bride and Gent. Upon entering and checking in I was introduced to my bridal consultant whose name escapes me. She did not ask one question about my wedding venue or ideas and began explaining the placement of the dresses prior to my party arriving back from the bathroom. When I was then asked what types of dresses I liked I had requested to see a variety of styles as it was my first dress shopping experience. My consultant pulled all very similar styles and cuts of dresses. My bridal party attempted to pull variations and the consultant was extremely rude to them. After trying on the first dress I requested to see an a-line dress with beading or crystals ( more sparkle). My consultant again brought in nothing of the kind. She instead attempted to try on several dresses while telling me how they just weren't going to work for me , or would not fit. After trying on her suggested dresses I stated again that I Would like to try on a-line with some bling. My mother pulled several dresses that fit my criteria that the consultant told her would not work and moved them to the back of a pile. At that point a member of my party came in to help me and put on a dress my mother picked that fit amazingly and was the cut and bling that I wanted, one the consultant had stated would not work. The consultant then proceeded to put veils and head bands in my hair carelessly and was pulling my hair out. It was overall and awful experience and I was disappointed that when the consultant thought I may be interested in buying she became nicer and begun asking questions about my venue etc... She was overall rude to my party and myself and it was an unfortunate first dress shopping experience. Perhaps another consultant would provide a better experience.
The country bride and gent was amazing from the moment we stepped in! Not only were their dresses so reasonable, they have great deals if you end up getting all of your bridesmaids and groomsmen dressed from there as well! We came in way under budget from what we thought we would have to spend on my wedding dress, and Denise was amazing at alterations! I had so much fun every time I went in, and the dress fit perfect on the day of! The guys tuxes looked SO nice, they were just perfect, as did my bridesmaid's dresses! Everything was so easy there, even returning the tuxes, thank you thank you country bride for making my life so easy!!
I am SO happy I went to the Country Bride! I first fell in love with "the dress" at another store. However, my experience at said store was not too great, and "the dress" was overpriced and over budget. A few weeks later, I walked into my appointment at the Country Bride. The selection was incredible. I tried on many beautiful dresses. But the thing that shocked me, was that they had The One, and they had it at a fraction of the cost than the other store! I did buy it on sale, but the regular price was still cheaper than the other store for the same dress! We were so pleased with their service and prices, that we got the bridesmaid dresses and tuxes there too! They were so helpful and I would definitely recommend the Country Bride.
I HIGHLY recommend them! I went in with a style of dress in mind and the associate picked out such an amazing variety of dresses and also the dress I had fallen in love with at another boutique. Not only was she helpful she helped me style myself in my top 2 choices with veils and jewelry and hair accessories and was never one pushy with trying to sell me their merchandise. I am a pretty laid back bride with very little fashion sence and I could not be more confident in how I will look on my wedding day because of this place. And not to mention how reasonable their prices are
Had a great time shopping at Country Bride & Gent. They had an excellent selection and prices seemed more reasonable than other places. My only issue with them was that they ordered the incorrect belt for my dress, and then made a stink about not letting us return it (even though it was their mistake). We ended up getting a refund, but it did ruin the experience just a bit!
If I could give less than 1 star I would give that to them. This has been the worst experience buying bridesmaids dresses here. First- They lost the order, then they called me up asking which dresses were ordered, and asking who the dresses were even for. Then they told me I had to pay for them all in full even tho when we ordered them they told us to put half down then, and the rest when we picked up the dresses.
While they were trying the dresses on the woman left and we were left to fend for ourselves. It's not like she was busy and was juggling 5 different people. We were the only ones in the store and she went to sit behind the counter. It was annoying that we had no help in the store trying to get the dresses on and off, trying to get the clips on.
Recently, the dresses came in. We weren't called at all. The bridesmaids were sent a post card... The post card stated that the dresses were in and they owed the remainder amount 5 days prior to them even receiving the post card.
This place is a joke, less than helpful, and stuck in 1985. They lose orders like it's their job. I'm so thankful I did not purchase my wedding dress from here.
I bought my beautiful bridal gown here and I highly recommend this store to anyone. It's busy on the weekends so try and make an appointment during the week! The dresses are reasonably priced and they have a few seamstresses so you can get alterations at the store. They also hold your gown, veil, and jewelry until the big day which is nice. They steamed my dress the day before my wedding and it looked perfect!
I bought my bridal dress here. I had some misses here, especially when it took an hour to get me sized for my dress, when it should take a lot less. We wound up buying the larger size, which turned out to be a mistake because after I got it altered, it felt like it was wearing the size I originally wanted. I did go somewhere else to get it altered for that reason. I do know that I got a pretty good deal on my dress because there was a lot of beading on it and people tell me they thought it was more expensive than I actually paid for it. One note, they will press your dress for free if you buy your dress there. They do also clean and preserve your dress after you're done with it.
I had a great experience. I worked with Regina who was so patient and helpful. She actually picked my dress before I even told her what I wanted and it was perfect. I was not interested in the corset back, and she was more than happy to research zipper options and satin buttons to add. The building may not look totally updated, but their selection of dresses was great!
The woman that work here go above and beyond. I loved my veil so much, I wore it all night!
I loved my experience here, from searching for my gown to my final fitting. Krystyna was amazing at helping my find the PERFECT dress. I explained to her what I liked and didn't like and she was very attentive. The first dress she put me in I was in love with, but I knew not to act too fast since it was just the first dress. I tried on about three more, but kept thinking back to that first dress. Mind you this whole time, Krystyna was keeping all information about the dresses a surprise (a factor that I know some brides may not like, but this small detail made the story of finding my dress that much more perfect!). When she put me back into the first dress, it was just as amazing as the first time. As I was busy gushing over the dress, Krystyna revealed to me the best news of all : my dress was by the designer Alfred Angelo, and was from his Disney Princess dress collection, specifically this was his "Cinderella 216" dress. My mouth dropped to the floor! My now-husband and I lovingly refer to each other as "Cinderella" and "Prince Charming", our entire wedding was Disney Fairytale themed, specifically Cinderella themed, and my now-husband and I were going on our honeymoon to Disney World (we're a little Disney obsessed, if you couldn't tell lol). I had not mentioned ANY of this to Krystyna! That was when the waterworks started and I knew I had found the perfect dress! At that point everyone in the shop had heard my story and was very excited for me, saying it was fate! The staff is phenomenal. Every time I called the shop I received prompt and courteous responses. My dress and veil came in in a timely manner and my dress came in in the correct size. My seamstress, Regina, was fantastic too! I am very, very petite and was worried about my dress fitting my properly and not being too long. By the time she was done alterations my fit n' flare style dress with a corset back fit like a glove! I still have people raving about my dress and how much they loved it! I wish I had more reasons to wear it because it was just that gorgeous. This place truly makes you feel like a valued customer and they genuinely care about your happiness. You're the bride after all! You simply cannot find a place that will give you a better wedding dress shopping experience. I would recommend all brides to check out Country Bride and Gent. You may just find your fairytale dream dress like I did!
I will start off by saying that getting my wedding dress here (Bensalem) was a good experience. I walked in with my mom on a whim though it was close to time to get a dress. We browsed around for dresses and one of the consultants came and assisted with no appointment. She asked what we were looking for and pulled out three dresses for me to try that fit the description. The second dress I tried on was the dress! She was very helpful in providing advice and what we might need for alterations and such. After such a good experience I decided to go back with my bridesmaids to get their dresses there. I had set up an appointment and everything. When we all got there we had to look for someone to help us. When we did she stayed in the shadows and did not provide any guidance or assistance. I especially valued to input of someone as all the girls in my party were of different sizes and skin tones. We ended up leaving and getting their dresses at another dress shop in town.
Also, when my dress arrived it was at the West Point branch. We made an appointment for a fitting. When we arrived it was packed and it was prom season. We waited for a couple of minutes (which I didn't mind) until someone came to assist us. When I got in the dress, the consultant made it very clear that we were inconveniencing her time by being brief and not being helpful. It was my mom who was noticing what may need altered while the consultant just stood in the background with her arms crossed and nodding. We decided to take care of the alterations ourselves elsewhere.
Nice selection of dresses. I was happy i found the dress of my dreams. But i was not happy that my bustles broke at the start of the night.
I first came to Country Bride after a friend referred me to their shop. The selection of dresses was phenomenal and they had a VERY wide variety. As someone looking for something different than the norms (NOT strapless, sweetheart, ball gown, etc). I was nervous that I would find the perfect dress, but they had not only one dress of the style I had my eye on. (An illusion necklined lace fit and flare with a dramatic back) They had multiple so I was able to choose the dress that was absolutely perfect. They also worked with me and the designer to make the little tweaks I wanted. The train was only lace and I wanted it lined like the rest of the skirt. Once you begin alterations, you keep the same seamstress so she knows what you want and works with you to get there. They were all very friendly and by the time I was to my fittings, they knew me by name. Always willing to squeeze in an appointment !
I set up an appt nearly 2 months in advance for Wedding Dress Shopping here with my close female relatives, and was shocked how little attention we received. They barely welcomed us, did not ask many questions, and provided little feedback. It was pretty deflating. On top of that, there was very little seating and the place was pretty dingy looking. I was surprised to see this considering the reviews I skimmed on here. I just don't want another bride-to-be to go through what we did here.
I absolutely love Country Bride & Gent! Their staff is the most helpful, and they were very accommodating with appointment times even though I have a very busy work schedule. And the gowns are beautiful!
This boutique was far from my house and they didn't do a great job to accommodate that with me. The seamstress also made a mistake about 2 months out that made me give up ice cream and potato chips until after the wedding, but in the end, but dress was perfect.
I actually bought my dress at the Country Bride in Bensalem, PA before it closed down and they consolidated into one store in Lansdale. I did not know this was happening when I purchased my dress 6 months before. However, the woman at Country Bride knew exactly what I was looking for when others said I would not be able to find it and would have to settle. There was no problems having the rest of my appointments in Lansdale other than that it was farther away and more inconvenient. The service in the Lansdale store is good and they have a lot of nice dresses for reasonable prices. My seamstress was Ann (I think). She is British and only works Mondays. She was the best. However, alterations were very expensive for little work (taking it in a little and shortening it was about $400). Overall I am satisfied and I do love my dress.
I have been to Country Bride probably 15 times as a bridesmaid and this time as a bride, I have gotten the same excellent service that I have gotten from all other times I've been there. The sales staff is amazing and the dress was delivered when promised and with plenty of time for alterations.
I did love all the alterations. The staff was amazing at getting the idea of what I wanted and delivering on that.
The only reason I gave the less than four stars was because of the bustle. Which is why the quality rating was poor. The woman that did my alterations, was great at the dress and giving me help with the bust...but the bustle...was a bust! She did eye hooks and for a dress that delicate (lace) and someone with as much movement as a bride, the hooks didnt stay. I had my dress re-bustled 4 times and at the end had to put a rubber band in it to hold it all together and up then drop the lace sheath over that mess. It was horrible, I tripped twice on fallen pieces of the bustle that came out and couldn't dance until the rubber band at the end of the reception. Not what I expected! I do plan on contacting them to let them know...but you should know...great dress.,,amazing alterations, great super easy to work with staff...bad bustle. If they're doing fish or eye hooks...ask for something else. No way. I wish I'd have done snaps or ties. I didn't know any better!
I love this store. Has everything you need from your gown to bridesmaids, flower girls, tuxes, even invitations (and will give you discounts when you order your gown and bridesmaids there!). My only complaint is that it is small and can get very crowded. Overall, loved my experience.
Excellent service, great prices & selection. Tricia did a phenomenal job altering my gown so that it fit perfectly! Highly recommended!
I was able to find a beautiful silk satin dress on sale for over 50% off. The ladies working in this shop are just fabulous--they treat you like a princess and are very professional. The tuxedo manager is also very professional and knows his stuff. He helped the guys look awesome in their tuxedos that matched the bridesmaids' dresses perfectly!
I was a bridesmaid in my friends wedding, our dresses came from the Country Bride. I ordered my dress in January, it came in about a month later. I was told to pick up the dress and call back about a month before the wedding for alterations. I called back as instructed one month before the wedding to set up an appointment for alterations and was told they were booked and couldn't help me and the woman on the phone was pretty ignorant like it was my fault for waiting to call. I ended getting stuck going to a dry cleaner for alterations, which turned out horrible. Thanks for nothing!
Everything was on time and as promised at the country brides& gent. I highly recommend them or all our wedding attire! Bridal gown, bridesmaids and groomsmen all had a great experience!
Country Bride was wonderful. The dress I wanted to order was only available in the Bensalem store, so they shipped it to the West Point store so I could try it on before ordering it. I live out of state, so getting to the shop for alterations was a little difficult, but Trisha worked with my schedule every time to accomodate my 2-hour drive. When working on the bustle, we weren't able to get exactly what I had envisioned on the first few tries. Trisha and the other ladies in the store continued coming up with different possibilities until we found exactly what I wanted.
This was the third location that I visited for my wedding dress and compared to the other two places, it was a breathe of fresh air! Everyone was very welcoming and offered their opinion when necessary. But, when offering their opinion, they did it gently, as to not step on anyone's toes or hurt any feelings. I purchased my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, mother of the bride dress and even the grandmother of the bride dress at Country Bride (Bensalem location). We also complted all alterations at this location
I wanted a really beautiful chiffon dress but was absolutely not willing to break the bank to do it and I found a lot of great dresses here with totally reasonable prices. I also got my bridesmaids dresses here which were gorgeous and all of the tuxes for the groomsmen. They have really great incentives to getting all of your wedding party's attire here. Just remember that this is not an extremely upscale bridal salon. Don't get me wrong, its very nice, but its a little more hands on when it comes to finding your dress.
I truely got my dream dress. I couldn't have found a more wonderful dress. The prices aren't too bad but it's worth it in the end.
I used country bride for my bridal gown as well as my bridesmaids dresses and flowergirl dress. i thought that i would receive some sort of discount but it ended up not applying so that upset me a little bit bc i would've had my girls look at dresses somewhere a little less expensive. i loved my dress even though it was over my pricepoint (which i didnt know before they had me try it on) but it was beautiful and absolutely perfect for the day! really the only major negative thing i have to say about country bride was the reminder card they sent out when my dress was in. they put the balance that i owed on the card, and it was a post card so anyone who saw my mail could see what i spent on my dress. that really annoyed me. other than that i had a pretty pleasant experience with them and would recommend them again.
Essentially flawless! I got my dress here and guys tuxedo's. The staff helped us with every detail!
