Mary and her team were fantastic! After getting an absurd quote from the local florist at my venue, I was so relieved to receive a quote for exactly what I wanted within my budget from Country Garden. The flower arch especially was reasonably priced and gorgeous, I received so many compliments. Thank you Mary!
Mary was truly incredible to work with. I gave her very few ideas of what I wanted and she completely and utterly nailed it. From the design proposal, to her flexibility, she is absolutely worth every single penny. During my floral preview, I was brought to tears, because of how beautiful her bouquets were. She is very talented and I would recommend her over and over again for your floral needs in Virginia.
Mary was incredible! After postponing our wedding twice due to covid, I had ghosted a lot of vendors (including Mary) because of how uncertain things were. When restrictions started easing and we made the decision to move forward with our June 2021 date, I immediately reached out to Mary. She picked up right where we left off and didn’t miss a beat. She resent me our last draft and scheduled a call right away. Not only did we book late due to Covid, we also had a big vision with a limited budget. Mary was extremely helpful and creative in coming up with solutions that fit our budget and our needs! Our florals were beautiful and timeless and the experience was unbeatable. Mary is truly talented when it comes to floral arrangements and making ideas come to life. If you need a florist for your next event, don’t hesitate to inquire with Country Garden Florist first!!
Country Garden did a wonderful job creating the floral arrangements of my dreams! There were a few hiccups during planning (that were fixed right away), but other than that they were wonderful! They came before the rehearsal dinner and showed me a preview of all of the arrangements to make sure they were perfect and set everything up beautifully the day of!
Such beautiful flowers!!! Mary Cantrell is so talented in the bouquets and displays that she creates and she is also the sweetest person. I highly recommend this florist!
When we first met Mary, she went over the top to ensure we were on the same page and created for us a beautiful sample bridal bouquet that exceeded my thoughts and dreams. One thing I loved was the flexibility given budget limitations. Mary knew I really liked anemones, which are expensive, so she creatively spray painted small flowers and sewed them into other white ones to create that look. She sprayed a few other flowers to help the greenery get the subtle wine color hints I needed.
As we got closer to the wedding day, I came to find out that she would not be able to set-up my wedding, but had a couple teammates who would take over. Luckily, we had a review of all the items before my rehearsal dinner. Everything looked fantastic except for my bridal bouquet, which looked small and sad and nothing like the sample they had created a few months before. However, I was able to talk it through and show pictures of the first one for them so they would know what to go back and fix.
Come my wedding morning, my bouquet looked amazing and they did a great job with all the details and transitions. I loved that we were able to rent an arbor from them (if you don't like the one they propose, let them know - they have more than 1 style and speaking up to what I wanted helped them meet me there), as well as lantern centerpieces etc.
The only item we were disappointed with was the welcome sign. We were told they had a designer who would create our custom message and we expected this to be hand lettered on the chalkboard sign for the day. Instead it was just printed on a black background and simply taped to the board. The size of the print wasn't even right and looks poor, so we don't even showcase the professional photos of that sign. I'm skilled at handlettering and so I did it for all the other signage myself . Had I know this was going to happen, I would've just done it myself.
Overall though, exceeded expectations by far and they helped make my day gorgeous.
Mary of Country Garden Florist did a beautiful job with the floral and lighting decor for our daughter’s wedding. When we first met her at the wedding venue before hiring her, we were impressed by her professionalism as well as her ability to understand and provide excellent ideas for the type of setting we hoped to create. Even before meeting her, we found her website to be an excellent resource, and referred to it many times. We planned this wedding from a distance, so this was the only time we met in person. Mary’s proposal and contract were clear and guided subsequent planning with minimal back and forth. The other thing we liked was her commitment to usefully employ herself and her assistants towards making the wedding day beautiful and a success for everyone.
She lived up to her goals and exceeded our expectations. We asked her to include additional set-up tasks in her contract, which she was happy to do, at no extra charge. On the wedding day, I didn’t have the opportunity to interact with her, but heard from several people how well she and her assistants performed their tasks, and pitched in with whatever they could to be useful. Every space outdoors and inside looked absolutely beautiful. She must have an excellent sense of color and a great memory to have selected and arranged such perfect decor for all the spaces. I especially loved the bouquets for the bride and best woman. Each was unique and perfectly fit their dresses and style. We were away showing guests the area when Mary returned the next day to remove the decor, but not only did she do a perfect job, she left the flowers we wanted in containers that made them easy to share. We will always be grateful for the tremendous contribution Mary made to our special day.
Mary did my flowers for my ceremony and reception at The Omni Homestead. She was very patient and redid them for me 2-3 times because of the specifics I wanted for my look. Everything turned out amazing!! Beautiful burgundy, deep pinks, white and golds. As well as chargers, linens, candles, gold table runners and vases to match. The only thing is to be patient with her emailing process, she was sometimes more delayed than a panicked bride would like but she just must be a busy lady, but she is certainly worth the wait and worth not having to worry about anything on your wedding day!
Mary did an amazing job with our lighting and flowers at the Homestead! She helped us stay within our budget and gave our venue the dinner/garden party feel that we wanted. Highly recommend!
The flowers were the prettiest I've seen. They were fresh and vibrant and exactly what I asked for.
