This is my second wedding that I did with country gardeners florist. Jo, the owner, is extremely professional, knowledgeable about flowers and the wedding business, extremely creative and talented, so easy and a pleasure to work with. Jo created a magical space-everything the bride wanted and more! I highly recommend country gardeners florist for any event!

Everything Jo and her team did for us was simply fabulous!!! We cannot imagine ever feeling more comfortable handing the creative process over to someone. Jo translated our loose ideas into a perfect reality. She pivoted when we had a change of heart and guided us with practical directions each step on the way. Her knowledge of and affection for Lion Rock instilled extra excitement. We applaud Jo's talents and praise the work of her entire team. Our hope is that each successive wedding season brings as much happiness to the families as Jo brought to ours.

They also have an amazing assortment of props/table decor at their shop in Millerton, NY, and Jo helped me choose the best options based on my color palette and theme. After working with them, it’s very clear why Jo and the Country Gardeners Florist team are so well-respected in the Northwest CT and Dutchess County area. We’re so incredibly thankful for their service and everything they did to make our wedding absolutely beautiful! I can’t recommend them enough!!

Jo and her team brought my wedding vision to life! They created the most beautiful floral arrangements. Jo and her team truly care. My wedding was on the hottest day of the summer, so Jo didn't just drop off the flowers and leave, no no! She waited at the venue until a few minutes before I walked down the aisle to set up the florals so they wouldn't die in the intense heat. She made sure everything was perfect. Not only this, but she helped with other things as well. Jo went above and beyond. IF you are thinking about hiring her for your wedding or event, please do! You will not be disappointed! She will blow your expectations right out of the water!

We used Country Gardeners for our wedding at Lion Rock. Jo and the whole team were incredible throughout the entire planning process. To say she was our favorite vendor is an understatement. She is beyond knowledgeable of all things flowers, as well as our venue. We totally trusted Jo and she exceeded all expectations. You get a florist and a voice of reason when you hire Jo.

We had an absolutely amazing experience working with Country Gardener Florist for our wedding. I can't say enough positive things about Jo and her team at Country Gardeners! We got married in my in-laws backyard and had the reception at the White Hart nearby in Salisbury. Jo also did the florals for our rehearsal dinner. She and her team made everything so easy and they completely nailed my "English Garden" theme. She was so easy to work with and incredibly receptive to feedback. We also loved that we had access to her really deep inventory of vases/candles etc that were available for us to rent for our events- this made our budget go so much further! We still swing by her shop when we are visiting and I would 1000% recommend her services to anyone else.

Jo and her team brought my vision to life! I sent her several images and messages on what I was looking for and the outcome was even better than the pictures I sent. Jo knows a lot about flowers and will help you choose flowers that are perfect for the season and temperature. Her team went above and beyond for the set up at The Preston Barn. They were there to help us with all the little details and I really appreciated that. We met with Jo three times and she listened to what we wanted, showed us examples, and worked within our budget. We are so glad we chose Country Gardeners Florist to do our wedding.

My daughter and now son in law, were married in Sept 2022. The flowers were the most magnificent florals I have ever seen. Not only the bridal bouquet, but the mens boutonnieres and all of the floral arrangements for the ceremony and reception. No detail was left to chance and it all flowed beautifully!!! We were literally thrilled. Plus the ladies were so beyond wonderful to all of us, it made it a a true joy. Huge thanks for making my daughter and son in laws vision and dreams come true!!!

Jo and her team are extremely well versed in flowers. Her knowledge is vast and impressive. Simply giving her the concept or "mood" we envisioned for our wedding was enough for her to determine precisely what seasonal flowers would capture our aesthetic. She was easy to work with and reduced our stress levels immeasurably with her confidence and ability. The flowers she selected were gorgeous, tastefully arranged and added the magic touch to our day. Her execution felt personal and bespoke. Without a doubt, we will be working with Country Gardeners again for future events.

Jo and her team of expert florists keyed into the aesthetic desired for my daughters wedding in no time. She honed right in and got to work helping us understand selections in season and that would be best at the Lion Rock venue and within our budget. The outcome was stunning and our guests are still complimenting us!

First off I must say that Joanne is an absolute artist! From the way her shop is put together, to the beautiful flowers you see Joanne will blow your floral loving mind. For our wedding I wanted a moody boho vibe, and wow did she deliver. After seeing the bouquets and boutonnieres the day before the wedding I almost cried! Then we saw our arch and wedding tent which she made to look like a magical woodland forrest, insert jaw drop. We genuinely cannot say enough good things! Joanne and her team will make you feel like family all while you work to two together for formally!!

Country Gardeners Florist was a dream to work with. Jo and her entire team understood my vision from the beginning. They were extremely accommodating and had great suggestions when I had ideas, but wasn’t sure they best way to execute them. Everyone commented on how beautiful and elegant everything looked at my wedding from the tables to the trellis I got married under. They also added fresh lavender to the menus the day of which was a beautiful touch! It was really nice how they also were able to bring in candles and extras like that so I did not need to worry about it. I would 100% recommend Country Gardeners to anyone!

Country Gardeners and Jo did a spectacular job decorating our tent, tables, arch, cocktail hour, and wedding bouquets for my daughter’s September wedding at our home. She worked closely with us to execute exactly my daughter’s vision (tables that looked like wildflowers just picked from our meadows) and had suggestions along the way to help me get to the right look. She is highly professional, goes above and beyond to make sure everything is to your liking, and was present on the wedding day. It was a wedding for 185 people, so no small task to do the tables and tent. I highly recommend Country Gardeners for occasions of any size and complexity.

We got married in July at Lion Rock Farm and used Jo/her crew for our florals as well as overall decor. There are so many positive things I could say I don’t know where to begin!! She was truly my favorite vendor and really helped bring together my vision. Her knowledge, expertise, and skill set made this day more perfect than what I could have imagined. She knew our venue like the back of her hand, had tons of decor for us to pick from, was willing to work within my budget, made note of the little details that I mentioned during our meetings, and ultimately created the most beautiful bouquets of flowers. She went above and beyond to make everything just right (e.g., going out to the farm and cutting branches at 6am the morning of our wedding just so they wouldn’t wilt because of the heat). She is truly a gem and I highly recommend her and her staff!

Jo and her crew (including her family) produce the most lovely flowers and run a wonderful business. Jo works so well with Interlaken Inn and their team. Jo strives to create each wedding’s flowers to be unique and different from the last. She truly understood my vision and created a flowery paradise. My flower inspiration was jewel tones and with an organic garden-like feel. I loved her flowers so much I texted her in the middle of my wedding and brought my bouquet with me to our honeymoon in Maine. At the end of our trip I ceremoniously launched the bouquet off the cliff rocks into the ocean. It was epic. Highly recommend Country Gardeners Florist. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Alanna did the decor for my wedding, and I can honestly say it looked like a dream. I had a vision in my head for what the florals and decor might look like, and reality totally blew me away. Alanna listened to every idea I had and she put her own creative twist on things to make everything truly flawless. I will forever be dreaming about my wedding day. I cannot recommend this florist enough - you will not be disappointed.

After a few postponements due to COVID, my daughter's wedding was finally happening. I can't say enough about how great Jo and her team did with making the ceremony and reception look like a fairy tale. We can't say enough at how much we all loved the flowers/arrangements, but also the wedding arch and arrangement that hung below the chandelier. Absolutely spectacular. It was all above and beyond. Thank you all again.

I cannot say enough good things about Jo at Country Gardeners Florist. She's a gem, a professional, a visionary, and a veteran of her craft. My husband and I had so much fun visiting her shop — it is one of our favorite memories from the planning process. She offered us drinks from a mini fridge and had a table-scape laid out based on the Pinterest board she'd asked me to make her. She showed us all the supplies she had for us to choose from, from table numbers to candle holders and lanterns to welcome signs, to baskets of moss, all available to borrow from her shop so we didn't have to go buy all the decor ourselves. After that meeting, I also went ahead and completely changed my mind on the vibe I was hoping for, sent her a bunch of different photos, and she got it and then absolutely nailed it on our weekend. The arrangements were colorful, celebratory, joyful, everything I'd asked for with creative touches I never could've imagined. Also, late in the planning process, I said I'd like to do escort cards inside teeny tiny individual flower arrangements. She said she had 110 small vases we could use for that and then she just did it, like magic, bringing to life the exact idea I'd hoped for. We opted for a spider web of twinkle lights in the tent at our venue — Interlaken Inn — and because the couple getting married there the weekend prior also wanted them, we split the price, which I thought was so cool of her. The morning of the wedding was rainy, and Jo and her team moved the chuppah multiple times back and forth from the outdoor location to the rain location before we made the call to have the ceremony inside. It was clear they are willing to go the extra mile for their clients. We were lucky to have a pretty big flower budget, but it was clear that Jo and her team work magic within any parameters, and that they put a ton of passion into their work. I'd recommend her without caveat to everyone I know.

Jo and her team are absolutely amazing ! There is no florist around like Country Gardeners Florist. From our first meeting, Jo made my husband and I so comfortable, she wanted to know all the details about our wedding. She listened to everything we wanted and created a vision for our wedding weekend. We stopped in the shop and couple of times, Jo would take the time to go over and modify any details. They decorated for our rehearsal dinner, put the decals on a vintage mirror we rented as a seating chart, decorated the arbor for the ceremony, they even moved the arbor after the ceremony up to the reception. They completely transformed the atrium for the reception for a beautiful boho vibe with twinkle lights, greenery, and white and taupe flowers. The team decorated our cake to go with the rest of the decor, put herbs on the menus at each seat, and did so much more! Jo had us stop in the day before the wedding to see all of the decor, the centerpieces, and the bouquets, and had us make any changes if needed. I was beyond impressed by the decor for our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. Jo and her team go above and beyond to make the whole venue cohesive with decor. They are extremely detail oriented and beyond talented. My husband now knows what “boho” is and loves pompas and cafe ole dahlias because of Jo. Our wedding was beyond beautiful and I will never forget it.

Jo and her team are very talented and easy to work with. The flowers and greenery for our wedding day turned out beautifully. We had a trial run of my bouquet and table settings leading up to the wedding and Jo turned our vision into reality. It was a record breaking high on the day and the flowers still looked beautiful. Recommend for weddings!

I loved working with Jo for my wedding which was at the Interlaken Inn. The team at the venue told me I should work with her for flowers and they were right! She helped me maximize my budget, and talked through several options with me so we could make the best choices and keep costs within my budget. The flowers were amazing! She also decorated our arch, and our sweetheart table. It was so fun to work with her and my mom and I loved visiting her shop.

Absolute perfection! Jo and her team exceeded all of our expectations and spared no attention to detail for our special weekend. From the beginning of our planning through the Sunday brunch, we felt confident in their expertise and work each step of the way. We had our perfect winter wonderland wedding and we are so incredibly grateful! And to think there wasn’t even any real snow. We especially loved our trees that were lit for snow and the orbs floating above our dance floor. Thank you for making the MOST MAGICAL night come true! My bouquet is currently drying so I can cherish its beauty forever. We could not have asked for anything better and recommend them for any event! They are creative, kind and they will blow your mind! Our guests can’t stop raving about our flowers and decorations!

I had no clue about flowers, but I told Jo my colors and what I wanted our wedding to look like. The day of my wedding, everything was so stunning I almost lost it. Absolutely loved the flowers and decor that Jo and her team created for my daughter’s wedding. We went to Jo with some vague ideas and she immediately could visualize what to do to create the most magical space. She was also so familiar with our venue and went above and beyond to transform it into a wonderland. Everywhere we looked there was something beautiful. The tables, the huge greenery over the dance floor, the cake display, it went on and on. My daughter’s bouquet was a dream, and Jo even created a bow tie of succulents for the groom! Working with her was so easy, she was incredibly responsive and anticipated needs we didn’t even know we had. I would absolutely recommend Country Gardeners Florist, they really made our wedding a magical beautiful occasion.

Country Gardeners did the flowers for our wedding and we could not have been happier. They executed our vision perfectly and more. Jo texted me photos and videos of the flowers in the days leading up to the event, which was so exciting and fun. She included flowers for the aisle, the basket for our flower girl, and lent us the vases for the centerpieces at no extra cost. Just extremely creative, generous, and lovely -- and AFFORDABLE compared to other florists. We recommend them SO highly-- thank you Country Gardeners!

Joann was amazing!! So helpful and sweet throughout the time we worked together. She was always responsive and made my vision come to life perfectly. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and I cannot recommend her enough! She did a fantastic job and her calming presence was definitely helpful on the day of the wedding.

Jo is an artist and a mind-reader. I showed her a photo of my daughter’s bridal dress and passed on the bride’s request for a few pink flowers, and 18 months later, Jo delivered the most romantic rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, and reception I could have imagined. It was the “magical” wedding my daughter said she’d always dreamed of. I took the credit, but most of it was Jo. Jo is creative yet also a good listener, responsive, careful, honest, and organized. I saw her in the shop more than once preparing three events for the following weekend and she still remembered more details about my own daughter’s wedding than I did. And renting from her wide selection of tasteful and attractive wedding accessories is far less wasteful and far more cost-effective than sourcing and buying them on Etsy. I can’t recommend Jo highly enough. My husband doesn’t care about flowers and he raves about her work too!

Jo was absolutely amazing to work with. I shared some of my visions on my Pinterest board and even during our very first meeting she just GOT IT. During that initial visit she put together table and bouquet designs based on what I told her I was looking for and everything was beautiful right from the beginning. We postponed due to covid and even a year later she remembered exactly what I was looking for from her detailed notes and pictures she had taken. She was always available for any last minute questions or changes I had, but based on what I had seen in the end I trusted her judgement and creativity. I was absolutely blown away on our wedding day, from the bouquets that were exactly what I had envisioned, to the beautiful birch trellis, to the perfect table designs at the reception... no detail went overlooked. Though planning a wedding... twice... was stressful at times I never once worried about my florals (and all table decorations including lanterns, candles, table numbers) because I knew Jo had it covered. I cannot recommend Country Gardeners Florist enough, Jo and her team took my vision, enhanced it, and then really brought it to life!

Working with Jo has been an incredible experience! She’s been supportive through our wedding planning process despite the postponement due to the pandemic. Yes- COVID may have hindered our wedding plans not 1, but through 3 different date changes, including changing venues, but Jo & her team were there for us every step of the way! Chris and I finally decided to do a backyard wedding, but calling it a backyard wedding is an understatement. Jo + team willingly traveled 1.5 hrs to our home and transformed our yard & tents into something magical, honestly words can’t describe it. Not only did Jo put together absolutely gorgeous flower arrangements, she’s the whole decor package! To the home made birch arch, lanterns, candles, easels, she literally had it all. Chris and I didn’t recognize our yard, nor did we feel like we were home at times. We can’t thank everyone who helped out enough! We immediately clicked with Jo from our first meeting and was absolutely blown away with the final product on our wedding day. Jo is extremely passionate about her work and does not settle for mediocrity in anything that she produces. She goes above and beyond her duties as a florist and created a landscape and setting that was more beautiful and dreamy than we could have imagined. She was creative in repurposing the flowers to help keep costs down. She was collaborative and supportive in helping us bring our ideas to fruition, working with us in a very consultative way and always doing so with a smile on her face. We would highly recommend her services to anyone!

This review is long overdue! When we changed our plans last minute and scaled down to an intimate ceremony and reception due to the pandemic, Jo rolled with it and adapted without hesitation. She put my worries at ease and perfectly captured my vision for florals and decor! The MOST beautiful and memorable touches for our day were all thanks to Jo and her team.

I am in business school and had virtually no time to plan, but Jo was absolutely incredible acting as both florist and designer. With very little guidance and pretty vague instructions from me, she designed a truly special space that exceeded my expectations. I can't recommend Country Gardeners Florist enough!

Country Gardeners Florist was selected by my son and daughter-in-law for their wedding on 10.24.20 at Lion Rock Farm, Sharon, CT. I was so moved by the beauty and simplicity of both bouquets and table arrangements. I can't even begin to tell you what Jo and her team did for our daughter's wedding. The flowers and touches were the most unique I have ever seen. Jo and her team are more than just a florist, they brought my venue to life! Flowers and decor to lighting and bars, she had it all. During our consultation she got to know me and my vision for my wedding. I was included in every step of the process which made my flowers feel completely personalized. You can see her passion for her craft by the way she goes above and beyond. From pinning every boutonniere to reusing flowers, she did everything to make sure my day was perfect.

Jo you are amazing! You provided all the 'translating' from our conversations and manifested the most beautiful flower combinations. Everything you and your staff could do, you did it and we really appreciate all the personal touches. Also, thank you Alana for helping us with our signature beverage collaboration, it really helped to connect with our crystal/flower themed day of joy. We fully trusted your artistic vision and knew that we were in good hands. Also helped that we were able to have a few laughs about our typos and that you were able to accomodate last minute requests! Anytime we need to decorate an event we know who we want to talk to!

Joanne and her team went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make our wedding magical. We decided to get married during the COVID-19 pandemic and hold a small family gathering. That did not stop Jo and her team from bringing 150% to the task. Their chuppah construction and decoration were museum worthy and all guests in attendance (and via live-stream) commented on how beautiful the arrangements were. On the day of the wedding it was pouring rain but that did not stop Jo and her team from setting up the chuppah. As the clouds cleared just in time for the ceremony, Jo used her leaf blower to ensure the seating and the ceremony area were dry. Special shoutout to Landen, Jo’s Floral Assistant, for his professionalism and careful execution throughout the wedding weekend. Our wedding would not have been the same without Jo and her team. We could not possibly recommend them higher. We wish them only the best in the years to come.
