About this vendor
Country Happenings is a family-owned ranch and farm wedding venue in Homer, MI. Jacalyn Hoyt and her family have lovingly restored an old hip roof 1950’s barn and surrounding gardens to create a magical ceremony and reception space.
You and your loved ones can gather at one of two beautifully manicured outdoor ceremony sites. With seating for up to 130-150, Country Happenings can cater to smaller, intimate weddings as well as larger affairs. Beautiful landscaping options for multiple photo backgrounds. The outdoor location is popular year-round because while the temperature drops, the two patio heaters and three fireplaces create an incredible warmth and stunning glow as night falls. For an indoor event, once again, you and your partner have a choice of two settings. The newly refurbished barn can accommodate 130 of your nearest and dearest for an evening of wining, dining, and dancing. You can fully customize this space any way you see fit, from the overall color to style, wall decorations, posters, and more.
Country Happenings provides a number of services and amenities to ensure you have the most unforgettable weekend. An air conditioned on-site bridal suite and off-site groom loft to allow your wedding party to prepare for the day and make any last-minute alterations. Three assistants, one for greeting guests and two for parking cars, will ensure every last detail is taken care of. You can contact Jacalyn Hoyt and the family team at Country Happenings today to begin planning the wedding day of your dreams.

t we could not use the entire upstairs of the barn.
Please be aware of this!!! It was heartbreaking to see my sister not get the dream wedding she was hoping for and instead we had to crunch all the tables together downstairs. Unfortunately, the owner was not willing to do anything to compensate for only providing half the venue with 5 days notice. Ask to see all permits of what you want to use before booking with this venue!
