Country Lane Catering was a delight to work with from start to finish. Stephanie made the process seamless and provided a “date-like” taste test for my wife and I. She helped us create our menu for the evening, which everyone enjoyed, especially the smoked chicken leg quarters and THE CORNBREAD! Stephanie was also honest throughout the process and helped us with accurate counts for the food as when we told her how many guests we had. Most of the food was gone at the end of the night. They were on time for our reception and by far one of the easiest vendors to work with for our wedding. Stephanie was personable and kind through booking to delivery. Thank you again!

Stephanie was so easy to work with! She was amazing in coordinating going through her for not only food, but also linens, tableware, and bar tenders! We got so many compliments throughout the night on the food! We even had some couples ask for her business card! Stephanie was amazing in making sure that the groom and I ate first and even had a small appetizer plate ready to go for us after the ceremony so we could take a little breather before continuing the day and packed us a midnight meal! Stephanie was prepared for things before they even crossed our mind! Can not recommend her enough!!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! We have now spent MONTHS trying to coordinate with Stephanie. I have sent emails back and forth with her since May, it is now August! At times it would take 3-4 weeks to hear from her which would be followed up with some unprofessional excuse as to why it took so long. Once we finally got a proposal from her, it was like she hadn't reviewed anything we had previously sent her. The food choices were wrong, the prices had significantly increased from what's listed on the website, and there was a complete lack of personalization. I brought this to her attention and was able to schedule a time for a phone call. Well, she has now missed two scheduled phone calls with us. After missing the first call she sends me an ill-toned email stating that "sometimes things take longer than expected". Apparently everything does with this woman as she clearly has no time management skills. We have expressed an abundance of patience and tried to be understanding with her. But ultimately she has done nothing but waste our time in regards to wedding planning.

Stephanie was amazing to work with! She was so helpful and took care of every detail of the dinner! She is so sweet, and I never worried for a second about the food or catering because she really oversaw everything! The food was amazing and we felt it was very reasonably priced for everything we received! We got many complements from guests. Her whole staff was helpful and polite! I highly recommend going with Country Lane!

The food. OMG the food. There is nothing that we tasted that we didn't love. And then on top of that Stephanie and her team couldn't have done any better than they did. Consummate professionals and top line customer service. I will definitely use them for future events. Thank you so much for making our wedding day perfect.

Stephanie and her team know what they are doing! I got to work with them as a day-of coordinator twice now and they are punctual in communicating, great at brainstorming creative ideas, easy to work with, and their food is delicious.

Where do I even begin? Stephanie and her team work miracles with food, service and kindness. The food - absolutely outstanding! Fresh, delicious and flavorful. I may be biased, but it was the best wedding food I have EVER had, and my family said the same! They went well above and beyond my expectations. I had given my dress to my seamstress for cleaning and picked it up two days before the wedding. When opening the bag on my wedding day, I found that my corset tie was missing! Stephanie and her team came through with a purple ribbon I was able to use, and it worked perfectly as purple is my favorite color. Her team also helped with my bustle during our reception at our home. If you do not use them for your wedding, you are making a HUGE mistake! Thank you again Stephanie & team for making my wedding dream into reality!

We have never worked with a more professional bunch! The staff were super friendly and accommodating to our guests with special dietary needs. The food was DELICIOUS (try the potato salad!!) and they even packed us midnight meals to go for when we left the reception. I wish I could leave more than five stars!

We recently had Country Lane Catering for our daughter’s wedding (140 guests). In all respects, Stephanie and her team hit a Home Run! The food was amazing and we got tons of compliments from the guests. In every category, from appetizers to entrees to desserts, people were telling us “This is the best _____ I’ve ever had.” (especially East North Carolina BBQ, tapas bar, mac and cheese, warm potato salad, and to-die-for corn bread!) The service was excellent, the staff was very responsive and available – for example, you didn’t have to search for an hors d'oeuvres server during the happy hour. Stephanie’s team provided bartending services for us, too, which saved us money because once the initial rush at the bars was done, some of the staff moved to the meal prep. For another cost saving, we used their mismatched china option and the table settings were stunning. Stephanie was great to work with, we always felt in good hands and got excellent insight and advice as we were making the myriad decisions involved. They also went above and beyond, like getting additional linen to match our color scheme and providing for special off-menu requests. All in all, the quality of the food and the professionalism of service were outstanding, and we think the cost was very reasonable, too. We heartily recommend Country Lane Catering for any event!

I truly wish I could have more star options because using Country Lane Catering was one of my greatest decisions for our wedding! Stephanie really took the time to hear my vision. Not only does she cook excellent southern comfort food (my guests still talk about our food that night!), but she also worked with me on my crazy idea to have a pad Thai station. She went to her local Asian market and walked around with the owner of the market to make sure she was using the proper ingredients for an authentic taste. Every dish during our wedding had exactly the taste we were looking for! Also her mismatched China for the event worked beautifully with our antique industrial chic theme. 100% would use Country Lane Catering again, and I am forever grateful to them for helping make our wedding exactly our dream!

Country Lane Caterers Fredericksburg, Va. When planning my daughter’s wedding at Lake Anna in Mineral Virginia, in October, 2017. My biggest obstacle was finding a caterer that I could trust. I have been in the food and beverage business for well over 30 years now with many connections in the Northern Virginia area but Mineral, Virginia was new territory to me. Since my business is planning weddings and this is my only daughter’s wedding, the food and service were paramount. Not to mention I needed a caterer for, as it turned out four days. I started my search on the web and came across a handful of caterers including Country Lane Caterers. The moment the website popped up and I saw the photo of Stephanie and Mark Lane I knew intuitively that this was the one. I did however consult with two other competitors who came close but just did not have the warmth and professionalism of Country Lane. After my initial contact with Stephanie and giving an overview of my catering needs, I was convinced she could pull this off without a hitch. Stephanie and Mark run a family business and you realize this as they take you into their fold almost immediately. From our first sit-down with Stephanie and her staff it was apparent that they have their act together. Stephanie somehow manages to get inside your head and know exactly what you’re thinking, a little scary. They are the most professional, caring, creative, hardworking and funny bunch that I have come across to date. Stephanie helped plan the menus and logistics for a Thursday night kickoff dinner for sixty guests (hosted by a family friend). The Friday rehearsal dinner for fifty guests. Followed by a bon fire, the same evening, with more food for one hundred guests. (Hosted by my in laws) The wedding on Saturday for two hundred guests and finally on Sunday a brunch for fifty guests. The menus were never duplicated, the food for each event was unique, delicious and presentation flawless. The staff, who were with us for the entire weekend, never faltered, always smiled, never appeared tired or stressed, looked great and made all the guests feel special. My elderly uncle called after the wedding to tell me “where did you find the caterer”? The food was unbelievable”? “The staff were incredible”! “I never had to look for an appetizer and the server kept refilling my drink so I never made it to the bar”. He doesn’t hand out compliments that often, this speaks volumes!!! Overall, working with Country Lane Caterers has been a wonderful and painless experience. Stephanie and Mark’s Staff, Jenny, Lindsay, Mary, Brian and so many others were exceptional. Not only have they created a wonderful memory for my family but Stephanie and Mark have found a friend for life. I highly recommend Country Lane caterers for any of your catering needs, you won’t be disappointed.

Oh my Lord! Country Lane Catering was the highlight of 0ur wedding day! Absolutely delicious food and so professional + friendly staff!! Our guests have talked about not only how amazing the food was the whole week after the wedding- but also how generous and kind-hearted the staff, especially the owners Stephanie and Mark, are. We have loved working with Stephanie- she will definitely make sure you have a wedding to remember and is so good with all the details that go into planning a wedding. Would highly recommend them and use them again!!

We had many compliments on the delicious food at my daughter's wedding--especially the roasted potato salad that was new to many. Thanks so much for helping to make it memorable. And the servers and bartender were outstanding! Our wedding planner was very complimentary--said that the service was exceptional.

Stephanie and the crew at Country Lane Catering were AMAZING TO WORK WITH!! She is so incredibly helpful and genuinely cares for her couples. We used Country Lane Catering for our appetizers (Santa Fe Egg Rolls, Crab Cakes, Fruit), Signature Drinks (coconut rum punch, whiskey ginger, and peach sangria), family-style meal (spinach, almond, cranberry salad, THE BEST CORNBREAD I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE, butter herb potatoes, roasted seasonal vegetables, grilled chicken, and phenomenal beef brisket), and ice cream sundae bar. From our tasting to our wedding day, Stephanie was a bright, cheery, and supportive presence and a dream to work with. AND our leftovers have been amaaaazing.

The food was amazing and a huge hit! Stephanie was wonderful to work with and helped us plan the perfect menu for our wedding.

For our daughter's wedding, she did two different tastings (at no cost) for both the parents of bride & groom and then later with the bride and groom. She was very creative...serving specialties and local raised products. She did a corn on the cob bar for us using a tri-colored corn..which was out of season by about 2 months. She did a test of quick freezing the corn and later preparing it. She found it to work fine...and it did. It was a treat. Her husband smoker was put to good use...smoking brisket, pulled pork and "fall of the bone" bbq chicken quarters. Stephanie did everything needed for the event including decorations, table cloths, upscale disposable dishes (this was just the rehearsal dinner), beverages (except alcohol). The event went smoothly and everything was cleaned up when they left. Surprisingly Stephanie left all the leftovers in our fridge which provided late night snacks on Friday and after the wedding on Saturday. We were staying at Stevenson Ridge and didn't have breakfast service...so we asked Stephanie if she would prepare us breakfast for the 30 some guests staying in the various cabins. WOW....what a wonderful treat and spread each morning. She was there early and had things ready when folks arrived. Everyone was impressed! So be sure to contact Stephanie if you have catering needs for your wedding or special event!

Absolutely the best catering service around! When our guests recall our wedding, one of the first things they say is how amazing the food was! From the mouth-watering BBQ to the corn-on-the-cob bar, everything was beyond delicious. I would try anything they serve! Furthermore, Stephanie & her team went above and beyond to ensure the food stations, bar, & table settings were decorated to fit our "country chic" theme. Country Lane has my highest recommendation! We could not have been more pleased on such an important day.

Wow, the best ever because : the food was out of this world and the service was professional and second to none. I had my wedding on the 2nd May 2015, Country Lane Catering were beyond amazing. My husband initially found them on 'the knot' and after meeting the manager Stephanie Lane both my husband and mother in law loved them, I was not able to attend the food tasting and as I was planning my wedding from abroad (UK) however I was told how superb Stephanie had been and how delicious the food was so I took the leap of faith and booked them. However my being in a different country did not stop our communication, Stephanie sent me pictures and samples of all silverware, napkins, you name it. She was quick with email and eased all my nerves from planning a wedding 3000miles away. Not only that she was great for helping me find other vendors and I found her to be very useful and went above and beyond her duties. Once I arrived in the USA she was kind enough to run though everything with me face to face just so that I felt at ease, and she frequently thought of things that I had not even with all my months of planning. It really plays to have someone thorough and helpful at such a stressful time. And that is not even mentioning the food. It was absolutely finger licking good. Everything tasted great. We got so many compliments from our family and friends about how great the staff were and how delicious the food was, friends are still asking me if I can contact them to get recipes. I definitely ate at reception and enjoyed the midnight packs they did for us. Another thing that was very important to me was appearance and decoration, and I can now saying that the food not only tasted great but looked the part too. Country lane catering made it their mission to make sure that the buffet tables, menus and appetizers tables etc matched my decor and looked amazing and artistic with great attention to detail.

Stephanie, Mark and their crew were the best! Not just for catering, but for setting up all the tables, bartending, and doing anything that needed to be done! Would recommend them for any wedding or event!!!

Stephanie, of Country Lane Catering, was a Godsend. She was so friendly and helpful in so many ways. The food was delicious! People are still talking about that Baked Potato Salad! Stephanie not only provided fantastic food, she also offered many solutions to endless questions I had planning our daughter's wedding. We found her prices very reasonable. I would highly recommend her company. We had a beautiful outdoor wedding. We will always be grateful for her assistance making our daughter's day perfect.

My husband and I had a beautiful outdoor wedding and we wanted the food to be memorable and not the typical blah chicken and potatoes. Country Lane Catering was the most delicious food any of our guests have ever had at a wedding. We must have heard that 20 times the night of our wedding. The next morning the whole family got together and the food from the wedding was the main topic of discussion! We had bbq with an array of sauces, cheesy bacon potatoes, cole slaw, delicious corn bread and rolls, sweet tea and lemonade. Everything was mouth wateringly delicious. All of our guests cleared there plates and then went for more! The set-up was beautiful and well put together! I would only recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer if you want delicious food that your guests will talk about for days! We had an awesome tasting months before, they provided so many options it was hard to choose. They customized a menu for us based on our taste and budget. There was no set menu or price we had to choose. We had a great experience with them and would definitely use them again! We wish they had a restaurant so we could eat it anytime we want!

My daughter chose Country Lane Catering after trying several caterers in our area. There are, by far, the best catering company around. For me, quality of food and extraordinary service is number 1 in my book. Country Lane delivered on both with professionalism and kindness. We weren't just another wedding to cater the weekend of March 29th but an event we would remember always! Stephanie is incredible to work with. She is professional, kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to listen to the customer. I've used Stephanie for other events and she delivered top notch food with exemplary service each and every time. I would recommend Country Lane Catering every day of the week and twice on Sunday!

We met with Stephanie, the owner of Country Lane Catering, for a tasting of a few items off their catering menu. She was so friendly and we loved everything that she prepared for us that day that we decided right then and there that we need not look any further . . . . and then our journey with Country Lane Catering began for the planning for our daughter's wedding reception. Over the next few months I kept in contact with Stephanie making some suggestions and some minor menu changes. Stephanie was very thorough when we went over the final details for the reception making sure that we covered every part of the event. We had a buffet with a variety of choices for our 140 guests to select from which also included a carving station for one of the meat selections. She and her wait staff made sure that the evening, starting with the cocktail hour and then the main meal went off in a timely manner. The food was excellent and all of our guests had nothing but great things to say….some guests went back for seconds and thirds. I would highly recommend Country Lane Catering located in the Fredericksburg /Spotsylvania area for any event.

Outstanding service and amazing food! Stephanie and her husband went above and beyond. Couldn't have been happier! She decorated the Buffett table to match our theme which was not expected! She kept the flow of the night going and was more of our coordinator since we didn't have one, couldn't have made it happen without them! You can't go wrong with country lane catering, very classy!

I worked with Stephanie Lane for several months before my wedding. She is awesome and so friendly (as was everyone else that worked with/for her). She came and met my husband and I at our venue and gave great suggestions about placement and how to run things, etc. They have a mobile unit which means they brought EVERYTHING they needed to set up. They had their own tables and tents for the food, appetizers, bars, coolers, etc. The food was everything I could've imagined. Whole pig right there on the table and it was AWESOME. Plenty of different choices for your wedding menu, and everything we picked was delicious. All our quests loved it! And everyone kept commenting on how great the staff was also. Definitely a good find!!!
