There is no pressure like the Find-The-Perfect-Wedding-Photographer pressure, amIright? Lucky for us, we had been following Courtland’s work on social media for years and knew he h...
ad what it took to check all the boxes on our Wedding Photo Wish List.
The big question mark? He resides in Northern California, and we were getting married in the bright lights of Las Vegas.
Turns out, the “question mark” wasn’t really a question mark at all. Courtland immediately hopped on a call with us and chatted through our dream itinerary. He was flexible, walking us through all possible options to ensure we felt comfortable and taken care of - even before we officially signed on.
…And signing on was the best decision we could have made.
As a more non-traditional bride and groom with a space/desert themed venue in Las Vegas (yes, you read that right), we asked for a mix of funky, non-traditional photos, with some of the more traditional wedding shots mixed in.
Man, did Courtland deliver.
Without question, Courtland managed to capture EXACTLY what we wanted. Even in the pouring rain, he led us through 3 different Las Vegas locations professionally and effortlessly. Courtland quite literally turned rain into rainbows, managing to transform nightmare weather (it does not rain in the desert in November, they say) into our most magical, cherished shots.
From the very first message to the final gallery, Courtland was lightning-fast to respond, engaging, and — most importantly — genuinely excited for our big day.
And the final photos? Unreal. His unique style and attention to detail blew us away — creative, artistic, and so very us. Our friends and family cannot stop raving about them and how well he captured the authentic Trevor and Angela.
Trust us when we say: hire him. Your future self (and your photo album) will thank you.
Courtland was a fantastic photographer for our wedding and engagement! We had the honor of getting to work with Courtland for our engagement photos. He was great at capturing the s...
pecial moment while staying hidden, so it was a complete surprise! He made us feel so comfortable and was able to help us position and move in ways that lead to fantastic photos. We loved our engagement session and were amazed by the photos we received – including a quick first look that we could use to share the big news with our friends and family! When it came time for our wedding, choosing a photographer was a no-brainer. Courtland was easy to communicate with and answered all our questions before we officially hired him. He even had some great recommendations for wedding planning, which we used and helped greatly down the line! He came out on his own time to see our wedding venue and plan shots for the day to make the chaotic wedding day that much easier. On the wedding day, he arrived early to capture the entire day! He has a talent for disarming people and quickly building relationships that make his photography sessions feel effortless and natural. This became ever more clear while he worked with the wedding party and got them to have fun while on camera. He is great at creating a fun atmosphere and also directing people so it never feels awkward. He also got some incredibly unique shots that most photographers wouldn’t even consider, but that turned out incredible! Throughout the day he was sure to always be alongside but never interfering with the action, capturing all the best moments. He is moving between people, running up and down hills, and right on the dance floor to ensure he doesn't miss a single cherished moment. Courtland is also funny and personable which makes these shared experiences that much more enjoyable. Although he is a pleasure to work with, his photos are truly what make him special. He brings to life a scene with his photos and edits. You can feel the magic and be transported right back to the day when you look at his photos. There is something so unique in his shots and his editing; and it is not just the artistry but also the love you can feel that he pours into each of his clients. We cannot wait to make many memories in the future with Courtland as our photographer!
Our search frankly wasn’t difficult - it began and ended with Courtland!
When we first started thinking about photographers, we were looking for someone personal, for someone who...
could capture the beauty in the little moments, and someone that could take our breath away with one picture.
There was not a more important decision to us than selecting a photographer! Finding Courtland Photography was a needle in a haystack of photographers in the area; HOWEVER, Courtland’s stunning, award-winning photographs paired along with his genuine personality made this the easiest decision for our wedding.
As my husband is also an Army veteran like Courtland, they bonded over their time while we drank wine prior to our engagement photos. Courtland spent more time than I expected getting to know us before taking our pictures - he wanted to ensure that he KNEW us, not just how we met, where we live, what we do. After that, it was a breeze to work with him. Our engagement photos were filled with many laughs, touching moments, and jaw-dropping pictures.
Fast forward to a year later for our wedding day and Courtland was, again, nothing but amazing to work with. We’ve already received our sneak peeks (just 5 days after the wedding day) and we’re in AWE!! He captured the little moments of our nieces dancing in rain puddles all the way through the end of the evening being surrounded by our family and friends on the dance floor.
Truly, easiest and BEST decision we made!

r friend’s wedding and after seeing the results of their photos we KNEW we wanted him to be our photographer as well. HIs work product really speaks for itself, but his professionalism and excellence make him the ONLY CHOICE for your wedding and engagement photos.
Cortland does a fantastic job of really getting to know you and your partner's style, desired look and feel of your photos, and truly makes you feel at ease when taking photos that you will treasure for a lifetime.
On top of that, I can not tell you how many people at our wedding reception gave props and kudos to Courtland. My grandma in particular was astounded with how friendly, courteous and kind he was to everyone at the ceremony and reception. She noted how on top of things he was, how he really did his best to get photos of all the guests, while ensuring the most special moments were captured while also blending into the setting - not disrupting or blocking anyone’s view of important moments. Sharing photos from Courtland with our family and friends has been such a treat and we can not thank him enough for capturing our special day and making our photos truly feel like a reflection of us.
I have recommended Courtland to my friends and colleagues who all say the same thing: CHOOSE COURTLAND!
We found Courtland about a year ago when we were looking for a photographer for our wedding. He meet with us and within 5 minutes we knew we had found our photographer.
He drove ...
200 miles to our venue in Fort Bragg. When he showed up early he went straight to work and did an amazing job. He was everywhere at once it seemed and was never in the way.
Then we received an invite from him to do a reveal and pick out our wedding photo album in a private theater for us and 4 of our closest. We were greeted with our favorite drinks and snacks.
He is a very personable, professional, and I would highly recommend his services to anybody for the wedding, or any other major events in their life.
Courtland is the best, hands-down. If you are looking for an incredibly kind, insanely talented, and supremely creative wedding photographer, you won't find better than Courtland....
My husband and I are blown away by the amazing job he did on both our engagement photos and the wedding sneak peeks we've gotten back so far. We could not be more thrilled with our choice and feel so lucky to have met Courtland and gotten to use his services. One of the best decisions we ever made, and we cannot recommend him more highly!!
My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better photographer.

ed a friend. Our photos came out better then we expected. He was very creative on finding different spots to take photos at, and creative ways to make photos extra stunning.
This was the best experience I have ever had. The customer service, the vibe, laughs, tears and just the whole experience was wild and fun.
Courtland was my dream photographer but with him being in California and we were in Colorado I didn't think I'd be able to afford him. But after no luck with local photographers I ...
called Courtland and that was the best decision. Courtland was available every step of the way. From our first zoom call to him arriving in Colorado for our big day. He reached out throughout the planning process keeping things on a great timeline to getting certain aspects complete. He took the time to get to know us as a couple in great detail and asked questions no other photographer had asked. Our pictures turned out Amazing and we got so many compliments and people were amazed with the final product. Courtland helped ease my mind on the big day he showed up and was checking in with me he even got me food and drinks while I was in make up. Courtland captured us as a couple as well as our family and friends. He captured every emotion down to the tears of joy on out secret dance.

Courtland is one of the best wedding photographers out there. When my wife and I were planning our wedding, we had a few other photographer plans fall through and we couldn't be ha...
ppier that we were referred to Courtland. From the very beginning Courtland was constantly learning more about us as people to get a better idea of what we wanted in our wedding photos. During our wedding, he made us feel comfortable and helped us throughout the process (as a hobbyist photographer myself, I feel very uncomfortable being on the other side of the camera) with getting us in the perfect position and lighting to create some amazing photos. He had us fill out information about ourselves and when we had our wedding photo reveal, he got us gifts from the questionnaire he had us fill out earlier, which made it feel all the more personal to us. We are very happy to be his "Clients for Life" and we highly recommend Courtland to anyone.
Courtland has been on a journey with us since the beginning of our engagement. From 2020 in Yosemite for our proposal, Jenner for our engagement shoot, to our wedding in October of...
2022. He has worked with us to make us feel beyond comfortable and became one of our closest friends along the way. His professionalism is beyond amazing! He is a real artist and takes what we wanted every session and crafted it with the most amazing lighting and natural expressions. He truly captured the love, excitement, and energy when shooting is for all our moments. He makes everyone feel special and important while shooting. Courtland is a fun and loving man and works so well with anyone so, working with our vendors for our wedding was seamless and a success. Everyone loved him and his energy! If you have the ability to book him for your special day and work with him you will be thrilled with the whole experience. My family, friends, and guest are ranting and raving about our pictures. HIGHLY RECOMMEND COURTLAND!
We planned our wedding in just a few months and finding and selecting a photographer was one of the most important vendor to do list items. Courtland was hands down one of the best...
wedding planning decisions we made. Courtland was easy to communicate with all through our planning, had great reminders for various things we needed to collaborate on and was so dedicated to get to know us as a couple, our style, our family, our values and more. All that come to find out radiated through our end product, our wedding day photography! A wedding can be stressful no doubt, but our photography experience was not one of those stresses. Courtland was patient, creative, genuine, professional and so dang friendly it was simply nice to have him a part of our momentous day. Courtland noticed my husband did not have a wedding day worthy wristwatch and offered to swap watches! Courtland saved the day on that one, hah! Once the photography was ready, Courtland offered yet another experience with a private reveal session at a lovely theatre with wine and treats, and it was awesome. We are so thrilled with the end product and would 100% hire him if we had to do it all over again. If you are looking for a wedding photographer to truly capture your most special moments with care and true dedication to your all while feeling like a friend, then Courtland is your person! Thank you, Courtland, for such a fabulous output!

ur. Not only did he make us feel comfortable for our very first photoshoot together, but he went above and beyond to make sure we got the shots that we had envisioned. Prior to the day of the shoot, he met up with us twice to go over our vision and expectations. We were able to bring our dog and have him be a part of our pictures as well!
Courtland's professionalism and creativity is unmatched and I would definitely recommend him as your photographer!

but he listened to our advises and made it even better. Extremely creative in many ways no matter what obstacles we faced that day. It's absolutely true what they say, "you get what you pay for". Worth every dime. My only regret is that i should of hired him for 2 days. Once in a lifetime moment people, GO ALL OUT Thank you so much Courtland. Many of our friends and family loved you and got along with you. Keep up the amazing work my friend and God Bless!!
I can't say enough great things about Courtland. We had him photograph both our engagement/maternity photos and our wedding and everything turned out beautiful. Working with him is...
fun and easy. At our wedding we hardly noticed him (during the ceremony, at dinner, cake cutting, first dance, etc.), but he captured it all! He has amazing attention to detail and brought our wedding day to life. I cried when we got our photos back because every single moment is detailed. The colors are vibrant, his work with light is incredible, and I loved all of the candid shots he got of us and our friends and family. We will forever cherish our photos and can't wait to get prints.

m exceptionally easy. Not only did he go out of his way for phone calls, Facetimes, and email correspondence, he made me feel like my wedding was just as important to him as if it were his own. I felt his passion towards his art and the day of our wedding went absolutely perfect with him and his assistant by our sides capturing all of our special moments. I would hire him 1000 times over, and cannot express enough how beautiful his pictures are, or how amazing he was to work with. We will definitely use him in the future as our family grows to capture our special moments.
Courtland was the best photographer we could have asked for! He first did our engagement shoot where he made us feel at ease and after just a few hours he felt like an old friend. ...
He was very detail oriented and made sure he recreated every photo that I asked for on a shared Pinterest album, and added extra photos that exceeded my expectations. During the 1.5 yrs between the shoot and our wedding he kept in contact and allowed us to have a payment plan that kept it easier to afford. At the wedding he kept us on track and made sure that the entire list of photos that I wanted with friends and family were achieved. He also danced while changing camera settings to the Cupid Shuffle and all of my guests thought of him more as an added guest than a photographer by the end. I honestly have no regrets and everyone I have shown the photos to have been in awe of it all. Please reach out to Courtland for any photography needs and check out his website and Insta if anything because he is a really amazing guy who will make you look amazing and add so much more fun and magic into your special day!

time to ensure we were not only comfortable, Courtland even went further by truly making sure we remembered to laugh. We were beyond impressed with his communication skills and his flexibility! From the start, Courtland dedicated many hours getting to know us as a couple which included a questionnaire about our likes and interests, a zoom call, and event tips for wedding planning! Can't thank you enough! Would highly recommend, he's a master of his craft!

job at communicating and planning our special day from afar. On the day of the event, he arrived early to ensure that every moment was captured. We appreciated all of his enthusiasm to capture the perfect shot. He would sneak us away from the wedding when the lighting was just right, capturing beautiful sunset shots of us. However, he also captured those candid shots that are all too perfect on your wedding day. He did a superb job at organizing family and wedding party, making the photos after the ceremony efficient and flawless. Not only were we pleased with his photographs, but friends and family said that he captured the day just perfectly. We would recommend Courtland Photography for any event. He is wonderful to work with and a pleasure to know... we hope to work with him in the future!!
Courtland was a joy to work with! He was professional, and fun while taking our pictures. I highly recommend Courtland for any event you are needing a photographer.
Words can not begin to describe Courtland's work! His energy, personality, and creativity shines through when he is photographing. Courtland was always very prompt getting back to ...
us and flexible with scheduling. At the beginning of our engagement shoot, it started to rain. Instead of rescheduling Courtland rolled with the punches and offered to continue if we were ok with a little rain. The day of our wedding, he and his amazing assistant were on time and ready to roll! Courtland captured not only traditional moments, but very candid moments we will cherish forever.
Fun, talented photographer = beautiful images!
So much fun to work with you! I think that made a huge difference because our comfort level was great and we could relax, have fun, ...
and get some great shots. Plus, your attention to detail is excellent. It allowed for some beautiful sunset shots and not just photos capturing us, but all of the surrounding details is our shoot location too.

ted and needed a photographer that would take the time to talk with us and get to know us. We wanted a photographer that would bring his/her own personality into our event and the photos. We wanted a photographer that would be a part of our special day so that the truest and most special parts of our day would be captured and understood in the moment. Courtland was that photographer, without question. For us, it felt like Courtland was a great friend at the wedding, as well as an incredible photographer. He was everywhere and nowhere. He was constantly engaged in the event so that the best parts of our day were captured beautifully, but was so professional and smooth that you never felt like you were in the way. My wife and I could not have asked for a better experience for our wedding (and even for our family photos in the future). Courtland is the photographer that sees you and captures the moments that you’ll always want to remember.
To be honest, Courtland helped us plan our wedding. We met with Courtland a number of times prior to signing an agreement with him. We were still considering destination weddings, ...
hometown weddings and local wedding and naturally weighing the pros and cons of each. Plenty of other variables to consider outside of a photographer but Courtland made it simple to accommodate any option we selected and shared his experience with each type of wedding he had supported. His experience ultimately helped us make a decision and we selected a destination wedding which is exponentially more difficult to accommodate for any vendor traveling with you, but Court and his team were amazing. Making it easy to capture spontaneous, candid photos to traditional sessions that are included in any wedding photo collection. Our wedding album has received a number of ooohhhhs and ahhhhs from a diverse audience from grandmas and nieces alike. If you want to remove stress from another wedding plan you need to make AND walk away with photos that impress. I recommend Court for any photography you seek!

Even though we are far away, located now in Florida, he has made the process up to the wedding flawless and easy. Stress free is what we need. So ready what we can figure out and make happen on our special day!!

ind photographs, capturing emotion and detail in an exquisite way. We didn't want the same wedding pictures that everyone else seems to have. We got exactly what we wanted when we brought Courtland on to help form our team of amazing vendors. Courtland spent 3 hours with us for our engagement shoot, which turned out incredible, and we knew just from that, that we were going to have the most amazing, beautiful, unique wedding photos. Sure enough, our wedding photos took our breath away. We've never seen any other pictures like these. Courtland listened to our wishes and desires, and captured everything we asked for, as well as extra shots that we couldn't imagine not having. Courtland met with us three separate times before the wedding to go over photo lists, timelines, pinterest ideas, and just to get to know us better. We formed a friendship with Courtland that will last for years to come. The second shooter that Courtland brought to help capture our day was wonderful as well - Marla knew exactly what she was doing and she and Courtland worked together perfectly. Courtland even came over to our home and spend hours with us for our photo reveal - super fun! He has a great personality that makes things feel comfortable, fun and effortless. We are beyond lucky that we had such a wonderful, professional photographer to capture our day, and a friendship that continues to carry on all of the wonderful memories. Absolutely, 111% recommend Courtland Photography for your special day.

ll being professional and providing high quality work. He is super responsive and asked us a lot of questions to get an idea of who we are as a couple, what our expectations were, and to ensure our wedding day went smoothly. t to know that your vendors are available and will have your back. Courtland was with us EVERY. STEP. OF THE WAY. There was never a moment that he was not available and receptive to our requests, no matter how big or small. He is very proactive, you will never be left with a moment of doubt or uncertainty - which is immensely helpful when planning a wedding.
The only thing more impressive about Courtland's professionalism is his talent and love for the craft of photography. We were completely blown-away by both the volume AND the quality of our finished photos. Courtland made everybody feel very comfortable behind the camera which really shows. We had a pretty unconventional event due to COVID-19, but Courtland made the best of what was available and went above-and-beyond, and delivered a pristine product in an impressive amount of time.
I will be recommending Courtland to any couple that I encounter that is planning a wedding. If you are shopping for a wedding photographer, I would strongly recommend talking to Courtland, otherwise you will be really missing out.
