I am the founder of Courtney Windham MUA, a freelance artist based in Birmingham, AL, catering to nearlyweds on their wedding day. In the summer of 2017, I had the amazing opportunity to live in New York City to attend Chic Studios School of Makeup. While attaining my mastery of makeup certificate, I was exposed to immense diversity in the beauty community.
After graduating, I returned to Birmingham and have hit the ground running in the southern wedding industry ever since. Along the way, my hair and makeup services flourished with my couples and their loved ones, and I am willing to travel wherever my clientele needs me. My ultimate goal is to add to the wedded bliss of your wedding day, making everyone look and feel their best with my services, received with the utmost professionalism.
Weddings are my passion as an artist, and it gives me joy to know I helped my clients shine on their big day. If you are looking for an artist for your wedding day, I would be thrilled to work with you. I am based in Birmingham, but I will travel to you no matter where your beautiful wedding takes place.

. I do not wear a lot of make up regularly, so I saved photos of things I liked and things I didn’t like and was able to talk through things with Courtney at my trial. She knocked it out of the park at the trial. I FaceTimed my sister from Courtney’s drive way and my sister said I looked like I had a filter on. I looked so airbrushed and the make up was so wonderful! The only thing I was sad about was that I had to wait a little over a month to have Courtney do my make up again! Courtney added on make up for my sister in law at the last minute and also added an assistant (Hannah!) to help accommodate our schedule for the big day. My wedding day was a breeze. Courtney and Hannah arrived early, set up, and got right to work! We were ahead of time the entire morning and it just seemed so effortless. We jammed to music, told stories, laughed, and got to know Courtney and Hannah! I am grateful for the professionalism of Courtney and Hannah. They balanced that with just being fun people and we really enjoyed their company. We all loved our hair and make up and Courtney made sure my beautiful French twist was dance proof, and it was! It lasted until Sunday evening when I finally took it down. I would whole heartedly recommend the two of them to anyone! I hope I get to have Courtney do my make up in the future, I’ve never felt prettier! ❤️

I felt absolutely beautiful the day of my wedding, and so did my bridesmaids and mothers, and despite dancing up a storm, my face and hair still looked GREAT by the end of the evening (I have incredibly oily skin, so I'm still not sure how she worked this magic). I asked for a natural look (with some lashes as a little pop) and I feel like she really listened and delivered that, so I'm as happy as can be. Also, both of her assistants were really fun and did a great job as well, so I just can't recommend her enough.

As I saw many reviews note before I hired Courtney, she is amazing at keeping a great tone throughout the process; I had a few moments of nerves I wasn't expecting, and she smoothly and quickly calmed me down.
I'm someone who has VERY little makeup knowledge, so my vocabulary in expressing any little tweaks I wanted was bumbling, but she made it happen. She also gave me a hairstyle I LOVED that was based on pictures but not an exact copy of anything I showed her, so it felt special.

It was still perfect after a very elaborate wedding dance and dancing all night after the ceremony!
