We used the Wyndham Pittsburgh University Center for our rehearsal dinner. Our wedding (and rehearsal) was at Soldiers and Sailors, so we needed somewhere nearby. We also needed a place that could accommodate a large group - our rehearsal dinner was around 50 people. We had the rehearsal in the Bridges Restaurant. With a big group, we were worried about keeping the price under control - but they had so many menu options. We ended up just doing pizza and salad, and bringing in our own dessert. It worked perfectly for what we needed and everyone was so helpful in the planning process. Great option in Oakland!

We planned our wedding at Heinz Chapel and the Wyndham University Center was the perfect location. Erin Sharpe was amazing to work with. She kept us up to date with our hotel block and helped us deliver our welcome bags. We also hosted our rehearsal dinner at the Wyndham which was great. Erin also helped us to organize this. She was extremely organized and so helpful! I would recommend the Wyndham for your hotel block or rehearsal dinner!

Fantastic! Best venue if you are having a Heinz Chapel wedding! The room is revamped and all guest rooms are beautiful! They added so many little things to make our day even more perfect! Renee was great to work with and was so very sweet! The room has a very intimate feel once everyone is in there and everything was so perfect and everyone so attentive to what we wanted. Perfect place for a wedding!!

We worked with Ronda and used this Wyndham for a block of rooms for our wedding guests. She (and the whole staff) are wonderful to work with and helped get our guests a good price for their rooms! I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking in the Oakland area.

We had a lot of out of town guests so we picked this venue for the convenience and safety of our guests. Also the hotel had a bar for everyone to continue socializing after our reception had ended.;There were a few details that the event coordinator did not remember.
