Laura is unbelievably talented. I saved a photo from 2 years prior and showed it to her at my first appointment. By my second visit she had created my vision and more. She was very...
mindful of touches that would help give the dress the simplistic elegance that I was seeking and I could not possibly be happier with the outcome. I also came in 6 days before my wedding for my final fitting and decided I didn't like the dress I had purchased from Neiman's for the rehearsal dinner. I gave her a description of what I wish I had found and she created the most beautiful and perfect dress in FOUR DAYS!!! Laura also made my mom's rehearsal dinner and wedding day dresses, which were gorgeous. Laura is exquisite and she always has been, she has an amazing vision and is wildly talented. I am so thrilled that she will be part of my wedding memories forever. My mom and I have already starting planning a couple dresses with her for my brother's wedding next May.
I was disappointed with Laura's work to redesign my mother's wedding dress. I ended up taking my dress elsewhere to be fixed with only a mere two weeks until my wedding date. It wa...
s very distressing. Laura is very kind, but I was not impressed with her work. I think she is probably great with alterations, and her baby/infant line of dresses/baptism gowns are beautiful. But , in the end, she did not deliver on my dress. I am not sure if our communication was off or if the dress took more expertise than she was willing to admit. I would proceed with cation.
My sister-in-law used Laura for her wedding dress alterations and to also to make her rehearsal dinner dress and highly recommended Laura, so naturally I took her advice!
Laura ...
is SO sweet and helpful! She is very efficient and doesn't waste your time. She will give you her alteration recommendations and I am so glad I listened to her! She added the bustle my dress to the side and it was beautiful, and also my dress fit like a glove after only 2 fittings! Her pricing is definitely reasonable and especially for the high level of customer service she provides! I also managed to get my dress FILTHY during my bridal portraits, so I called her and dropped it off and within a week she was able to professionally clean it and having it looking perfect again for my wedding day. You cannot go wrong with using Laura for your alterations (or to design and create your dress!).
Laura was absolutely the super hero of the hour when she did a beautiful and perfect last minute alteration to my wedding dress.
I bought my dress at David's Bridal and they tri...
ed to talk me into a travesty of an add-on sleeve option that I knew just wouldn't look right.
So I called Laura at Coutures by Laura and she gave the best idea about how to fix my sleeve problem. She turned it around in 7 days and charged me a very fair value. The end result was perfect for me!
She is an expert, not just a seamstress but a designer and even though I didn't think of this, consider having her design and sew your dress. She is amazing.
Laura was brilliant and turned my not so perfect wedding dress into the perfect beautiful shining dream wedding dress!
Our daughter was so fortunate to have found Laura's. We had looked so hard for someone to sew the perfect replica of the ball gown used in the vintage movie Gigi. Laura did an ou...
tstanding job and created the perfect gown. We enjoyed meeting and working with Laura who made our daughter's dream come true!
Laura, owner of Coutures by Laura, is a genius. She took my sample sale dress that was a size 12, with rips, tears, and overall dirtiness, and made it into something to cherish. Sh...
e brought it down to a size 6, sewed in support on the bust and cinched in the waist, added beautiful buttons down the back, hemmed, repaired tears in the antique lace, cleaned it thouroughly...She basically worked wonders. I could've sworn we were going to have to pay thousands of dollars for the works she did, but it was WAY less than I was prepared to pay. She is amazing. Look at the dresses she also designs herself. This lady has talent!
