Cover Story did not disappoint! We first saw them perform at a friend's wedding a few years back, where we were the first on the dance floor and the last to leave - and the same went for our wedding in April! The dance floor was full all evening and our guests are STILL raving about the music! We couldn't be more happy with Chris and the team - they're awesome!

Where do I even begin! Cover Story was amazing from start to finish at our wedding 11/10/18. Chris was excellent to deal with throughout the entire process and so was the rest of their team. They were on top of everything to make sure everything was perfect. Our wedding was amazing and we owe that to cover story. From the moment the dance floor opened, no one sat down the entire night. My husband is a drummer and they allowed him to sit in with the band which was really nice and definitely a really memorable moment. Our guests had so much fun and I keep hearing 'your band was awesome!' They really exceeded our expectations. We would recommend Cover Story to anyone! They were the highlight of our wedding! We just received our 2 minute and 22 minute highlight videos from our 09/29/18 wedding and are in love with them. We used Cover Story for their Videography services and are very happy with the results. Harrison was a joy to work with on the day of our wedding. He was very attentive to make sure he wasn't in the way, but also was able to get the shots to make an amazing video. Everyone who has seen the videos can't stop raving about how much they were able to capture and put our entire wedding day into a perfect piece that we will be able to treasure forever. When your only guest complaint from the evening was that they didn't know there was cake being served because they were dancing too much, you know you've hired a good band. Cover Story totally killed it at our wedding. Chris and co. were easy to work with, rocked the reception, provided excellent live background music during dinner and the cocktail hour, and did a great job handling the audio at our ceremony. They're not cheap (though not particularly expensive, either), but don't let cost scare you away. The peace of mind you get from hiring professionals like them is well worth the cost. Highly recommended.

We hired the Cover Story Entertainment band for our September wedding in Maine, and we couldn't be happier with our decision! From our initial conversations with Chris, he was flexible and helpful with the booking and planning process. We went to see the band a couple of times before our big day, and they went above and beyond our expectations the day of! They had everyone on the dance floor and engaged with the crowd. We heard so many people say how awesome the song selection was - they played something for everyone which is exactly what we were hoping for. We would have asked them to keep playing if our venue had allowed for it - they were that good and no one wanted the dance party to end! Cover Story was SO much fun! The ceremony music was beautiful and exactly how we had imagined it. The cocktail hour music was perfect for the setting. And the reception music was so energetic. They had everyone dancing and singing and having the best time all night. If you want a band who can give the wedding music the details it deserves than Cover Story is the right choice. Every detail was planned so thoroughly! We could not appreciate you more, Cover Story and whole-heartedly recommend you to any couple looking for a phenomenal music experience.

The musicians were surely talented & fun, & at the same time, we were disappointed in the communication leading up to our wedding. We feel as though Cover Story over-promised & under-delivered. We are hoping this review helps inform other brides & grooms plan their special day, as we would recommend Cover Story overall but also believe some improvements can be made to their business. We previewed the band in Salem the fall before our wedding, & they excitedly told us they would be able to play an acoustic Grateful Dead set during dinner. When our wedding coordinator tried to confirm that with them, she experienced these conversations as rude & unhelpful. Fortunately, they sorted things out, accounting for some venue restrictions, & a single guitarist performed during dinner service. Unfortunately, the groom’s favorite Grateful Dead song was never played during the reception as previously discussed. Also, the scheduled pre-wedding phone call was in theory helpful; however, it could have been much more effective & forthright. We went through the play- & do not play- lists thoroughly. Despite this, these lists appeared to be neglected during the actual wedding reception (suggestion: bold, asterisk, & DIRECTLY communicate to them your top songs - multiple times - & do NOT rely on the lists or even the lengthy wedding document alone). Countless times the bride approached the band to ask for specific songs from the playlist to be played, only to be disappointed & told they did not have those songs. This is confusing: if they did not have the song mp3s, why would they not communicate that to us during the phone call so we could send them the mp3s? When I raised this issue with them post-wedding, they blamed the wifi, which seems a tad last-minute & demonstrates poor preparedness. Overall, the musicians are talented & engaging with the crowd. The packages were reasonably priced. While we enjoyed working with them overall, there were some flaws along the way.

Cover Story was fantastic from start to finish at our wedding this past weekend (July 21st 2018). Our guests were blown away and they exceeded our sky high expectations. They played a really wonderful variety of songs and had all our guests up and dancing the whole night. Chris was really great to work with throughout the process. We would recommend Cover Story to anyone looking for a 5 star band for their wedding!

Cover Story was awesome! They performed at my brother's wedding in 2015 and we used them again for all of our music – acoustic guitar for outdoor ceremony, keyboard and vocalist for cocktail hour, and a full band with extra horns for our indoor barn reception – at our wedding in the Berkshires. Chris was so easy and flexible to work with for planning and logistics. And the quality of the vocalists, which was very important to me, is really awesome live – a lot better than the recorded videos you can watch online. Cover Story feels like a hidden gem given their quality and their very reasonable price point relative to other bands. Thanks, Chris and team for an awesome experience! Cover Story was incredible to work with! We had live music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner, and then a DJ for dancing. Working with Chris was incredibly smooth and easy, and we were so happy with how everything turned out on our wedding day! We had so many guests commenting about how great our DJ was. We had our wedding this past weekend and we truly could not recommend Cover Story more. We initially went to see them play in Portsmouth. Chris took the time to introduce himself and hear about our wedding. During planning they were extremely responsive and answered all of our questions. On the actual night of our wedding the band was truly phenomonal. They accommodated all of our requests and even learned to play specific songs that were important to us. The dance floor was packed from the moment they started and playing and they never even took a break. They totally understood our vision of what we were looking for. I had people stopping me all night asking where we found our band and saying they were the best they’d ever seen at a wedding. Our wedding was truly the perfect night, and We can’t thank Chris and Cover Story enough!

Cover Story Band was an absolute blast, and we’re more than happy that they were able to perform at our Wedding. They were both professional and fun. We received numerous compliments from our guests about Cover Story, and we couldn’t envision a better experience. My wife is from Brazil and they were able to accommodate Bossa Nova style music for cocktail hour and even played a few extra Brazilian songs throughout the evening. In addition to the band and DJ, we used their up-lighting and Photobooth services - which put everything over the top. The up-lighting provided a warm ambiance and the photobooth produced endless entertainment for our guests. We received a completed photobooth albulm - which is always great to look over after the wedding. We want to thank Chris and the Band for helping make our special day a little bit extra special.

Cover Story KILLED IT. They were very professional before and during the wedding, and sounded great. I think they did a great job reading the room (we asked for older songs early in the ceremony, and I think they transitioned to newer dance songs quite well) Chris was very attentive of the needs of the bride and groom (me) during the ceremony in general. Overall they sounded great. Two of my friends asked about them, since one was in the middle of planning a wedding and the other had a close friend who was. 5 stars - would definitely recommend to a friend!

Wow, where to start?! My wife and I planned our wedding from across the country, so picking a band was no easy task. We relied upon previous reviews of Cover Story 2.0 and videos on YouTube. We were obviously a little nervous when the big day came around, but every single second the band was performing was absolutely amazing. They did an amazing job keeping the flow of the wedding between speeches, dinner, and dancing. They kept the mood going, playing a wide variety of music. Our guests were on the dance floor the entire evening. The acoustic guitar during our cocktail hour was also a solid touch. Working with Chris and team before the wedding was also extremely easy. He kept it honest, and guided us through the whole process. We were so impressed by the performance, AND the band was well within our budget. Would highly recommend to any couple looking for a kick ass band to play your wedding.

The Cover Story team was so easy to work with and helped us stay organized without a wedding planner. We had a live musician for the cocktail hour and a DJ and the music was amazing. Our guests stayed on the dance floor the entire night and made comments about how great the DJ was. I can't thank them enough for making our wedding so much fun!

I absolutely love Cover Story Entertainment! We used them for our wedding on October 15th, 2017 and cannot say enough great things about everyone. We really enjoyed working with Chris. He was professional and helpful throughout the planning process. He and the entire band were one of the highlights of our wedding day. They did the ceremony and cocktail hour (live) and then the full band played at the reception. We had a great time, they kept the energy up and everyone dancing and MC'ed the day perfectly. Cover Story did a phenomenal job at our wedding. From the moment they arrived to the moment they left they were professional and helpful. Chris guided us through how the night was going to go and the whole band kept the party going all night. They read the crowd perfectly and the dance floor never cleared. Exceptional. Everyone was commenting how good Cover Story was for weeks following the wedding. Every chair was empty and the dance floor was full. Booking Chris and Tiffany for our wedding was the best decision we made.

Chris and Tiffany were great! They were always very responsive and filled all of our music requests. Chris was quick to take notice of when we wanted a song change (like when to switch from our entrance song to the first dance) and made the transition smoothly. The mix of DJ and live band was great. Cover Story II We contracted Cover Story II to play at our ceremony, cocktail and reception at the LAAM in late August. We were impressed with their performance and interaction during our special day. It was also pleasant to hear from our guests that they enjoyed the band during our wedding. After all, we know this is not an inexpensive accent to any event and were super happy with the outcome! Their professionalism and expertise in their talent really stood out. While the distribution of age in our wedding party covered the gamut, they had a great read of the crowd and managed to get everyone off their chairs and onto the dance floor. They also managed to learn to play our first dance song live in a week, which was also a bonus for us! Overall these guys left us with such a fun memory of our wedding day! Totally recommend this group/company!!

Cover story was the talk of the night at our wedding! They are extremely fast with replying to emails and were helpful every step of the way during planning. I would highly recommend them! Cover story was fantastic for our wedding!! Our guests can't stop talking about how great they were! The party was really kicked up a notch with the band - every table was empty for hours as we tore up the dance floor. It was songs everyone knew with the added feel of a live concert as sometimes when our group got really into a song they would point the mics at us and let us belt out as a group our favorite lyrics. The band was easy to plan with, we filled out our worksheet with "play" and "don't play" lists from their long playlist, picked our special songs, made the schedule of events, etc., and just had a phone meeting a week beforehand. We saw them at a bar in Portsmouth during planning too - they were a hit there as well! On the day of the wedding we left it all in their hands and they really made for a party we will talk about for a long time! The guests really just raved about the band, and it was clear how much we loved them when we begged for an encore at the end of the night! The band obliged, and finally everyone left with huge smiles, carrying our shoes to the after party 😉 Thanks Cover Story!!

We cannot say enough great things about this fantastic band! They were so responsive to our questions throughout the planning process, and delivered more than we could have asked for on our wedding day. Chris was very involved on the wedding day where, at times, it felt as if he were doing more coordinating than our actual event coordinator! He was very thoughtful of our wishes and made sure to meet them. He even showed us how to properly cut the cake which we will always remember. :) The band brought down the house with their incredible music and talent. Everyone had such a blast and no one wanted to go home! We highly recommend Cover Story Entertainment. Wish we could do it all over again!

Cover Story absolutely MADE our wedding. Our biggest priority was having a band that would get everyone dancing ALL night long, and Cover Story did NOT disappoint! Chris, Tiffany & their team were absolutely incredible. Extremely professional throughout the whole process, and lived up to the rave reviews we read about before hand. We got married about 3 months ago now and people are STILL talking about how awesome the band was. Everything about it was perfect. we even used their add on Videography service where Tiffany came out to videotape our ENTIRE wedding. It was absolutely unbelievable. The whole Cover Story team went above and beyond and we couldn't have asked for more! I would recommend them to anyone.

Cover Story 3.0 with Fil Pacino was great! We had them perform for our wedding ceremony and reception in Newport last month. They (Fil and Melissa) sounded great and had our guests up dancing for the entire reception. They were professional, upbeat and very flexible to meet our needs and those of our venue. Awesome. I highly recommend them!
