Holds ceremonies and receptions
A beautiful venue and accommodating staff. With heavy sporadic rains on our wedding day, staff willingly dried the chairs of the outdoor ceremony (twice) and didn’t bat an eye when we had to make the last minute switch to a tented ceremony. They were prepared and able to handle whatever the day brought and, as the bride, I wasn’t left to worry about anything and could enjoy the day stress free!
From the beginning, Alexis and the Wilhelm family were incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. Everyone we encountered made us feel comfortable and confident that we had chosen the right place for our wedding. Communication with the entire team was also flawless. They were easy to reach, extremely responsive, and always willing to answer questions or provide whatever information we needed.
But I have to give a very special shoutout to Lexi, our wedding venue manager, because she was absolutely phenomenal. She has such a soft yet vibrant presence, and that personality shined from the very first time we met her. During our final walkthrough, she immediately clicked with my husband and me, and we knew right away that we wanted her to be part of our wedding day. She made us feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely cared for, and we are so grateful that she was there with us.
One of the things that impressed us most about Covington Gardens was the attention to detail that has clearly gone into designing and maintaining the venue. They have thought about the little things—not just how everything looks, but how the space functions, the equipment provided, and how everything is presented. Those details made such a difference on our wedding day.
The property was beautifully maintained and fully functional, and we experienced no issues whatsoever with the venue on our wedding day. The bridal suite and groomsmen cabin were both spacious and comfortable, and they provided so many beautiful options for getting-ready photos. Every space felt intentional and well thought out.
We also really appreciated how well Covington Gardens worked with all of our vendors. Having a preferred vendor list available on their website was incredibly helpful, and we actually ended up choosing several vendors from their list. We couldn't have been happier with those choices and have absolutely no regrets!
Beyond the beauty of the venue itself, we really love the history and family aspect of Covington Gardens. There is something special about knowing that this is a family-owned space and seeing how much love and care the Wilhelm family continues to pour into the property through its updates and expansions. You can truly feel that this venue is more than just a business—it is something they are proud of and genuinely want to see thrive.
If you are a couple looking for outdoor elegance, I cannot recommend Covington Gardens enough. It gave us the beautiful, sophisticated outdoor setting we envisioned while providing a team that was kind, responsive, professional, and genuinely invested in making our wedding day special.
We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to celebrate one of the biggest days of our lives at Covington Gardens. Thank you to Alexis, Lexi, the Wilhelm family, and the entire Covington Gardens team for taking such wonderful care of us and helping make our wedding day so beautiful.

J. Duncan Hall will replace the tent that is the Garden Pavilion and is planned to be enclosed and fully heated and cooled by June 2027. Covington Gardens will now be able to host weddings year-round! Our capacity will not change and we will still be able to accommodate up to 250 guests.
Covington Gardens is an elegant wedding venue located in Pleasant Garden, NC, conveniently situated just a short distance from Greensboro. Owner Alexis Wilhelm has always loved helping people celebrate, and she's honored to get to work with to-be-weds as they plan their milestones. She understands that no two weddings are alike, and will work hard to make each one a bespoke experience.
Covington Gardens is a Victorian-style home fitted with modern conveniences. The house has retained some of its original features, like carved wooden floors, wall moldings, ceiling beams, and cabinets. The grounds, meanwhile, cover over seven acres and offer lush greenery and manicured gardens, perfect for photos. Ceremonies can be held at Carter Pond, which can comfortably accommodate up to 250 guests. From here, the newlyweds can lead the guests to a cocktail hour in The Meadow. Receptions will take place in the 4,000 square-foot Garden Pavilion, which has a white tent for cover from the weather. To-be-weds can get ready in the house, which has two get-ready suites, complete with floor-length mirrors and vanity areas. Parking is available on-site for guests.
Covington Gardens has a range of wedding packages for you to choose from, depending on your needs. There's also a weekend-long package for grand celebrations. Setup and cleanup are offered as part of these packages, giving you more time to spend with your loved ones. Tables and chairs are also provided for further convenience. Alexis will work with you to help make your dream a reality, however big it may be.

Hey I’m Alexis! I have always loved a good party. I threw a masquerade ball in my parents backyard for my 17th birthday and invited well over 300 of my classmates. I like to go big or go home and in my mind nothing is too big to imagine or accomplish. When the opportunity to own a wedding venue came up, I was all in. I have always loved weddings, helping my friends plan their perfect day and seeing everything come to life. The oasis we are creating at Covington Gardens is something special. I am so excited for our couples to experience its magic on their wedding day!
