Featuring authentic heavy timbers and magnificent architecture, the hay barn stands as a tribute to the past and a place where new beginnings unfold. Cowell Ranch Hay Barn is situated on 30 acres of picturesque farmland operated by the UC Santa Cruz Center for Agroecology. It has many organic gardens and blossoming fields of crops for couples and their loved ones to admire. The venue also overlooks the vibrant blue waters of Monterey Bay, creating a dreamy backdrop for any occasion. Couples can exchange vows within the barn or take the short stroll to the farm's Ocean View Field ceremony site, allowing nature to surround them as they say, "I do." The hay barn is the definition of rustic meets modern, with soaring beamed ceilings and beautiful design features welcoming newlyweds for a reception with up to 150 cherished guests. There is also an overflow area outside the barn that can accommodate additional guests if needed. When couples host their special day at the barn, they will receive early access to the property to decorate their event spaces and set up their seating plan. The venue's management team will provide a collection of tables and chairs to make this process easier.
