CowgirlQ Catering is a wedding catering business in San Diego, CA, specializing in delicious barbecue cuisine. The company is owned by Lisa Richards, a passionate pitmaster with a natural flair for cooking and high-quality flavors. Lisa and her team are devoted to cooking and serving tasty and authentic barbecue food that will appeal to everyone, from hearty carnivores to vegans alike.
Lisa learned to barbecue as a child by her father’s side, where the two shared a timeless bond for fire grilling over hot smoking coals. From grilling to smoking and roasting, they are masters of cooking with flame, producing that quintessential flavor to food that cannot be found anywhere else. Couples can even weigh in their preferred fuel, adding a sense of personalization to the dining experience. From mesquite charcoal to pecan, hickory, post oak, and California oak woods, the different fuels can impact the final taste of the food.
CowgirlQ Catering offers an extensive selection of wedding catering packages with buffets, stations, plated, and family-style dining options. Typical menus include three tray-passed appetizers and one appetizer display, a starter, two sides, two optional entrees, and bread. Menus are fully customizable to the couple’s tastes, with all foods from meat to vegetables available. Additionally, the company can arrive on your big day and serve guests via the Slo Cal food truck, ideal for outdoor weddings and after-parties.
