Craig’s life always revolved around singing. He had the privilege of meeting Nelson Mandela and singing for Queen Elizabeth II at age 10 while performing with the Tygerberg Children’s Choir, a renowned touring classical choir of children selected from various schools across Cape Town, South Africa. Craig performed in a variety of top 40 bands, tribute shows and casino shows, and later as part of The Barnyard Theatre Company’s touring productions, performing hits from the 60’s to Motown to ABBA in front of thousands week after week for a number of years. It was at one of these tribute shows where he was spotted by a member of premier jazz big band The Sticky Triggers, and was asked to join as lead male vocalist. His years with the band expanded his love of The Great American Songbook, performing at various high end corporate and private events and festivals. He later set his sights on the seas, performing on cruise ships in the main theatre shows and jazz bands on Costa Cruise Lines and Holland America Lines, where he met his now wife Anna, a Gulfport FL native, who also worked onboard at the time. The couple later married and settled in St. Petersburg FL, in 2017. Recently Craig had the privilege of being asked to perform at the celebration of life of Don Vincent, the long time musical director of Wayne Newton’s Las Vegas shows. He continues to perform regularly as a crooner and jazz singer all around Florida, where he is resident today in St. Petersburg.
