We had our wedding last August at Craven Farms, and we chose them about a year and a half before the wedding date. Here are the things that stood out to me!
They have a fantastic ...
layout. We loved being able to have the ceremony in the corn room, then cocktails in the pole barn, and dinner in the harvest barn. Finally, when dancing kicked off in the pole barn, everyone felt well spread out and not crushed but also not lost at the venue. It was beautiful and so green too! We also had five bridesmaids, two female groomsmen, two moms of the bride and groom, and grandmothers in the bride suite, and everyone seemed to fit in and get ready decently and comfortably.
One of the most convenient aspects of Craven Farms is its extensive collection of items available for borrowing. We were able to use their vases, arch, and various tables, saving us the hassle of renting these items. The process was straightforward, and the items were perfect for decorating, enhancing the overall aesthetic of our wedding.
Craven Farms' communication and responsiveness were exemplary. They were always quick to address any questions or concerns we had, including where to park our family BMW getaway car. Their prompt and helpful responses made us feel valued and reassured. We even had pleasant conversations with them when we accidentally ended up with some of their vases and chose to ship them back!
They have excellent online tools to help me plan the wedding. I planned most of it myself (the bride) and was so grateful for the visual aids they had that allowed me to picture the place and know where things needed to go.
Finally, their policies and practices are fair and easy to understand and follow!
I HIGHLY recommend Craven Farms as a wedding venue!
We are SO glad that we chose Craven Farm as our wedding venue for our wedding in July of 2023. After our first visit, we knew we had found it. The venue is STUNNING, the natural gr...
eenery and flowers are so gorgeous and made it easy for us to decorate! Our guests were remarking all evening about how gorgeous the venue was.
Working with Kimi and the Craven Farm team was a great experience. They are so responsive and thorough, and we felt so at ease throughout the whole planning process. We loved being able to visit the venue during their open house, and love that we will be able to visit the pumpkin patch and re-live the best day ever!
The set up, take down, and execution the day of the event was flawless. Any issues that popped up were handled by our coordinator and Kimi behind the scenes, and we were oblivious to any issues or hiccups.
Thank you Craven Farm team for hosting us all for the best day ever! Craven Farm is such a stunning venue and we are so happy we chose this as our venue.
Craven Farm is a wonderful venue to get married at. Not only is it a beautiful location, but the staff and decor options make it so easy to plan the wedding of your dreams. I would...
highly recommend checking it out!
Any 2022 and onward weddings will not be disappointed! We booked back in 2020 with their at the time wedding coordinator, she was great! She answered all my questions at the time a...
nd I loved how they had all these options for your wedding day! The owner Kimi took over half way to our wedding day and she was so helpful, walked me through all the options and helped me literally with everything! For our day of all I can say is wow! They hired a new day of lady and I and everyone in my wedding party can not thank her enough! She literally did everything I had hoped my wedding planner would do and she wasn’t my planner! Thank you all for all your help, I can’t thank you enough!!
To start off, COVID is stupid and it definitely threw a wrench in EVERYONE'S plan. I also know that everyone was/is adjusting to the ever changing mind of Inslee. That being said, ...
my husband and I picked Craven November 2019. We loved the placed from the beginning. It's big, beautiful, and the perfect spot for an outdoor summer wedding. Things started off okay but quickly went south. The owner would take longer than liked in replying to emails and questions. She also NEVER gave a straight answer. I would ask a yes or no question and I would get "well..." with no actual answer so that caused a lot of frustration. As for when COVID started, we were basically told that things were being figured out...it took us asking multiple times if the owners had any sort of plan (didn't seem like they did). Fast forward to probably 2 months or so before the wedding date and they hire a new coordinator. She was great and responsive with emails and communication. We went back and forth and even at one time withdrew from the venue due to frustration and confusion. Thankfully we changed our minds after Inslee's decision to let weddings happen. Craven was gracious and took us back (I have to give them credit) (Also, this is 3 weeks before the date-AHH). So now I am having to basically plan 80% of the wedding 3 weeks before and I am stressed like heck. While the new coordinator was very helpful, gracious, and attentive, it didn't help that this was her first wedding and it was during COVID. I won't lie and say that I didn't wanted to crawl into a tiny space and cry myself to sleep MULTIPLE times after receiving emails from her just due to the kind of absurd amount of things I was required to do within 3 weeks of the date. I understand orders must be followed but I also believe in common sense. Overall though, I have to give the coordinator praise for doing her best to follow the orders. I personally find all of this (Inslee's orders and himself) stupid so I had a different look on things. Either way, it was a pretty rough and stressful experience but I truly believe that if it had not been for COVID, we wouldn't have any complaints for Craven. At the end of the day, the coordinator helped immensely and I was still able to have (close) to the wedding of my dreams and I owe a big part to Craven.
Great venue! Couldn't have asked for a better setting for my wedding.
This venue was beautiful, all the updates they made in the past year are great. The owner was very easy to communicate with and was there day of to answer any last minute questions...
. She also has her own floral business which was very convenient!
The best day of my life was at Craven Farm. Mark and Judy, the owners, were beyond amazing to work with. They let me walk the venue multiple times with vendors, friends and family ...
which made me feel like Craven was a 2nd home. The grounds are to die for!! Craven Farm is the most family friendly venue I've ever been to. I'd recommend this venue to anyone who wants a perfect mix of country and class that accommodates the entire family from children to grandparents.
Craven Farm was beautiful and very flexible as led up to the big day.
Judy and Mark were great to work
with. The grounds and buildings were so well cared for and the venue made ...
for a great setting for our special day. Also, the rentals available for the venue made it super easy to plan and set up.
Craven Farm is absolutely beautiful! As soon as my husband and I viewed the venue we both knew this was the place we can see ourselves getting married to each other and celebrating...
with our family and friends. Mark was wonderful to work with. He was always enthusiastic and it felt like as if we'd known him forever. The day of the wedding he would peek in to make sure everything was going smoothly and would help out with small things where needed. I would highly recommend using Craven Farm as your wedding venue! I am so happy we did!
I have many mixed feelings about Craven Farm. While the venue is beautiful and a wonderful place to have a wedding, there is one issue: the owners. Mark and Judy Craven, the owners...
of the venue, could not be more different. Mark is kind, helpful, responsive, and enthusiastic. On the other hand, Judy may be one of the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of working with. From the very beginning when we first toured the venue, Judy seemed to have an attitude and constantly be grumpy. We decided that the beauty of the venue and Mark's jolly demeanor made up for it, and we gladly booked their services.
Throughout the wedding planning process, we worked mostly with Mark. He was very helpful when I had questions. On the few occasions where I was forced to get help from Judy, I would often get curt responses such as "well, if you read your contract you'd see that...", etc. The real problem came the day of the wedding. I was extremely stressed (as most brides will be) and we were running behind for photos. My photographer asked me if we were ready to start photos, and I replied "we could, if my sister would get her a** over here." Judy, who was standing nearby and heard this, immediately started yelling at me and berating me as if I were a child. She yelled "how dare you speak like that on my farm. You need to watch your damn mouth right now or you can leave." I immediately burst into tears, threw my bouquet at one my bridesmaids, and ran into the barn. I wasn't there to witness it, but apparently several of my bridesmaid and my groom shared their feelings with Judy for her unprofessional and unnecessary behavior. I have never been more embarrassed or upset, and the experience practically ruined my wedding for me. Buyer be warned, Craven is beautiful and Mark is great, but avoid Judy at all costs!!
I'm so glad we went with Craven Farm as our wedding venue, so many of our guests told us it was the most beautiful venue they've ever seen! Unlike other similar farm venues, Craven...
keeps the grounds clean and the landscape is perfectly manicured. They helped out with so much and I wouldn't change the experience for anything!
Absolutely perfect! This venue is the perfect location for any bride who wants that country yet classy feel. It's definitely more on the country side, but it's perfect! The place d...
oesn't even really need any decorations, although it adds a nice touch, but Craven Farm speaks for itself. They already have little lights and things hanging from the barn ceiling and it's a simple beauty! LOVED having my wedding here :) Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to have a country wedding. And Judy and Mark are very helpful in the process!

reception. Our guests were all from out of town and thought that it was one of the most beautiful locations for a wedding. The setting is perfect for wedding pictures.

eady at, they have a cute bridal room with an antique feel and a grooms room with a poker table and stereo. We had our reception inside the barn, it needed very little decorating because they already have lights around the room and the ceiling and candel holders set up along the walls. The people that work there are also very helpfull, they are experienced and have some great ideas. Overall we loved the location!
The venue was casual but elegant so that our family and friends were completely comfortable. I absolutely loved that we weren't in a hotel ballroom Craven Farm has so much charac...
ter and with minimal decorations was beautiful.;It had rained off and on prior to the ceremony we were married in the grassy garden area and the ground was a touch soggy.
