Crazy Dutchman catering was great to work with for our wedding! The team was very responsive with all questions we had including rental counts, menu edits, and adjustments as we got close to the wedding. The food was fantastic! We received many compliments throughout the night about how delicious everything was. We loved working with them and would highly recommend their services.

I loved working with them! Hans the owner was so helpful when I had questions on costs and gave me some great options on the food items to accommodate our wishes for our cocktail hour and buffet dinner! His staff was very professional and prompt in answering questions via e-mail and they were amazing on our wedding night! We used them for our bartending services as well. I recommend them to anyone!

USE Crazy Dutchman!! I had a fall wedding at Alhambra Hall and messaged previous brides to hear about their food. One bride told me CD and that the reviews were raving from her guests. Well- she was right! All my guests said how amazing the food was and how impressed they were. Hans and the team are great- definitely use them!

My husband and I wanted to share our great experience with Hans and his crew of caters and bar tenders . The company was very professional from the start of our planning and worked very closely with us on our menu. Along with our bar needs. They were very accessible through email with our questions thru out the process of planning . We did not do a tasting due to our daughter’s work schedule, however we had been at 4 other weddings and had the delicious food. Along with the presentations of their stations , and bar . They kept the food tables clean and the venue picked up . Again everyone was very professional who we worked with . The entire day was just beautiful. Thank you all . We have 4 more Children to be married , we will hire them again .

Han and his team- worked effortlessly with me. I'm not from Charleston and I had a very specific menu I want. They were very professional in emails and phone calls and the tasting. The day of the wedding they did an amazing job with keeping our guest happy with food and beverages. The food was wonderful- we receive a lot of complements. The crew at Crazy Dutchman was BEYOND helpful and accommodating to my procrastination and my two times having to postpone our wedding due to COVID. That isn’t even the best part they were not only super professional and amazing on our day, but they also had in my opinion the best wedding food I have ever had!! I have been in 19 weddings and I may be biased, but it was the best I have had. I had so many guest text and tell me the night off how absolutely delicious the food was. This includes many seasoned vets and newbies to Shrimp and grits saying how unbelievably incredible they were. I would recommend their services to absolutely anyone who asks!! We hired Crazy Dutchman to cater a party during our wedding weekend. The whole experience was great -- Hans and Anna were really helpful finalizing the menu, they were really responsive and flexible with us when we needed to change plans, and the food and service on the day were incredible. Our friends and family haven't stopped talking about how good everything was. We would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Hans and his team provided excellent food for "stations" and the bar service for our daughter's wedding. They are professional and very responsive, especially in navigating through COVID protocols. Anna assisted with the planning and was outstanding - providing detailed information in a timely manner.

Camilla is absolutely wonderful to work with! She is very professional and has so much experience in the industry. Trying to throw a wedding during COVID was not easy but she helped us navigate the difficult waters - from changing the wedding date to changing the venue a month before the wedding! The wedding was perfect and I cannot say enough about Camilla and her team. Outstanding!

In a city where wedding vendors charge an arm and a leg, Crazy Dutchman Catering is a breath of fresh air. We had our wedding at a fairly unconventional, rustic venue, and Crazy Dutchman Catering helped us pull off the perfect lowcountry menu. We had a lowcountry boil, pulled pork, banana pudding, chicken and waffles, just to name a few... Our guests raved about the food all night. The best part - Crazy Dutchman Catering is easy to work with, flexible, and offers reasonable prices. They were great about handling some of the logistical challenges at our venue, and they were super patient despite our indecisiveness. I would highly recommend hiring Crazy Dutchman Catering!

Crazy Dutchman Catering is my absolute FAVORITE caterer in Charleston! CDC catered my April 2019 wedding, and this is not the first time we've worked with them - they're that good! The selection of available dishes and cuisines is incredible, food is delicious, and you won't find better service. They bring a huge crew to make your event a success - and their prices can't be beat. Everyone at our wedding raved about the food - and we got to enjoy the leftovers!

This was the BEST catering company/bar service we could have picked for our wedding! The food was cooked to perfection (so so good) and everything was served great and was ready when needed. The wait staff were so great, as well as the bartender! We are still getting compliments on the food! Wish I could rate them as more than a 5 star!!!

The food tasted fabulous. It was ready on time and tasted great. We did, however, have many problems with the service. Most of the staff chose to smoke cigarettes outside instead of clearing plates. My aunt with cancer had to ask them numerous times to do their jobs- the stuff we paid for in the contract. They did a great job at my sisters wedding last year, but this year my family and planner were both appalled.

Working with Crazy Dutchman was one of the easiest parts of the whole wedding process! Everyone was so responsive! They were able to provide guidance about everything from food choices to set up at the venue! The tasting was so fun too! Prices were affordable and the food was AMAZING!! Hans and his team are AMAZING! Our food was excellent and the service was equally as wonderful. We dealt primarily with Brooke and Karen and they were so accommodating and patient from day one. They were quick and responsive for months leading up to our wedding and never batted an eye when we made a million changes or asked for different options and adjustments. They helped us build the perfect menu while staying in our budget. We wanted great food with a relaxed feel and they nailed it! We are so grateful we found these guys and have received tons of feedback from friends and family about great the food was.

They responded promptly on emails and were very helpful in figuring out how much and what kind of food to serve for the type of event we were going for. The day itself went seamlessly, the food was great, we had pork loin and chicken tenders with a couple other veggies. The pork loin was especially great, it was juicy and tasted great. We had our outdoor and casual wedding reception on Folly Beach, SC Easter weekend catered by Crazy Dutchman Catering and everyone raved about the food. That macaroni and cheese, which I asked for without pimento due to my guests not being familiar with pimento, and cornbread were a hit, especially! We also opted for the Oyster Roast during cocktail hour and that impressed our guests and that was fairly affordable. Overall, the Crazy Dutchman Catering was affordable and the staff were very friendly. If I were to have another event in the Charleston area again, I would certainly re-hire them!

Delicious food, great service from workers. They were helping out with things that weren’t even their job... even down to wiping the chairs after it rained before the ceremony! Good value for the price as we had plenty of food at the wedding and plenty left over for us and family members to take home and enjoy.

We loved Crazy Dutchman Catering! They catered our wedding and did an amazing job. Everyone loved the southern bbq and everyone went home full and happy. Our favorite thing on our menu was the pimento Mac and cheese. It is a must have!

Crazy Dutchman was recommended to us by a family friend who was beyond thrilled with how their services worked out for their event. We began discussing menus and after we received our first estimate, were sold on the value. We wanted to have a reception menu that reflected "us" and had items we both loved. After some back and forth between my bride and I, we committed to a menu and scheduled a tasting at their offices. This was one of the more fun aspects of wedding plan in our opinion and we highly recommend doing so if you can. Eating in front of someone who is not also eating is a tad awkward, but they take detailed notes if you want items to be seasoned differently or something does not suit. Everything we tried we liked and were excited to share with our guests. During the tasting we were able to modify a few other items to include the plates and utensils from their baseline and see what the options were. We opted to use disposable hard plastic plates that looked like fine china with silver plastic utensils, which saved us nearly $1k in china rentals and reduced the overall labor cost. Another neat part of the tasting experience is seeing all the notes on the walls thanking this catering company for donating all the leftover food from their events to the Crisis Ministries. Our guests LOVED the food at the reception and no one went home hungry. Our coordinator had a staff that brought plates of food from all three stations to our sweetheart table. Our only regret is that we were not able to eat more, but as the bride and groom, that's how it goes. They made sure we had to go boxes to take as we departed the reception which were greatly appreciated after a wonderful and busy day. From the very start everything was upfront and we always felt we could reach with any questions that were answered in a timely manner. We would love to use them again highly recommend them for your catering needs. You will not be disappointed.

Crazy Dutchman catering did my wedding this May and their food was so delicious! My husband and I did the station style buffet with many food options! Guests at our wedding loved it and said all the food was so good! One thing people always talk about with weddings afterwards is the food, and everyone loved our food at the wedding all thanks to Crazy Dutchman! You must book them! They do not disappoint!!

Crazy Dutchman Catering really nailed my brunch themed reception and cocktail hour. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to feed my guests without it costing an arm and a leg! The food was delicious, hot, and well prepared. The staff was incredibly professional and attentive. I work in the Charleston food and beverage industry, as do many of my guests, so I had high expectations. I am so happy with the way everything turned out. Our leftovers were packed away for us to enjoy that night as well as the next morning before we left for our honeymoon. Hans and his staff really exceeded my expectations and I cannot say enough.

My guests have not stopped talking about how delicious our food was for our wedding that was on April 8, 2018. We had a dinner that consisted of crab cakes, pork tenderloin, mashed potato bar, and shrimp and grits. We also had our bar service through them as well. They exceeded our expectations. CDC catered our wedding in January 2018. From the initial tastings to coordinating layout and setup, everyone on the CDC was amazing. They were attentive to the smallest details and answered all our questions quickly. All of our guests were extremely complimentary of our food choices. There are no words to describe how amazing The Crazy Dutchman Catering crew is. From the time we emailed them for a quote to them sending us a gift after our wedding. They were the most helpful, flexible, and understanding group of people to work with. The food was UN. REAL. and bar service was 10/10. People are still talking about the pimento Mac and cheese. We feel so blessed to have been able to work with such a professional catering service.

When looking into caterers, we made a list of a few and Crazy Dutchman was the only one to offer complimentary tastings! Once we tried them we knew we didn't need to go elsewhere. They have so many food options and we were able to craft a southern style menu. Our guests loved the food--one guest said the fried chicken was the best she's ever had! They were very efficient getting back to us with e-mails and provided us with a stress-free and absolutely delicious experience! I truly hope we have another event that will need catered in our future so that we can use them again : )

Crazy Dutchman makes really delicious food and is by far the most reasonably priced caterer I had found. I can't count many people were raving about how unbelievably good the food was - many people went back for seconds. We were able to do a tasting to make sure we liked the menu we picked, and also got the chance to plan out any additional add-ons we wanted. The CDC Bar was also very affordable and had many options for all tastes. SUPER happy with my catering choice!

We loved them from the start. Hans is so kind and gave us such great advice, well before we were even ready to book our venue and do tastings. I never felt like he was pushy or sales-y. He gave his honest opinion and taught us a lot about the low country, as we were planning our wedding from Chicago. That really stood out to me and showed how they are genuinely great people. Once our venues were booked, we went to CDC for a tasting and loved them. They let us taste almost the entire menu, and it was incredible. They always kept our budget in mind and suggested effective ways to cut down on costs. They were very, very helpful and professional. We worked with Brooke during the wedding planning process and she was incredibly professional, fair, easy to work with and she always had our budget and best interests in mind. She gave so many great recommendations, and also took care of our rentals, which was actually cheaper than doing it on our own. What a relief, especially since we were planning from Chicago! CDC did a low country boil for our rehearsal dinner and then all of the food and bars at our wedding the following day. We are STILL getting compliments on how incredible their food was for both nights. Everyone is still drooling over their food - they are THAT good. Their staff was wonderful, professional, well-prepared, friendly and my guests and I appreciated all of their hard work. They made our rehearsal and wedding night go perfectly. We absolutely loved working with Crazy Dutchman Catering for our wedding at the Cooper River Room on July 29th, 2015 --the food was amazing, the service was top notch, and they were so quick to respond to any and all of our questions. Hans and Brooke designed an incredibly delicious "stations" based menu, along with fantastic appetizers, and beer/wine service to fit our tight budget. Our guests especially loved the Lowcountry Boil and BBQ sliders stations! They even put together to go boxes of food for us to take home (we didn't have much time to eat). We very highly recommend Crazy Dutchman Catering!! They are amazing!

Crazy Dutchmen Catering were consummate professionals, prior to our wedding they were incredibly helpful in formulating and advising us on a menu that catered to our wide variety of guests. They were prompt in their replies to inquiries and helped us not only finalize a meal we were happy with but advised us on all the other details that often get overlooked (amount of chairs, tables, dining ware, etc...). When it came time for the tasting the food was tremendous. Each plate explained in detail as well as the time and setting it would be served throughout our reception. They were able to meet and exceed our needs while still keeping things within our budget. The day of the reception they had everything set up and ready to go with plenty of staff on hand. The staff was professional and courteous, diligently attending to all our guests. The food tasted just as amazing as when we first sampled it. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Everything was what we hoped for and more!
