Ruthie has been doing my makeup for 8 years. Whether it be a look for a Halloween/theme event or my engagement photoshoot, she is able to capture exactly what I want. Not only is her craftsmanship extraordinary, she takes such good care of you, you’d want to be her best friend after one session. I can only imagine how wonderful of an instructor she is. If I still lived in the same state as she does, there’d be no question who I’d call for all my beauty crises.

Working with Ruthie is the best! She did my wedding day makeup almost 3 years ago, as well as my mom’s and sister’s and some bridesmaids too! She juggled it all with ease and perfection, everyone loved their makeup. She is professional, prompt, reliable, and makes the experience a personal one. Her easy going nature makes any bride relaxed on her wedding day. From my trial, shower, and rehearsal dinner, she was there for the whole ride! She has also been at almost all my friends weddings and became an integral part of our bridal getting ready posse over the years! I couldn’t imagine a wedding party without her in it! I trust her to give me the natural, not made-up look that stays on all night, but she also always up for doing something fun and out of box so her style is super versatile. She is my go-to for any event!

Honestly best team I ever worked with. Usually on your wedding day you cry when you put your dress on and see yourself all done up. When Ruthie finished with my makeup and I looked in the mirror I almost lost it. I wanted to cry from happiness. She did a phenomenal job and was so sweet and calming. She even waited until after my ceremony to touch me up and make sure I was at my best. Reliable, efficient, perfectionist and professional. Highly recommend!

My experience with Ruth was amazing! She made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day and did an great job catering to the needs of my bridal party! You can tell from the minute you meet her that she has such a kind heart & truly enjoys her work!

I cannot say enough how absolutely amazing Ruthie and Jonny are! Both have done my makeup on numerous occasions and have NEVER disappointed. From the moment they walk in a room they’re personalities shine and they already have you feeling confident and beautiful! When I say my makeup always looks amazing, I mean it! They are both so professional and also informative about the products they are using. Each wedding or event I have attended I always get complimented and asked about my makeup! I would HIGHLY recommend them for your next event!!!

Jonny was just great. He made everyone comfortable and took a lot of the anxiety out of the last minute preparations. His work was excellent and there was no drama.

Jonny did the makeup for my daughter's wedding and every one of us absolutely loved him. He is very professional and incredibly talented but even more importantly, he is so upbeat and fun to be around. We had such a good time with him! He really listened to each of us and we were all thrilled with the results. I especially loved that he was able to accommodate everyone's style and comfort level. My daughters and I love makeup, so no problem there. However, the mother of the groom doesn't normally wear makeup but really wanted to look her best. He was so wonderful with her, immediately made put her at ease and applied her makeup with a very light touch. She was so happy! I have recommended him to so many people since then, and everyone has loved him and been extremely happy with his expertise.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful my experience was with Jonny. From start to finish, he was a thoughtful and engaging expert that put together a stunning look for my sisters wedding. He was able to make her vision a reality and his skills are incredible. He was able to manage time efficiently and did 5 faces of makeup perfectly without breaking a sweat. He was also so connected to the occasion and made the bride feel so special and like the priority without making anyone else feel any less. I would recommend him to anyone!

I would consider myself a makeup snob in that I've worked in Cosmetics (specifically Makeup Education) for over 10 years so I know an amazing Makeup Artist when I see one and Jonny is just that, a highly skilled Makeup Artist. He made me feel like the most beautiful version of myself on my wedding day and I couldn't even keep up with the number of compliments I received on my makeup. He is has an amazing temperament, is timely and extremely professional. My bridal party and Mother LOVED him and they loved the makeup applications they received from him. They looked like the most gorgeous versions of themselves. My Mother in Law isn't as comfortable with makeup and he made her feel SUPER comfortable which was great for her and for me. We had a lot of laughs and I would most certainly recommend him to anyone on the Knot since I recommend him to anyone who asks!

Jonny of Creating Faces did my bridal make up and oh my god...words literally can't describe how amazing he is (not only as a make up artist but as a person)! Jonny is extremely professional, supportive, kind and so understanding -- he executed my make up vision PERFECTLY and it was more incredible than anything I could have ever imagined! This kind of connection & understanding between make up artist & client is extremely rare -- trust me, I get my make up done A LOT. And until I met Jonny, I never knew a MUA I truly genuinely trusted with my face (I would always redo it afterwards before). But once he did my trial I KNEW he was the one and I couldn't be more grateful to have met him and had him do my make up for my rehearsal dinner and wedding day. I've never felt more confident or beautiful for the best day(s) of my life, and this is all thanks to Jonny's impeccable make up artistry. Not to mention my make up stayed on all day, and it was super hot! I cannot recommend Jonny & Creating Faces NY highly enough for any & all of your make up needs!!!

Jonny is AMAZING! He did makeup for my sister’s wedding day and easily made everyone (my sister, our two other sisters, our mom, and my sister’s mother in law) feel so comfortable. We range greatly in terms of how much and what kind of makeup we wear, and everyone was thrilled with their looks. He is also extremely punctual, professional, and hilarious. It was truly a pleasure spending time with him! I have recommended him to multiple people since and will continue to do so.

Jonny did my makeup for my sister's wedding and it was the best experience! In the past, I haven't always liked the outcome when someone else does my makeup...it feels too heavy or not really "me". Jonny listened to my concerns and made me feel and look absolutely beautiful (if I do say so myself). I love looking back at photos of that day and thinking "I looked GOOD". I highly recommend him for your next big event.

I had the pleasure of having Jonny do my make up for my wedding this past June and he was SUCH a delight to work with! My daily makeup tends to be minimal, so he made sure that I was comfortable every step of the way and he did a gorgeous job. I highly recommend Jonny - he is the absolute best!

Jonny took exceptional care to create a look that suited me and my wedding. A true artist who explained the importance of wedding makeup as a 3D look that needs to be able to withstand/look good on multiple levels. From face to face, photographs, and withstanding a night of dancing Jonny really knows his stuff. If you don’t go with him you will be sorry (hello orange contour, yuck!). I could not be more pleased with his professionalism and attention to detail.

I had the pleasure to have Jonny as my makeup artist for my wedding. Jonny was organized, detailed and really made sure to remind me it was my day and whatever I wanted he will do! We had 2 makeup trials before my big day. Which I highly recommend doing! Jonny took the time to assure the makeup not only looked flawless but made sure it complimented my complexion and eye color. Jonny had endless amount of makeup so no worries if you are bias to a brand because he had alternatives. Being a picky person in general this was a plus for me! On my big day I decided on airbrush makeup which I'm so happy I did. Given the 85 degree whether I really loved how the makeup managed to maintain through the night and my pictures looked flawless. I give Jonny an overall 5 star because not only did he travel to my destination wedding in Mexico but the confidence he gave me during my trials and big day! I can't think of anything bad to say other then come ready to have a good time and laugh because he has a character as well :)) Thank you Jonny for making me and my bridal party looking flawless on my big day!
