AMAZING! Tammy and her team did a wonderful job with my wedding cake and the cute little cowboy/cowgirl boot cookies as favors. Tammy's design for the cake was elegant, simple and perfect for my wedding. My husband and I LOVED the flavors of the cake and fillings. We wished that we had cake left over, it was so good!

Just go to the taste testing and that'll tell you everything you need to know haha (but for real though). To be honest I didn't even want a cake but my mom made me at least try the testing. I was hooked. There are so many delicious flavors and different icings and it was so reasonably priced! Tammy is the best and made us the most beautiful cake. I even dreamed about the cake leading up to the wedding. The pink champagne flavor is to die for. She also makes sure that you have a fresh cake topper on your 1 year wedding anniversary so you don't have to eat nasty freezer fridge cake (hallelujah!). I was a bit greedy and asked my wedding planner to set aside two pieces of each different flavor for my husband and I to eat after the wedding and it was just as delicious after we left it in our freezer during the honeymoon. Thank you so much Tammy, you and Tina were wonderful and my family loves you guys! Any more special occasions and I'll be coming straight to you!

I never knew I could love cake as much as I loved my wedding cake. Pink champagne with strawberry preserve filling and buttercream frosting. We also had an delicious and gorgeous display of assorted mini desserts. Tammy gives you very accurate guidelines on how much to buy and doesn't try to up-sell you.

Tammy is such a sweet and caring lady. You can really tell she puts her heart into whatever she makes. We got our wedding cake from her as well as a few items to create a dessert table. The cake was delicious! We loved the chocolate peanutbutter combo. The other desserts were a huge hit too (gone before the cake cutting, actually). She helped to make our cake a personalized work of art, even including our fur baby, that couldn't be physically present, on the cake. After our first venue flooded due to hurricane Florence Tammy and her crew were so helpful and encouraging when we were in the process of finding a new venue. Overall, we think the cake was the easiest choice because of Creative Cake Designs and we highly recommend Tammy to anyone wanting a custom cake, with some extra love baked in!

We loved working with Tammy!!! We came to her with our ideas and visions for the perfect wedding cake, and she made us a beautiful cake beyond our best hopes and dreams! Hurricane Florence hit Wilmington one week before our wedding and Tammy did everything she could to make our day (and wedding cake) perfect! Our guests are still talking about how beautiful and equally delicious our cake was! Bonus points for delicious vanilla and pink champagne flavors!!! Thank you Tammy!!!!!

Tammy was great to work with. She was super accommodating. Our cake and dessert buffet was super tasty and beautiful! The banana pudding shooters and key lime cake pops are life.

We hired Tammy to create our wedding cake and were thoroughly pleased with her creation. She created a 3-tier cake inspired from a picture I had shown her and used a piece of ribbon matching my theme colors to create the perfect shade of icing. Each layer was a different flavor and each flavor was DELICIOUS. It was a gorgeous cake and I cannot thank her enough for it. Tammy was wonderful to work with from the beginning. She is easy to get in contact with and is attentive to detail making sure she creates the perfect cake for your event.

Tammy and her team were AMAZING!! We met with her before hand for a private tasting and then decided on flavors during our meeting. They also have a partnership with Middle of the Island who will help transport her display stands back to her after the wedding if MOI is also being used for your event. Tammy is so talented and we were so pleased with how well the cupcakes turned out! She has so many flavors to choose from and is easy to work with! She even made personalized cupcakes for us with a groom & bride cupcake. We are certainly looking forward to celebrating our one year anniversary with a free cake from Tammy!

From the delicious wedding cake to Tammy herself, everything was perfectly sweet! Tammy made the wedding cake process very easy and painfree! She was so helpful in the design process and I loved that having different flavors didn't add to the cost!! We had 4 flavors: confetti, keylime, strawberry champagne, and chocolate. Everyone LOVED it and I was so happy we had a few leftovers to eat after the wedding was done. The cake was beautiful and more importantly delicious! Thank you so much Tammy!

Wow!! Creative Cake Design by Tammy Hodge was a true blessing. We opted for a 6" cheesecake instead of a traditional wedding cake, and it was unbelievably good. We also went with a dessert bar to give our guests options. We had a variety of cupcakes, mini pies, mini cheesecakes, cookies, and even banana pudding cups. Everything was beyond delicious. Our guests gobbled up the treats and raved abut how wonderful everything was. Tammy and her crew reached out several times before the wedding to ensure that we would be getting everything we asked for. We are so lucky we got to have Creative Cake Design by Tammy Hodge work with us for our wedding!

WOW is all I can say. She took all of our ideas and portrayed them BEAUTIFULLY. 5 star taste and 5 star design. Blown away

Tammy is the best! She is so sweet, her cakes are DELICIOUS in addition to beautiful and she's very affordable. I still can't believe everything she provided for such a reasonable price. Her other desserts are wonderful as well, she can do anything. Definitely use her!

Tammy is hands down the fastest and most responsive person in the wedding industry! Her baking skills are awesome and her decorative skills are as well! I had a general idea of what I wanted my wedding cake to look like, but I mostly just trusted Tammy to take the reins and go with it. Our cake turned out perfect! So simple and beautiful. Tammy was super easy to work with and very patient with my last minute changes and indecisiveness! We had several compliments from our guests on our cake as well! We can’t thank Tammy enough for all of her hard work and being a part of our favorite day!

We loved working with Tammy and her team for our wedding! They are very flexible, can do whatever you want, and can help give suggestions for flower pairing etc. The displays they used worked perfectly. Just a couple quick phone calls since we are out of town and we had everything set up. They also offer a free anniversary cake which is exciting :) We did the mini cupcakes, cake pops, mini pies, and mini cheesecake and everything got eaten up. Thanks, Tammy!

Tammy and her staff are so amazing! We had a 3 tier ombre cake. It was so delicious! She is quick to respond to emails and is so patient. Thank you for making our day magical!

Tammy and her staff were great to work with, and we are so happy with how all the desserts turned out!!! We did a dessert bar of: a two tier cake (basically a giant strawberry shortcake), banana pudding cups, cheesecake bites, cake pops, and cupcakes. Everything was AMAZING! It all looked so beautiful and tasted even better! They also did "groom's cake" cupcakes for our rehearsal dinner.

I went to Ms. Hodge with a cake concept in mind. She took the picture I showed her and made it her own. It was so much more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! The details in the cake were incredible. We did not want to eat it. Throughout the whole process the personal care and attention were incredible. Ms. Hodge and Jennifer, her assistant, answered tons of questions, between my mother and I, a lot of it was our own confusion, with so much kindness and patience, I honestly do not know how we did not drive them crazy! We had a wonderful experience and we are so so glad we chose Tammy Hodge and Creative Cake design. We could not be happier and we cannot wait for our 1 year anniversary cake, if nothing else then to to just see Ms. Hodge again! Thank you for the beauty you gave to our wedding!

Tammy was great from the very beginning! We met with her for a cake tasting and left very impressed! The cake was delicious and she focused on us and tried to get a good idea of what we wanted and what would be best for our venue! I gave her a few photos of what I had in mind and she created something beautiful! We decided to go with 2 tier cake and cupcakes! The finished product was beyond my expectations! Beautiful and delicious!!! Everyone loved it! Best part is that we get a free anniversary cake! Only regret is that I didn't get to eat much cake on my wedding day-I was too nervous and excited to eat more than a few bites! Thankfully my parents saved me and my husband cupcakes and we devoured them after our honeymoon!! Will order another cake from her again! Also, the most reasonably priced around town!

Tammy baked mini cupcakes for our wedding. We chose four different flavors and she arranged them on a display that looked like a large wedding cake. We had a cake topper for us to slice that was decorated with our monogram. All of the cake flavors were delicious and were small enough that you didn't feel guilty to try all four flavors! Tammy and her team were a pleasure to work with and I would recommend them for any of your "sweet" needs!

We were referred to CCD by MANY people, including another baker, and had read all the great reviews, we had our tasting and it was out of this world! I was so excited for the cupcakes! Until the wedding. Some were slightly burnt on the bottoms, all four flavors were extremely dry, and some cupcakes were only an inch high! We were told we would have two cupcakes for the top (since we didn't do a topper cake) that would be designated for a bride and groom- we didn't get those. We ordered 130 cupcakes and we were told they would make an extra two dozen since some people would have more than one- we counted 132 cupcakes. How embarrassing to tell a bunch of our guest how excited we were about how great these cupcakes were then find out they were horrible.

I met Tammy at a local bridal show and instantly knew she was going to be our cake vendor based on her bubbly personality! Then I sampled her signature key lime cupcakes and I was sold! She never once pressured us during the process and sincerely wanted to do everything that WE wanted for our special day. She even went as far to experiment with pecan pie recipes (my husband's favorite) for our tasting since she knew we wanted a dessert bar with cupcakes and pies. We selected that along with the key lime cupcakes with toasted coconut, blueberry swirl and chocolate and raspberry. We always had a quick response from Tammy or her assistant if we had questions or concerns, and even when there was a slight misunderstanding with our order, she went above and beyond to remedy it. Very customer oriented and very budget friendly. We can't wait for our one year anniversary so we can get our free topper cake from Creative Cakes!

Tammy does such a great job and applies so much detail to the cakes she makes. She even through in a last minute birthday cake for my niece. Everyone loved the cake and we really enjoyed it the next day. I love that she makes a cake for your anniversary so that you do not have to save the top layer. Great idea!!

Tammy and her staff were so amazing to work with. They were so helpful in assisting me in the decisions. The cake was gorgeous, the grooms cake was perfect and more importantly it was delicious!! Tammy's cakes are so unique in quality and taste and everyone loved them!! We live out of town and Tammy still worked us in so that we could taste the cakes and talk with her about the design we wanted. I highly recommend Tammy!!

We reached out to Tammy about doing our wedding cake. We didn't have a lot of money to put into the desserts but did want a wedding cake of some sort to be present. After meeting with Tammy for our free tasting (which everything was amazing so it was hard to choose!) we decided to do fall flavored cupcakes like red velvet, buttercream, etc... along with a 4 tier cake. Her pricing is very reasonable. She arrived on time and we had no problems. She does book fast! So call her today! You will easily be able to check desserts off your list without another worry!

Tammy was very friendly and easy to work with. Always very responsive to phone calls and emails. Cake balls and buckeyes tasted great, cupcakes were pretty dry. Display was okay, along with cake topper, but I didn't have many to work with.

Tammy is so nice and accomodating. Our cake was gorgeous and delicious. I had a fall wedding and one tier was pumpkin with maple cream filling, the second tier was chocolate with peanut butter chocolate mousse, and the top tier was almond cake with homemade strawberry preserves. Decadent!! And great price!!

Our experience with Creative Cake Design was wonderful. Tammy and her team were all so friendly, and very prompt in correspondence with my husband and I as we made our wedding plans. For our tasting, Tammy welcomed us into her home and allowed us to taste several combinations of cake and frosting flavors, which was great. She was so flexible in allowing us to have 5 different flavors of cupcakes! The pricing was fantastic, and she included the use of a tier stand for the cupcakes as well. The cupcakes looked and tasted wonderful, and were quickly eaten up by our guests!

Met this lady at a bridal expo in Wilmington - her sample cake pops were the best of any at the expo and we were in awe of her low prices. Took a chance on this gal who works out of her home, and were so very pleased with the results. She will design whatever you wish and offer suggestions if you are clueless. Her red velvet cakes and butter cream icing are to die for. This lady is definitely the best kept secret for cakes in Wilmington! A must!
