Creative Cakes by Donna

beautiful!

e so many that were delicious and the pairings in the sampler led us to a cake we probably would've never chosen otherwise. We ended up with red velvet, Bavarian cream and heath bar filling, with cream cheese-buttercream frosting. It was phenomenal! The cake was so fresh, the frosting was the perfect level of sweet and creamy. Red didn't go with my "theme" (otherwise I considered cupcakes)...but pick the cake you want and that feels most authentic to you! We sent over a handful of inspo pics and asked for "minimalist lambeth" and it was simple and beautiful! Soo delicious, we ate 2/3 of our take home cake before freezing a slice for next year :)

aying that it was the best cake they have ever had. Cannot recommend enough and we cannot wait to enjoy another slice next year on our anniversary!! Thank you so much!!

ake from. Creative Cakes by Donna was amazing to work with, they were quick on communication and they made sure the cake was everything we wanted it to be.

ook the time to meet with me to understand exactly what I envisioned. Paula had wonderful recommendations, even down to recommending that we use a lavender tablecloth for the cake table to make the lavender elements on our cake stand out. I appreciated her expertise. The cake was delicious, we loved our lemon cake with raspberry mousse filling with buttercream frosting. Creative Cakes by Donna does an amazing job!

nd not only did it look beautiful, but it tasted absolutely incredible. To this day, our guests are still talking about how delicious the cake was, which says everything. It was one of those standout details that people genuinely remember, and we find ourselves still dreaming about it! If you’re looking for a bakery that can bring your vision to life while delivering something truly unforgettable in taste, we cannot recommend Cakes by Donna enough. They were such a special part of our day!

ith raspberry cream filling and raspberry jelly filling. The fillings weren’t too sweet which we liked. I would definitely recommend them for your wedding cake!

e Cakes by Donna truly takes the cake when it comes to wedding cakes (pun absolutely intended!). Any flavor you choose is guaranteed to taste like a real cake- like the one your mom bakes for your birthday. You can feel the love, nostalgia, and sugary goodness in every bite. We had guests going back for seconds and even thirds, all declaring it was one of the best cakes they’d ever had! Even more importantly, the team was amazing to work with: prompt, detail-oriented, and incredibly creative. They made this part of the process completely seamless, and we only wish we lived closer to Hartford so we could order their cakes more regularly. Look no further than Creative Cakes by Donna when searching for a wedding cake - they are guaranteed to be a crowd favorite!

was the perfect centerpiece for our day. Furthermore, the subtle flavors blended flawlessly and tasted delicious!! Each bite exhibited the care and magic that was put into creating such a masterpiece and we are deeply grateful for her artistry and kindness that will forever be a part of our memories.

t came to choosing the perfect flavors, especially considering both my husband and I have gluten intolerance. Her knowledge and care made the process easy and stress-free. The cake itself was delicious — moist with just the right balance of flavors. The combination of berries and chocolate was perfect and delighted all of our guests. We wanted a simple cake that matched our wedding theme and reflected our personalities, and Paula nailed it perfectly. A special touch that made the cake even more meaningful was how it incorporated my husband’s woodworking hobby. The beautiful flowers on the cake were wood, and the wooden slab the cake rested on was hand-cut by him. It was such a unique and personal detail that really made the cake stand out. Throughout the entire process, Paula was patient, kind, and attentive, always making sure we were happy and comfortable with every decision. I can’t recommend her enough to anyone looking for a delicious, beautiful, and thoughtfully made wedding cake!

delicious. Paula was great with communication, professional and helpful! She really made me feel like the special day was important to her to. 10/10 highly recommend!

st they give you a sample box of their most popular cakes, which made for a fun tasting experience. They let you mix or match fillings and work with you to fulfill your specific vision. I had a specific vision for a magnolia-themed cake, so this involved some special orders that Paula was able to fulfill. On the day itself, I was trying to keep my expectations low because a delicious small cake might not scale up well, but omg, it was perfect. Beautifully decorated, super moist, and the filling combo we chose turned out beautifully. They also send you a mini cake for freezing and eating later. If you are fortunate enough to have them with your venue you won't need to look elsewhere*! If you are considering them, also don't hesitate!!!! *I don't have any experience with how they handle dietary restrictions, we didn't have any for our cake.

. and all of our guests raved about it! We sent inspiration pictures to Donna and the cake design turned out exactly as we had envisioned!

ier. We ended up going with cupcakes which were fun because we got to choose 3 different kinds, and Donna was really helpful with giving advice about what worked nicely with others and was honest if she didn't think my pairings didn't work best which I truly appreciate. We ended up doing the almond flavor for our cake topper and it was so good!

of the venue’s preferred vendors and you can tell why from the taste of the cake and the process that went into getting it made. She gave us plenty of options to choose from. The cake tasting was a lot of fun. She gave us several different cake and filling flavors to take home and try. Everything was customizable and delicious. We had an almond cake with raspberry buttercream filling and pearl encrusted designs on it and the cake was executed exactly as we envisioned and was delicious! Blazing Fresh Donuts Jodi was a gem to work with! She was open about what types of donuts would be a good fit for a large event. Her and her staff made 120 donuts fresh and packaged them individually to be used as wedding favors. They were delivered right on time with no issues. If you’ve ever had Blazing Fresh Donuts you know they are as good as any donuts anywhere. If you haven’t had Blazing Fresh Donuts, you should check them out. They are phenomenal. Our guests loved them as much as we already did!
