Being that this was a wedding, there is no do-overs, or run it backs. At the end of the day, the cherished memories were lost along with $900.00 to this company with no empathy or refund!

You where in attendance because YOU where paid to do a service. The couple was not hiring a guest they hired a photographer to do a job and you FAILED MISERABLY!! Sophia refused to refund their money and then blocked the couple and refused to talk with them. Not to mention when they were able to speak with her she was rude, lacked empathy, and took no accountability for the situation. Another one of Sophia's excuse was that the couple was one of eleven people that is effected by this. As a professional photographer that she claims to be. Why would you do so many shoots on one disk/file/SIM card. This has happened in the past so I'm lead to believe this is just her work ethic. To not even offer up an apology is very telling of her character. As a African American you try and support a black business but this is one of the very reasons you can't support some black businesses! I hope anyone reading this review would think very carefully before using this business in the future. No other couple deserves to go through this!

After taking what she claimed to be "600+" photos, when it was time to deliver she only delivered 10% of the total amount. In addition to that, she then claimed that the files were corrupted and could no longer be accessed. But based on previous reviews, this isn't the first time she's "lost" wedding photos (see review from 11 months ago). Now here's the kicker, instead of refunding the newly wedded couple the ENTIRE amount they paid her (which was over $1,000) she is only refunding $200. And has since blocked the couple and refuses to be an professional business woman and further assist. If I had to recommend a pile of dog sh*t, Id do so before recommending someone so unpleasant, and unprofessional.

She since then we have only communicated with her "Assistant" who seemed to know nothing about her contract outside of what she told him to say to us while offering the $200.00. The assistant said himself that he told Sophia to give us our money back which all she continue to make mention to is HER TIME. So you would only be dealing with someone who cares more about her time then the job she was paid to do and the memories she was paid to capture. INDEMNIFICATION Section 4:2 of her contract states: "If photographer is unable to perform the services in this contract due to any cause outside its control. client agrees to indemnify photographer for any loss damages or Liability: however, PHOTOGRAPHER will return in full all payments made by CLIENT to PHOTOGRAPHER in relation to this SHOOT" So losing files doen't fall under "Her Control" no back up system? No extra Sim Card? No Hard Drive? She claims she gave us 70 edited photos which she picked out no us. What she stated was the best photos she picked to edit. No to mention she said she took over 630+ photos of our wedding. We do not get to review those photos nor pick which ones we wanted edited. It was not in the contract that the PHOTOGRAPHER picks the photos to edit. So no that was not a clause met in your contract with us. The video that is suppose to be 4-5 minutes was only 3 minutes and 7 seconds and was very blurry and the transitions were horrible. AS FAR AS HER COMPUTER BEING FROZEN SOPHIA SENT ME A SCREENSHOOT OF HER COMPUTER SCREEN DATE WEDNESDAY 11:09AM OF HER TRYING TO PROVE SHE PROVIDED EDITED PHOTOS WHICH SHE SELECTED NOT US. WE HAVE NO EDITED PHOTOS OF US AFTER CEREMONY POSING, WE HAVE NO GROUP PICTURES WITH OUR WEDDING PARTY OR PARENTS OR GRANDPARENTS. SO SOPHIA COMPUTER WAS FROZEN SHE LOST OUR PHOTOS! 630+ MEMORIES GONE WHICH WE CAN'T GET BACK OR RELIVE BUT SHE DOES NOT FEEL SHE OWE US A FULL REFUND. We did not assist Sophia in losing our photos but she holds firm to wanting to be paid for her time. Since all of this Sophia has blocked me and my wife. She refused to act like a Business Professional and have an ADULT conversation and wants to give attitude like she isn't the one in the wrong. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOU BOOK A SHOOT WITH SOPHIA BASED ON HER PROFESSIONALISM AND SKILL. This has happened to previous clients of hers check the Yelp reviews.
