Alicia with Creative Confections created our wedding cake and she was outstanding throughout the process of creating the cake and the final product turned out exactly how we had pictured it! In our meeting with Alicia, we had initial flavors that we were looking at getting, but she helped guide us in finding what combinations would taste the best. We had developed a rough draft with her on what we would like our cake to look like, but about a month out we had decided we wanted to go a different route with the design to honor the brides grandmother who passed away unexpectedly and Alicia had no problem with accommodating our request and the cake was absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out. All of our guests complimented our wedding cake and the flavors we chose, especially the red velvet and almond/amaretto layers. Our guests and vendors said it was the best wedding cake they have ever had!
Alicia made our wedding cake and it was both beautiful and delicious! She was so sweet throughout the tasting and designing process, and we will definitely order from her again for future special events.
Alicia is an artist! Her cakes are beautiful and taste delicious. Alicia made the cake for my daughter’s baby shower, graduation, bridal shower, and this past weekend for her wedding. Time sure does fly. You can trust Alicia to make the perfect cake for any occasion. Thank you for being a part of so many memories!
Alicia made a cake and cupcakes for our June 2019 wedding and everything was delicious and beautiful! Alicia is easy to work with and makes excellent cakes. The design and beauty of the cupcakes and cake was second only to the great taste!
Alicia was AWESOME! Her cakes are beautiful and delicious! I had her cakes as my centerpieces on the guest tables (40 total). Each and every one was different and absolutely stunning. People were talking about it for weeks after! Highly, highly recommend!
I am not a cake person at all. However, I love cakes from Alicia. They are so moist! She has a lot of flavors to choose from so there is something for everyone. The snickerdoodle is my favorite! I asked her to make a Cheesehead for the grooms cake and it turned out perfect! It looked like the real thing! We had a lot of compliments on both of the cakes.
We know Alicia personally, and that is originally why we chose to use her for our cake. But, I'm glad that we did because it was amazing! The cake was delicious and beautiful too! Maybe a tad bit pricey, but most cake places are! We had some sheet cake left and I brought some to work and everyone raved about how good it tasted. We also had a pretty specialized groom's cake, and it looked great! Nice people and amazing cake! Highly recommended!
The cake was perfect. It was exactly what we asked for and it was delicious. The service was less than stellar. It was hard to get in touch with Alicia. She changed her mind about meeting dates often and answered emails less than frequently. The lack of communication was frustrating, but if you can get past that, her product is amazing.
We had cake to serve 275, with our main cake being 4 circular tiers. Many choices for flavors and fillings, but excellent red velvet that is hard to find. Amazing buttercream frosting and very moist. I've heard the anniversary cake freezes well too. Bakery is in her basement of her home. A little difficult to hear back from at times, but she has come through for many of my friends and now me!
Creative Confections was amazing to work with. They were able to do exactly what I had wanted and were a great price. The cake tasted wonderful.
Alicia made our cake, and it was delicious! She does beautiful decoration, wonderful baking, and its much more affordable than a bakery! She is easy to work with and make changes with (we had to change our head count 5 times before the final cake and she adjusted it for us each time and gave me our options!)
I have a dairy allergy and she worked with us to make a cake that was beautiful, delicious, and dairy-free. The design was simply elegant, and she can do some amazing decoration if that is what you want. I loved that all my guests thought the cake was amazing, and most had no idea that it was dairy-free.;Brooklyn is a bit of a drive from Madison, but well worth the effort!

The cake was great! Alicia did a wonderful job. The cake was delicious and beautifully decorated. We didn't have as many guests as we were expecting and Alica helped us change the size of our cake closer to the wedding which we really appreciated.;Initially it was hard to schedule an appointment to meet with Alicia but once we did everything worked out great. We had a tight schedule so she gave us 3 sample cakes which were amazing.
She did a nice job. She duplicated the photo we brought her almost perfectly. The cake was delicious. Even our frozen cake for our anniversary was wonderful.;She was not the friendliest vendor we dealt with. The color on the cake did not match the swatch I gave her.
Creative Confections creats both beautiful and delicious cakes. I had both a wedding cake and a grooms cake made. Both were perfect. We received many compliments from our guests on the appearance and taste of the cake. The price is also very reasonable for the quality of cake. The talents of the baker Alicia are truly endless. She was very creative and versatile.;At times communicating with the baker Alicia wasn't always quick. I mostly communicated through e-mail and sometimes it would take days or weeks for her to reply to my e-mails. This didn't impact me that much because I started planning with plenty of time ahead of me. Don't wait until the last minute to design your cake. This will make sure you are not rushed. One suggestion I would have is to think about booking Alicia as soon as possible. Her delicious and beautiful cakes make her very popular and she tends to book weddings fast.
