DO NOT BOOK! I contacted Crème de la Crème Trolley in April 2015 about using their services for our wedding in October 2015.
They sent me our contract via email and requested that I fill out any outstanding information and send it back to them with our deposit amount. I did so within a couple days and received confirmation from them stating they had received the contract and payment and were looking forward to working with us for our wedding in October.
Last week I emailed them a couple questions I had and after a couple days this is the email I received back from them:
We regretfully have discovered that due to circumstances beyond our control we will be unable to provide services to your upcoming event. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you. We will refund all amounts paid within 45 days.
Regards,
Ohio Trolley Team
I have emailed them regarding my concern as to why it will be 45 days until I am refunded my money for the cancellation that was in no way my fault, but have not received a response.
DO NOT BOOK. This place is a scam! We booked with them and sent in our deposit 7 months before my wedding, but as the wedding got closer and it was time to figure out the details, this company was conveniently unavailable. We sent at least 5-6 emails, and left just as many voicemails, until their inbox became full...all unreturned. Frantic, and 2 weeks before my wedding, my mother called the other Trolley company in Columbus, only to hear that we were "the 15th caller with the same story" and that we were most likely being scammed. We are last minute (now 10 days before my wedding) trying to find transportation for the bridal party, and it's been a huge stress and disaster. We have yet to hear anything back from this company, but count ourselves lucky that we did not send in the entire rental amount, as we have heard others did, and lost all of their money. Avoid at all costs, would not wish this last minute stress on anyone, it is a scam and we have reported to the Better Business Bureau.
We reserved this service and are glad we did! We liked that this trolley actually has room between the seats so guests are not cramped and the trolley itself is roomy. They were nice and the trolley was prompt and the driver was great. The office person was knowledgeable and kept us informed throughout the entire process. They provided alerts to us so that we could let the guests know about the shuttle during and after the reception. Highly recommended!
We contacted several vendors and initially had trouble getting any follow up from our contacts. This company, however, followed up immediately and answered all our questions so selecting them was easy. We did check reviews and most of the responses are positive and the negative ones we were told to be redundant. We were informed that there were several posts from the same upset person. The company did contact us after to send a small thank you gift and we thought it was nice. We didn't have any issues at all with the service or the trolley as we had a great time, the trolley was beautiful and look forward to using them again when I plan for my parent's anniversary party.
I am so glad I read these reviews as I am now seeing from others what I know to be the truth. This service is truly awful. My story is this: Wedding was supposed to be outside at Park of Roses. 95 degree weather and risk for rain the night before forced me to have the wedding at our reception hall. Since I paid for the time and distance with the ceremony at a different location and then it was all at the reception, we had extra miles we paid for that were still available for us to use. I decided to take the bridal party to the park before the rain hit for some pictures. We did our 'first look' there. When the trolley came, the air conditioning was broken. Imagine yourself in a bridal gown, in 95 deg. weather, just getting airbrushed makeup done, and stepping into a hot and humid trolley. I paid $650 for this service, but what else could I do? I already paid for it and had a timeline to meet! My bridesmaids brought on a bottle of wine, which none of the drivers said anything about. I was NEVER able to cool down going to my first look photos at the park, was sweating profusely, and it wasn't until after we got back to the reception hall that it was offered for a person to come fix it. Since the most important part of the trolley use was over, the offer was moot. Plus, my husband and I had picked out a gorgeous spot around the corner from the reception hall for a few more pictures as back up so we weren't standing around the reception hall after the ceremony and didn't want the concern of a technician on the trolley. In the process of going to this place, the driver tried to drive the trolley into a location she shouldn't have to park it. Apparently the bottom of the trolley was scraped on the driveway?? (I found out about this later). We took a few pictures and went back to the reception hall AROUND THE CORNER. We are not even talking a half mile away. The driver herself suggested I call the next day to get compensation for the lack of air conditioning, so naturally I did. I explained that it wasn't as advertised, no attempt was made to fix it when it mattered, and I really wanted $75 back. Similar to the other reviewer- certainly not even close to all of it. A little over 10% is what we are talking. They credited the account, but THEN, told me I actually OWED them more money because a bottle of wine was brought on, the driver went somewhere and damaged the bus when it wasn't on the original plan, and by the way... "you were late when you paid the final deposit, so now you actually owe us money." I was in shock. This was only mentioned because I called to request $75 for no air conditioning. I sent a very lengthy email voicing my disgust. Never heard back from anyone. I said I wasn't paying and to forget the refund. On Saturday, 11/29/14, 3 months after my wedding, Autum tells me she wants to help compensate for my poor experience after reviewing my event. She said she understood why I was upset, which is why she was contacting me. She asked about my wedding registry and I said it had been fulfilled but a gift card would be fine. Today, I received a $10 kitchen utensil that I already have 2 of. To me, it added insult to injury and provoked more anger that I had put to rest 3 months ago. How about an apology from the owner?! I asked for managerial contact info and "we don't give out his email." It's like he's the man behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz. I wish I had unlimited space. Just stay away!!
We arrived in style! I was one of the maids of honor and I was completely shocked when I saw the Trolley. Not only was it breath taking but, they provided drinks and snacks. The staff were so nice and dedicated to making my frieds day perfect! I will be using this service and would recommend this for anyone who wants to show up to an event in style.
The first trolley that delivered our wedding party was not supposed to be for us, but was subbing in for the original that was on its way. The second trolley arrived to take us back to the church, and started smoking and beginning to break down. After we exited from the ceremony, the trolley was not on the correct side of the church to pick us up and my husband and I had to walk around the building to get back in. The subbing trolley then came back and the driver did not seem pleased that she had to do so. They have also left sarcastic responses on reviews on weddingwire.com, which is not very professional to me.
Overall it was a very good experience. My emails and phone messages were returned promptly which was very helpful in the process. The trolley was beautiful and the driver was friendly. They did allow us a short day reservation which worked perfect for our budget. Thanks!!!
We had some issues with this company. Communication was good and the initial planning process was smooth. However, there were some concerns over the course of the wedding day and afterwards. The trolley picked up the wedding party promptly to take them for photos. That trolley was then swapped out for another because of some mechanical issues. The second trolley then returned the bridal party to the church for the ceremony but began smoking along the way. It was leaking antifreeze and was at some point again swapped out with the first trolley. The driver was apologetic and tried to rectify the situation.
Our major concern was that because the trolley was broken down the driver then did not pick the bride and groom up at the correct location for their exit from the church in front of all their guests after the receiving line/bubble tunnel. They had to continue walking around the corner of the church rather than have the trolley waiting for them upon their exit. Kind of anti-climactic.
Upon relaying this information to the vendor, we were told the company would "like to do something for us in good faith" although no offer was made. We then exchanged some phone messages and emails upon which we requested some financial compensation (we certainly did not ask for a full refund) and were finally told they could provide us with a Panera gift card for lunch. While kind enough, we felt that fell way short of what should have been offered. We were then told that "sorry, we tried talking with the owner and were unable to solve this difference of opinion." We asked for the name and phone number so we could contact the owner directly and now our emails and phone calls have gone unanswered. "In good faith" to me means "let's make this right" so our reputation is upheld and the customer provides a good recommendation. Neither seems to be the case here and I cannot "in good faith" recommend this vendor. Perhaps the vendor will reconsider. Technically, the transportation occurred but with some glitches. As stated, we were not requesting nor expecting a large refund...just some compensation since not all services were rendered satisfactorily.
We had some communication issues , the driver had an unknown number, we played phone tag with office prior to the wedding day and the trolley was waiting to pick up the groom and groomsmen at the wrong location. It was a lovely trolley however it would have been better if we were able to communicate with the driver or meet with someone in person prior to the wedding.
