Crescendo Amelia is a wedding big band based out of Jacksonville, FL and fronted by vocalists Reed Meyer and Marah Lovequist. Originally founded in 2013, these musicians were drawn together by their love for jazz, big bands, and swing. Inspired by the greats of the 1930s and ‘40s, they play the hits in all genres from 1920 to 2020. These experienced and dedicated professionals have performed at over 300 shows and know how to create an unrivaled celebration for your special day. Crescendo Amelia’s mission is to bring vibrant, engaging, and meaningful live music to events of all kinds. They accompany ceremonies as well as receptions, during which they will provide light jazz to welcome guests and usher you down the aisle. During the reception, they will pivot to lively and show-stopping songs that will have all your loved ones dancing late into the night. They can play all your favorites and customize their setlist to suit your tastes, wedding style, and preferences. Whether you’re looking for rock ‘n’ roll favorites, contemporary pop hits, or classics from the Jazz Age, this ensemble can do it all. For your big day, Crescendo Amelia offers a range of ensemble options. The traditional big band comes with 19 musicians or more, male and female vocalists, a full rhythm section, and a huge horn section. Other choices include a 14-piece and nine-piece variety band and a combination of smaller acts with up to seven accompanists. Whichever you choose, these entertainers will craft a spectacular wedding night that your guests will be talking about for years to come.
