About this vendor
Crescent Ballroom at Stubborn Brothers Brewery is a unique wedding venue located in Shawano, WI. Built in 1914, it was formerly a vaudeville theater with a large ballroom, and was lovingly renovated and transformed into a brewery in 2016. Its stylish interior perfectly blends historic charm with modern elegance to create the perfect wedding venue.
The owners of Stubborn Brothers Brewery spent three and a half years restoring the building to its former glory. They retained the ballroom's beautiful brickwork, original tin ceilings, and century-old maplewood flooring. The interior also features mahogany baseboard, exposed silver ductwork, and large windows for ample natural light. Modern light fixtures complement the natural light and add to the space's warm, welcoming ambiance. The ballroom can accommodate up to 210 guests, making it ideal for large celebrations, and the layout can be customized to your liking. Couples who hold their receptions here will be dancing in the same place sweethearts used to dance a hundred years ago. This beautiful space can also be used for exchanging vows, and get-ready rooms are available on-site for you to prepare for the day.
The Crescent Ballroom at Stubborn Brothers Brewery offers in-house catering and bar services, meaning you won't have to look elsewhere for a delicious reception meal. You and your guests will also be able to sample the wide selection of craft beers, brewed right there in the building. The dedicated staff can provide coordination services to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day, and servers will be on-hand to assist your guests. Event essentials such as tables, chairs, decor items, and a dance floor will be provided for you. The staff will even take care of setup and cleanup, so you can simply relax and enjoy your special day.

Everyone I worked with at stubborn brothers was polite, helpful, & kind. Amanda worked with us often with any questions I had and Caitlin was also super helpful day often with thin...
gs I needed day of! The staff as a whole was flexible & understanding not to mention we got constant compliments on the food and venue. Our day went smoothly thanks to the help of the whole staff at SB. I would recommend anyone to get married here they helped our dreams come true!
The wedding food was delicious (and we had a ton of feedback that guests felt the same way), the entire team/flow of everything was as seamless as it could have been. We had the op...
portunity to brew our own beer to serve at the wedding and that was a HIT!!! And so much fun for us to experience.
We are obsessed with the vibe, the beer, and the food. And the ballroom is EXACTLY what we were looking for.
Amanda- rockstar in assisting with plans and getting things prepped for the big day. Big thank you!
Aaron-rockstar for letting us be one of the last weddings to brew our own beer, it's an experience we will never forget. And ALSO, huge thank you to assisting us with the cherry rhubarb flavor.
Caitlin- ROCKSTARRRRRR for handling all of us and the vendors the day of. I actually would have lost my mind without you. You are a gem to the business.
Thank you again x1000000000! :) we will be back to visit, and will continue to support you by always keeping a stock of beer in our home.
We were really impressed with the staff during our rehearsal dinner and on the wedding day itself. Their coordination and support helped everything run smoothly, and we truly appre...
ciated their professionalism and attentiveness.
However, communication in the weeks leading up to the wedding, particularly with Amanda, was lacking. We felt unclear about what needed to be done and would have appreciated more proactive guidance.
One of the biggest disappointments was the wedding brew experience. We were excited about the idea of brewing our own beer for the big day, and while the learning process was fun, we were surprised and let down to find out on the wedding day that we wouldn’t actually be serving the beer we brewed. This should have been communicated clearly ahead of time.
Additionally, one of our entrees—the tenderloin tips—did not match what we had during the tasting. It lacked mushrooms and didn’t have the same flavor profile, which was a letdown.
Overall, while the day itself was beautiful and well-executed, clearer communication and consistency in expectations would have made the experience even better.
My husband and I would highly recommend having your wedding at Stubborn Brothers. It was truly the greatest day of our lives and we got so many compliments on how perfect the venue...
was!
I was a little concerned about fitting all our guests. We had 193 attend our reception, but everyone fit great. In fact it was perfect!
Words truly fall short when describing how thankful we are to the stubborn brothers staff! This venue is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is absolutely incredible. They are so helpful with everything!
This is a gorgeous place to have a wedding reception. I was incredibly happy with everything - staff, decor, food, bar, and beer. It's a classic industrial building with beautiful...
exposed brick, metal ceilings with crown molding, large tall windows, and wood floors. It has an upstairs/3rd floor ballroom, mezzanine/2nd floor with leather lounging couches, and downstairs/1st floor with long wood bar and stage. Staff were communicative, open to working with us, and easy to work with. We were able to get in, set-up and take down with ease. They let us be creative with decor, and create what we wanted. I got ready in the glamorous art decor bridal suite on site. I highly recommend renting the upstairs and downstairs, because having the whole place was phenomenal, and we got pictures that I will treasure forever, and know I would not have gotten anywhere else. Last, but by no means least, the Stubborn Brother's beer flavors we chose for the wedding were delicious. They have plenty of variety and guests loved it.
My wife and I got married at the Crescent Ballroom in October of 2021. Not only was the food, service, and venue absolutely outstanding, Aaron, the owner, treated us like family th...
roughout the entire process! One of the most unique and enjoyable experiences was our “Couple’s Brew Day”! This consisted of Krystell and I filling out a form of what beer we wanted, what the ABV should be, style, flavors, etc. and we actually got to brew it ourselves and serve it to our guests at the wedding!!!! We went to Shawano about a month before the wedding, hung out with Aaron and brewed some amazing beer we named “Labor of Love”! It’s such a fun experience that her an I are going to look back on and cherish for years and years!
I could not recommend Aaron, Caitlin, and his entire team at Stubborn Brothers enough. The second you tour the venue, I promise you, you will cancel all other venue tours immediately…. And you will absolutely not regret your decision when it comes time for your special day!
This place was awesome. We got to brew a beer just for our wedding with the owner, everything went smooth and they were very affordable compared to other places we found! Thank you...
for the amazing night and memories
