Crestview Lodge was the perfect place for our destination wedding! My husband and I were determined to have a 3-day wedding weekend and have our entire wedding party and their plus-ones stay with us. It was the most beautiful and intimate wedding ever. Our guests came from all over (Alaska, Florida, Maryland, and more) and we wanted to spend as much time with them as possible. Crestview was the ideal location for that "Colorado feel" and fit perfectly in our budget for 4 days / 3 nights.
Kate & Charles, the property managers, were a breeze to work with and answered all of my questions up-front. They were quick to respond to emails and promptly verified payment. We were allowed access earlier than anticipated (which is always great news for a wedding venue) and the lodge was incredibly clean and ready for us. Our guests enjoyed the hot tub, the kitchen, and the outdoors; they loved the lodge aesthetics and crisp mountain air.
We hosted all of the events at the lodge - the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony and reception, and a day-after party. As the bride and groom, we loved the primary suite and large getting-ready area for the bridal party. The groom's party got ready in the game room in the basement. There were plenty of comfy beds and bathrooms for all of the guests staying with us and for the guests joining during events. The venue was easy to get to from DIA and for guests staying nearby. I was so excited about the movie room and our wedding party used it as the "nap room!"
The weather did not behave (it was a particularly rainy summer in Colorado), so we had to shift from an outdoor ceremony and reception to all inside the venue. The bride, groom, officiant, and wedding party stood by the fireplace for the vows while the immediate family had a front-row seat. The other wedding guests looked down from the catwalk. Multiple guests have told me that they loved the birds-eye view! The Lodge didn't need much decoration to get the vibe I was hoping for and we used a lot of flameless candles to create the perfect intimate ceremony.
Kate and Charles and their team set up tables and chairs and worked with our wedding party to make sure all of our guests had a place of honor. We set up the food buffet-style in the kitchen and our guests had no complaints. The bride and groom sat at a sweetheart table near the large patio doors. We simply moved a table aside for the first dance. As guests finished their food, we cleared plates and tables and chairs to open the dance floor for the reception.
The day-after party was so laid back and the ideal "recovery day." The weather was better and so guests went for walks around the 13-acre property, played games outside and inside, and we had all the doors and windows open for that indoor/outdoor feel. We got to spend more time with all of the people who traveled so far to be with us.
Some logistics: we brought a lot of our own stuff to make our wedding what we wanted it to be and give our guests an ideal experience. We brought instructions for using the bathrooms (septic system), a few large speakers, microphones, flameless candles, glass goblets, fabric napkins, lawn games, and more. We did not hire a DJ so I curated and cut the music myself. We hired a TIPS-certified bartender for the wedding and reception. We purchased a medical oxygen machine because of the high elevation and SO many guests used it.
I can't wait to have an excuse to come back to Crestview Lodge & Ranch!
The Lodge at Crestview Ranch was the PERFECT wedding venue. The scenery in and of itself is beautiful, so there isn't much else you need to do to "wow" your guests. Cammie, the venue coordinator was very helpful along the way and always quick to answer any questions I had. Plus, you can't beat having your whole wedding party stay together in one house for the weekend. It makes setting up for the wedding much easier when you can do it over a couple days. Highly recommend!!
We were married at Crestview Ranch June 2019. We could not have imagined our wedding turning out better at any other location. We are from Illinois and actually booked the venue site unseen. We had toured other venues in the area but after going back home and researching online and found this place, we decided it would be perfect and we were right!!!! Cammie was so very helpful and a pleasure to work with. She is dedicated to helping the big day go off as best as she can and will ensure everything goes smooth. Since we were planning from 1,000 miles away it was especially assuring having Cammie in our corner to help in any way possible, particularly the days leading up to and the day of she was there to help set up and coordinate with vendors. The venue itself is just gorgeous, pictures do not do it justice. We had about 30 people sleeping in the lodge comfortably. It’s a perfect place to have an intimate venue to have a wedding. This was one of the main reasons we went with Crestview Ranch. If you’re looking for privacy on your big day then search no more. The pole barn in back is also gorgeous for the reception. The pond with the gazebo is a stunning spot for the ceremony and is perfect for beautiful photos. All of our guests loved the venue also.
The Perfect place for any event. Helped us with the entire event, and the venue is beautiful!
My husband and I got married on 8/11, and we had a fantastic experience at the lodge! We’ve always dreamed of getting married in the mountains, and we needed a venue that could accommodate 250 guests. The lodge was absolutely perfect. Cammie was also AMAZING. She’s extremely responsive, and she was so much help leading up to and on the big day. The location is spectacular and everyone had positive things to say about the venue. We loved that we were able to bring our own vendors, because it helped us customize our wedding to exactly what we wanted (and helped with some cost savings). My husband and I have friends and family scattered throughout the county, and everyone LOVED staying in the lodge. It was a blast having everyone together. We would recommend getting married here to absolutely anyone!
When we started planning our wedding, the highest priority was to find a place where family and friends could gather over the course of the entire weekend. CrestView was the perfect fit. We had a large, comfortable house for family to all stay together, complete flexibility to bring in whatever vendors we wanted all weekend, and a gorgeous setting that blew our guests away. We had our ceremony in the early afternoon, so there was plenty of time for guests to enjoy the property in the sunshine - including a herd of antelope that came by! - wind down dinner with a gorgeous sunset, and enjoy an afterparty by the bonfire. We also had dinner Friday night and brunch on Sunday so there were lots of chances for everyone to be together.
Cammie was very responsive to any questions about the property. I did have a wedding planner who handled many of the logistics, but Cammie was great at working with her to get everything done. The only hiccup was that we moved the location of the tent and had to mow tall weeds at the last minute (the ceremony site by the lake had already been cleared).
All in all, if you are looking for a beautiful setting where family and friends can gather, CrestView is a great choice!
My wife and had were married at the Crestview Ranch, and it was the perfect venue for our 3-day celebration. The Ranch allowed us to bring family and friends to one spectacularly beautiful location in the mountains, and after speaking with our guests it was clear that the venue was one of the key aspects that made our wedding truly stand out. Cammie, the ranch manager, was incredibly wonderful to work with. She let us tour the property several times, was prompt with communication throughout the months of planning, and helped us think through many of the details for our big weekend. The on-site barn was the perfect location for our 120 guests to eat dinner and dance, the house had plenty of space for 30 of our closest friends to spend the night on-site, the fire pit was stoked with wood, and the pond was fun to kayak in. I highly recommend the ranch as a wedding venue if you are looking for a "real Colorado experience" for your wedding.
