warm and welcoming, the venue was just what we were looking for, hotels right across the street and also adjacent to Barrington Brewery! Which if you haven’t been, has amazing food and great beer. We felt so confident in this decision that we canceled our other venue tours and put our deposit down the next day.
During the wedding planning process, Chelsea, (Gary’s daughter, manager and day of coordinator) was extremely organized, thorough and always prompt to answer any questions we had.
By the time we had our final wedding meeting with both Gary and Chelsea, we left feeling so much more at ease.
I walked in with many questions (I’m a very particular person) and by the end of our meeting, I didn’t have any left since they answered them so well.
Fast forward to our wedding day, it was perfect! However, without Chelsea, it would’ve had a few hiccups. She worked her magic and adjusted things on the fly. Her expertise in this area is remarkable. We seriously can’t speak highly enough about her. You’ll find her everywhere, serving, behind the bar during a rush, helping guests, the list never ends. Gary was also present the entire day and was a huge helping hand. We rented the shuttle extra time so our bridal party could get to photos, our friends had a blast with Gary and his jokes. Not to mention, the food was amazing! Our guests keep raving to us about it even three weeks later.
We then had our after party at Barrington Brewery. It was perfect! Our guests were able to walk right over once the reception ended, and kept the party going! Plus we had the Crissey Farm shuttle running until 1 am to get our guests back to where they were staying safely.
This father daughter duo is truly a dream team. My husband and I highly recommend Crissey Farm and can’t thank them enough for all they have done to make our special day that much more special!

tober 2020. In March of 2020, we paid our second deposit with great faith in Chelsea, Gary, and Crissey Farm. They were the most understanding, supportive people when we decided to postpone our celebration. No questions were asked other than what we wanted our new date to be. When the time came, Chelsea and Gary were organized, welcoming to new ideas and supportive. Anything we needed, they made happen. Clear communication, organization, and great leaders made for an incredibly smooth day.
While supporting us with Covid restrictions, they ensured we all had a memorable day and were happy. The food was hot, served quickly and delicious. I wish we had take home bags! Their bartender is top of the line and will make anything anyone requests. The room is simple, tasteful, and adapts to any decor you add to it. Gary himself picked up guests with the shuttle service and their nighttime driver was fantastic- she even waited for my husband to take the dogs out and return to the after party.
While Covid made planning a nightmare, Crissey Farm made our wedding celebration a dream. We had a gut feeling that Gary and Chelsea were good people when we went for a tour and we were right. If you want a beautiful, carefree day, consider Crissey Farm and you will not have any regrets!

expectations, and was extremely reasonably priced. Chelsea and Gary are excellent to work with, are very thoughtful and experienced, and responsive. Chelsea also serves as a great day-of coordinator, which was a huge help to us. We were able to host our welcome party and after party at Barrington Brewery, their other/attached location, which made for a lot of fun variety for the wedding weekend. There are a bunch of good hotels in walking distance, which reduces the complexities of shuttling guests back home after the wedding. Also ample overflow parking which makes it easy for guests to travel in from out of town and leave their car overnight if needed. Plenty of room to put up our 30x60 foot tent in the outdoor area for the ceremony. Staff was all extremely helpful, organized, and detail oriented. And to boot, its extremely reasonably priced for what it offers/the northeast region. Can't recommend them enough.

g, cake and day-of coordinator all coming as part of this package is INCREDIBLE. I didn't have to worry about tables, linens, chairs, hors d'oeuvres, the bar, everything was taken care of on site. They, having done this so many times, were able to make suggestions that truly enhanced our experiences and the experiences of the guests. It made everything SO easy.
Additionally, we had to reschedule twice because of Covid and honestly the process could not have been easier. They made themselves available for quick video calls where we picked new dates. They let us know what times were available and we just bumped ourselves down the line.
On top of all of this the professionalism lead to a perfectly executed day. I didn't have to worry about anything. Chelsea was there to handle the schedule and keep things moving and I just go to hang back, sip champagne, and show up when I was called for. It gave me freedom and flexibility to chat with all my guests and truly enjoy every single second of this celebration.
They made my wedding so easy that now, on the on the other side of it, I do not understand why people get stressed about weddings. I can not recommend them more.

perfect venue. The weather cooperated and we were able to have the ceremony outside, however the indoor option in front of the gorgeous stone fireplace brought such peace of mind. With 110 guests, I was concerned about feeling lost in the space. I needn’t worry as they created the most cozy and intimate reception with plenty of space for all or of guests to get their groove on. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The setup and breakdown of the decor went super smooth. Loved the finishing touches Chelsea put on the space after our rehearsal run through. The icing on the perfect venue cake was the attached brewery next door and how easy it was to shift our party there for the after party. Pool tables, jukebox, pizza and local beer was the perfect way to end our perfect day.

The food is wonderfully prepared, seasoned well and plentiful. Appetizers included delicious grilled vegetables, great assortment of cheeses and passed horsedouvers.
The prime rib, cooked in a variety of donenesses for every taste. Chicken marsala, flavorful and tender. Vegetable lasagna with a white sauce and vegetarian rice for our family with dietary requirements.
Wedding cake was delicious and they include a Viennese table.

estions. During rehearsal, Chelsea was incredibly supportive when I was struggling with the idea that our ceremony was most likely going to be indoors due to the weather. She told me that it was going to be amazing, no matter what--and she was absolutely right. We were married in front of the beautiful stone fireplace, with the fire going behind us. The whole event ran so smooth and I never had to worry about a thing. Chelsea handled EVERYTHING, from the timing of each activity to getting decorations placed properly. If there was any issue on the day of, I had no idea, because she dealt with everything. The food was delicious (especially the mashed potatoes!) and the guests were so surprised when the steamship roast made its way into the room! Gary was very flexible with our desire to have a sundae bar brought in from an outside vendor. The brewery next door was open for us after the wedding reception ended and a shuttle was provided to get our guests home safely. Together, Gary and Chelsea worked with us to truly give us a day we will never forget. The venue was rustic, warm and romantic and we would absolutely recommend Crissey Farm to anyone looking for the perfect place to have their wedding! Thank you Gary and Chelsea!

grassy area if you want to have your ceremony outside (which also works out great for yard games during the reception). They only do one wedding per day, which means their focus is on you and you alone for the entire event. And you don't feel rushed.
Chelsea and Gary have a very organized system to map out your day, which made the whole process practically stress-free. It was such a relief to have someone help create a timeline and make sure we stayed on track throughout the day.
The food was delicious! All night, guests were telling us how much they loved the food. And Chef Odil was an absolute pleasure to work with.
Having the brewery connected to the venue is awesome. Great beer during the reception, and we all went there afterward and had a blast.
The location is superb. There are lots of hotels and quaint bed and breakfasts nearby, so it was easy getting everyone around with a shuttle. Both Stockbridge and Great Barrington have lots of great restaurants and tourist attractions, which was perfect for our out-of-town guests.
Chelsea is very knowledgeable and was an excellent resource throughout the entire process. She had lots of recommendations for us. My favorite tip of hers was to take photos at nearby Naumkeag--it is absolutely gorgeous! We HIGHLY recommend Crissey Farm!

Even when our DJ couldn't show, Chelsea went above and beyond to help us with a replacement and even play our ceremony songs herself! . When I met with Chelsea and Gary to discuss my plan and vision they were just as excited as I was to make my wedding a surprise for the guests and they helped to make it happen. Gary and Chelsea were so nice and laid back and were quick to answer any questions. They also were great with giving great suggestions for things that did not even cross my mind when planning my wedding. The food during the cocktail hour, the dinner, the wedding cake, and the beer was all so delicious I am still getting compliments on how amazing it all truly was. Chef Odille does an amazing job with the food, and just like everyone else I encountered, was so nice and sweet. We had both our ceremony (outside) and reception there, both were beautiful and the property is very well taken care of.

My daughter's wedding reception was everything we had hoped for and then some. Gary and Chelsea were terrific to work with! We had many special requests and we never heard a "no". Every request was met with a positive response.

The chef also went the extra mile with the wedding cake. We had found a picture of a cake with a river of M&M's down the side of the cake (who doesn't love M&M's). She was able to replicate it and it was absolutely fabulous!! The guests loved it - not to mention the bride & groom.

Gary and Chelsea were always very quick to answer any questions leading up to our wedding and made us feel comfortable that our wedding day was in their hands. The option of having the ceremony on site (either outside or inside) was a huge plus. Although we wanted to have our ceremony outside we ended up inside because it was 94 and humid. Chelsea was great and made sure everything was set up inside for our guests only an hour and a half prior to the ceremony. She was very attentive and accommodating as to how we wanted everything set up by taking notes and double checking with me if she had any questions.
One of best parts was our final meeting when we sat down with Gary, Chelsea, and Odille to discuss how we wanted our day, they had the whole timeline ready to go and our menu. It meant a lot to have the chef sitting with as and know that she had reviewed what we had picked and had suggestions for some of our options. We had so many compliments on how great the food and beer was from the Brewery. We also loved the fact that the brewery was open for our guests to go over to after the reception had finished up. This gave us an opportunity to wind down and spend some more time with our friends and family after such a great night!
We also got a lot of compliments on how attentive Chelsea was to not only our needs, but our vendors and guests needs. Our wedding night was exactly what we had dreamed of with all the help of Crissey Farm and their fabulous staff! If we could do it all over again, we would! er worked with, and if you want your friends to be calling you after the wedding to tell you that they've never had better food at a wedding, then Crissey Farm is for you. From the first meeting with Gary, through all the long distance planning with Chelsea, until the last minute of the reception, we were provided with excellent customer service. What can I say about Chef Odille Carpenter - well, you won't find a better chef anywhere. The appetizers were amazing (we chose the antipasto platter and regional cheese display for our stationery apps - phenomenal. Passed appetizers of crab cakes were among the best I've ever tasted and the bruschetta was excellent). Everything was made from the freshest of ingredients. We chose the buffet option and that was also excellent. Our daughter did not want a traditional wedding cake so we opted for the dessert cart - all made by the chef. It was a beautiful evening and some of our guests were outside enjoying the evening. That didn't last long once the desserts were wheeled out. I have never seen a line form for desserts before. This chef, as I told Crissey Farm, is truly a pearl without price. Every single staff member we encountered was pleasant and extremely helpful. If you choose Crissey Farm, you will not be disappointed.

Our entire day- ceremony and reception- were at Crissey Farm, which I really recommend. It made the whole day very easy and was also nice for our guests (many of whom were coming from out of town) to just be at one spot. And it couldn't have been a prettier spot to be at! The venue itself is really pretty, both inside and out and was perfect for our small (85 person) wedding. We were lucky with a totally sunny Sunday and so the ceremony was outside (but if it was raining, they would have moved it inside and taken care of all those details.) It was nice to not have to worry at all about the weather for the ceremony...
The day of the wedding Chelsea was there the entire time until the end- she went over a few details to make sure things were all set at first, got us into place for the ceremony, and then generally just made sure things ran smoothly (which was such a relief to us!) Gary also was there throughout and helped with any announcements that needed to be made which was really nice.
The food was amazing- you can tell it is totally fresh and made with love by the chef (who we were able to meet with prior to the event). They were also really flexible with our menu ideas, as we wanted family-style seating/eating and it was pulled off perfectly. Our guests raved about the food and it seemed like there was plenty to go around. The desserts were AMAZING. We had a few pie flavors and just absolutely loved every flavor.
Everything about the day was simply amazing and we owe that to everyone at Crissey Farm! (We also can't wait to go back for some more of that pie and freshly whipped cream...)

scrambled to find a venue with our date open. It was pretty much a bride’s worst nightmare. In the end losing our original venue was the best thing that could have ever happened for us. Crissey Farm helped us have the most beautiful and perfect wedding imaginable. If I could go back and do it again, I would book Crissey Farm and never have a second thought.
We had the most amazing day and everything went perfectly, the venue and staff exceeded my expectations in every aspect of the day. There was no wait at the bar, the hors d'oeuvres and buffet were exceptional and our last minute decision to have Crissey Farm do a dessert buffet was a huge hit with our guests, so many of our guest commented that it was the best wedding food they had ever tasted. The staff was so attentive and friendly; Chelsea was available but never intrusive and was ready to save the day when our DJ forgot the father/daughter mother/son dances. bar, and cake. The owner, Gary Happ, was so welcoming and helpful; Chef Odille Carpenter is phenomenal; the staff is great; and the Berkshires backdrop is breathtaking! Great food, great people; you can't go wrong! I've heard such positive reactions from all of our guests. Everyone loved the food and the venue. We are so pleased with our decision to get married at Crissey Farm (it was the only place we looked at), and would recommend it to anyone looking for a down-to-earth, warm, and elegant setting.
