We did not hire a videographer and now we have a few videos that we can always look back on. He did this all on his own, and we did not even know about them until he told us the next day. All the guests loved the photobooth, which I think is a wedding necessity nowadays as another thing to entertain your guests. He was very professional and kept everything organized during introductions, but kept it fun for everyone at the same time.

In addition to making sure the night ran smoothly, they also offered support to my father who needed a pep talk after his father daughter dance and before the father of the bride speech. The price was affordable, the online wedding planner leading up to the event was easy to use, communication was clear and concise, and they added such an element of entertainment to our special day. owed up to the venue everything was already set up and organized with the staff. With just a short briefing, Dan had the rest of the wedding under control. The sound for the ceremony was crystal clear and set to a perfect volume. The music was right on time and exactly what we planned for. Mike and Dan were very diligent when making sure we had the exact version of the songs we chose for the entire wedding. Their wedding site allowed for us to customize each part of the day very easily and made us feel comfortable that everyone was on the same page. If your looking for a team that will handle all of your wedding needs and allow for you and your guests to celebrate one of the most important days of your lives then I recommend Critical Entertainment.

From the very first day that we contacted him to the wedding night, he was so responsive and promptly answered whatever we asked for. What we really like at most is that he does listen to you for what you request for. He tries to figure out what you expect, what you want or not. Another thing is that he treats you like you are the only customer of his. He makes you feel like he cares about your event more than you, which convinced us about how much he loves his job and professional he is. We totally felt like we were in good hands. He wanted us to choose some songs that we'd prefer to hear, and he managed the rest of the songs. Also, we picked some songs in another language which Mike is not even familiar with, but again he managed it so very well. Critical Entertainment was one of the best decisions my husband and I have ever made for our wedding. The music was great, and everybody loved the party. Our guests just cannot stop dancing. Thanks so much again to Critical Entertainment for making our wedding night so smooth and a bunch of fun.

They are both extremely knowledgeable in their field and we trusted them completely. On the actual day Dan could not have been more helpful. From setup to cues to checking in with me and helping us through each special piece of the reception. So many guests came to me to let me know we made an excellent choice for our DJ, not only with the music but with his fun, happy personality. We chose not to select specific songs to play for dancing but trusted Dan to choose for us based on what we told him we liked and EVERYONE loved the selection and had an amazing time. It was truly a perfect night with no hiccups and Critical Entertainment absolutely helped make that happen.

Cory. Whatever I asked for Cory made sure it happened. He makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera which was a huge thing for my husband and I. Both Cory and Mike are very attentive to details. Just what I had hoped for on my wedding day. Mike called the morning of my wedding to check in with me and to confirm things. I even asked for a few changes of music during that phone call. Amazingly, Mike made it happen. The specific songs I requested, played during cocktail hour just as I had asked and it was wonderful. Mike got everyone on the dance floor right from the start and kept them there the whole night. Our reception ran so smoothly because of Mike and Cory and I couldn’t be more thankful.

went to before and they were awesome! Including one where the couple only wanted '50's based music... seriously, it was a good time! I still don't know how Mike pulled that off! We knew he was good and that was very comforting. (2) The icing was everything being in one place! The photographer (Cory Talton Photography) came to our appointment and showed us a sampling of his work and it was PHENOMENAL! Cory does the photography and he came to meet with us during our initial meeting with Mike which saved a ton of time from having to meet with everyone individually. Add to that both of us felt instantly comfortable with Cory and really enjoyed his work. It was a great presentation! Critical Entertainment was one stop shopping and we LOVED that! We got the DJ, photography, photo booth (have to have the photo booth!!) and uplighting (trust me, you want it) all in one place on one invoice! That also meant everyone worked together and in unison. We had ZERO issues at our wedding (CT Wedding Group will get a separate review... they were phenomenal) but from the outdoor ceremony to the music, to the lighting, photography and Photo Booth it all went smoothly. Also, a BIG plus, we left with our Photo Booth album at the end of the night!! It was so nice to have something in hand to sit and look at the next day. I am truly over the moon with their services. The final piece which no one wants to mention but we certainly kept an eye on, is the budget. Critical Entertainment provided the MOST services at the BEST price and that was a huge bonus!!! Oh, did I mention the custom GOBO that they had made and shining on the wall... SPECTACULAR!! More than a few people told us that this was the best wedding they had gone to in a while! Awesome DJ, an on top of it photographer, Photo Booth and cigar roller = a wedding to brag about!! Our Pastor was awesome too but I will save that for another review... all easier on me. With the concerns of a wedding day and the anxiety of what can go wrong, Mike's "performance" was NEVER a worry and he truly didn't let us down! Cory got to the event early and lit up the room with his captivating personality and charming smile. I underestimated the importance of a photographers demeanor until he started snapping photos! Smiling and laughter was natural and constant with Cory behind the camera. I am still getting texts about how much fun he was! He undoubtedly loves what he does and in turn greatly contributed to creating the best night ever! And Mike, I can't say enough! He was professional, punctual and dead on for every song. Our guests were so excited he was on the dance floor leading line dances. The music and lighting will be talked about for years to come. I am still dancing around to the playlists he perfectly orchestrated. He was thoughtful and thinking on the spot of more ways to make our night special and memorable. An extra song dedicated to my mom, helping us with cake cutting, keeping our guests dancing and happy!! My husband and I are so pleased with Critical Entertainment and every service they offered and executed perfectly. Thank You Mike and Cory for everything!!!!!

borderline harassment, I had to endure after. My brother found Mike and Critical Entertainment by searching The Knot for local DJs for my and my husband to use for our wedding. We were pretty excited becasue the reviews were very positive. When we sat down with him, all he could talk about at first was how great his business was and all the awards he has gotten, which is great, everyone should be happy with their accomplishments. What irritated me right off the bat was that he used the fact that he had gotten all of those awards as an excuse that he didn't have to go tour our venue before day of. Now, if I was getting married in a typical wedding venue where everything is the same as others like it, that's one thing, but I was getting married at the Zoo. Completely different set up situation. He pretty much told me he didn't have to go before day of to look because he has looked at pictures...That didn't work for me. I asked if he could meet up with my wedding coordinator at the zoo so he could make sure he knew where he would be for our outside ceremony and our reception in the carousel building. He FINALLY went and it was a good thing too, because my wedding coordinator said there would have been an issue with set up otherwise. Also, they would send emails about trying to add-on stuff, like up lighting and things like that, I know that is usual because it is a business, but it just felt impersonal. The day of the wedding arrives, and he is there setting up. I was told by a few family members that he was incredibly rude to them and kept bragging about the places he had been before for weddings. Not the time, nor the place. Before the ceremony he comes and asks me questions, like if it would be ok if he could change after the ceremony, and other stuff he shouldn't have bothered the bride about. So, he was at my wedding ceremony in a t-shirt... The ceremony went beautifully. Everything was great, except he used the wrong version of the song I walked down the aisle with my dad. The reception was so much fun! We were all dancing, and everyone was having a good time! When it came time to cut the cake though, I felt rushed through it, he went so fast. The rest of the reception went great and everyone had so much fun! There were a few issues, but nothing too out of the ordinary. What really irritated me and why I took some stars away is the fact that, starting on the day of my wedding, I was emailed about leaving a review for him. I was emailed twice the day after my wedding about leaving a review, I was emailed twice 5 days after my wedding, when we were on our honeymoon, the day we came back from our honeymoon, he sent me a text about leaving him a review, and then I was emailed again about it. I do not appreciate that, I think it is tacky and very irritating. With all of the stuff I had to do when I came back from our honeymoon, reviewing our DJ was near the bottom. I definitely will be reviewing all of my vendors because our wedding so amazing, but it will take me a little while to get back into the swing of things. Again, he was great to use as a DJ, everyone will be on the dance floor, just be prepared to deal with his inflated ego.

Not only did we book our DJ, but we were also able to book our photography and videography (both were awesome to work with) through Mike and that saved us tremendous amounts of money and headache! Mike was always available throughout the process to answer any questions we had and responded within minutes of any inquiry. The day of the wedding, he did such an awesome job of overseeing everything from Ceremony to reception, start to finish. Our ceremony music was beautiful and guests could here what the Pastor and speakers were saying with the microphone he provided. He was able to read the crowd and play music the whole night to keep every age group happy and dancing. Throughout the night he kept checking in with us to make sure we were happy and if there was anything he could do for us. And he also was very interactive with our guests teaching them a couple choreographed dances that people of all ages really enjoyed learning/dancing too. We have been guests at many weddings over the years and that was something we have never seen a DJ do before. We have heard nothing but positive feedback from our guests that our DJ, Photographer, and Videographer were great and that they had a great time. Professional, respectful, and attentive to everything we requested and wanted. We honestly can't say enough positive things and were so happy we used Critical Entertainment and would gladly recommend them to any looking for a DJ.

were a disappointment. Everyone at our wedding kept saying how professional everyone was and how much time and effort was put into everything. Mike made our wedding, wedding of the century! His Djing skills are phenomenal. Even though we had to rush, Mike made it seem as if we weren't rushing at all. At the end of the night, everyone was super pleased with the results! If we had gone anywhere else with all of the services we used we would have been paying double what we paid. Critical Entertainment is very affordable and Mike will work with you to get the best package for you. I just want to thank Mike (DJ) and Cory (Photographer) very much. Without you guys I'm sure my night would not have gone as smoothly as it did and if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have done anything differently. You guys are the best!
