We fell in love with Crook Point the moment we discovered it and saw their photos, and decided to book the venue. Kathleen and her staff were very professional, answered all our questions promptly and worked with us patiently throughout the entire process. They have a list of high quality vendors that serve the area, so we felt at ease going with their recommendations. The wedding was a dream and I would highly recommend Crook Point!
There is no denying that Crook Point is a STUNNING venue. All of our guests commented on the beautiful location and our photos are GROGEOUS. So, if you are willing to put in the work/risk, it can really pay off. BUT, there are some real detractions from this venue: 1) They have NO RAIN PLAN! I signed up knowing this (so that's 100% on me) but it's just ridiculous for an Oregon venue. And they are so protective of their grass that when there was the possibility of rain even a day or two before our event they were saying they would have to relocate us to the gravel parking lot to protect the grass (which defeats the beauty of the venue!). 2) The venue is nothing except a venue - unlike many event spaces/wedding venues, they offer very little in terms of rentals or support staff. It is on you to get EVERYTHING and to set it all up/break it down/dispose of trash/etc. 3) Relatedly, the venue is pretty remote which means you will either pay a LOT to get vendors to travel and/or be limited in the vendors you can hire. When fires closed the roads out to the coast it complicated vendor issues even more - I had a vendor cancel day of cause they wouldn't travel the extra distance. 4) Management's communication leaves something to be desired. They were not the most responsive when I had questions and took over 2 months (and 6+ phone calls/emails!) to send us our deposit. But if you know what you are signing up for, you can have a beautiful event.
Words cannot capture what this magical place means to us after our recent wedding weekend. Not only are the views of this place just pure magic- from the ocean views to the canopies of the tall pines - but the Crook Point staff made planning our wedding easy and stress-free. I can safely say that the wedding we had - with a ceremony next to the crashing waves and a dance floor underneath the trees - would not have been possible anywhere else. We will treasure our time at Crook Point for the rest of our lives. If you’re flirting with the idea of having your event here - let us be the first to say - DO IT. You will not regret it. Thank you to the Crook family for sharing this beautiful place with us. Can’t thank you enough.
Crook point was a really wonderful venue. They helped us step by step with so many last minute details and helped us have a very successful wedding. They allowed us to come view and tour the property multiple times. They were very responsive to our questions and had lots of referrals for resources in the community. We had an unexpected rainstorm and catering crisis last minute and they went out of their way to help make sure we had all the right supplies to have a beautiful wedding. I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants to have a stunning natural outdoor wedding. We were so happy and our guest had a great time.
The entire process felt like we were planning with a family member. Every detail was well thought out and personal. The location, views, cleanliness, and comfort were beyond expectation. The partners they connected us with were an extension of that experience! Our daughter said, "It was my dream come true!"
We chose Crook Point for our wedding solely based on pictures (Since we didn't live nearby). It more than exceeded our expectations. As a venue it was beautiful, breathtaking, and brilliant.
Our wedding was on the main lawn, which has a view of Arch Rock. We also wanted pictures on a beach, and we were able to use the beach that was accessible through the rental homes.
One thing to note: All of our vendors required a travel fee because of the distance and some also charged extra due to an overnight stay. This is something to keep in the back of your mind, but Crook Point is well worth it. All of the vendors had great things to say about their interactions with the space. Crook Point provided a tent for the vendors and plenty of parking space.
The Crook's were easy to work with and flexible to our desires. If you are looking for a venue on the Oregon Coast, we would highly recommend Crook Point.
Kathleen being your main POC during the process is the most genuine vendor I’ve ever met! I wanted her to be at our wedding LoL.
Why I chose Crook Point:
Location: the views are breathtaking and unlike anything I’ve experienced in the US. I wanted our wedding weekend to be a huge family vacation and not just a single day celebration.
Housing on property: we rented out all homes on property to ensure we have an exclusive weekend with just our closest family and friends. From walks on the beach to bbqs at night, to the private jacuzzis at each home— it was amazing.
Venue @ arch rock main lawn: the venue itself is absolutely stunning and large enough to really build any vision you want into reality with the right team (I went with Your perfect bridesmaid). I think it’s important that you shop and hire with experience vendors due to it being a little more remote. Keep in mind the Crook point venue has their own inventory as well that you can rent which makes it convenient and stress free.
Kathleen: every time I spoke with Kathleen I felt like I was talking & visioning my wedding with my mom. She was such a pleasure to work with and truly sad to not be able to work with her now that we’re officially married! Kathleen is professional, punctual and always positive. Kathleen if you ever need anything from me or need help I’m always here for you. I know that this place is going to be the next Big Sur in no time. I’m thankful to have been apart of your journey into the wedding industry.
The best wedding venue and experience I’ve ever had & can say that all the guests agree. If you’re looking to share an experience with your loved ones and to truly make a wedding you’ll never forget, book here.
Xoxo,
Veronica & Jamie
One of my bridesmaids put it best. When she first walked onto the lawn at Crook Point her jaw dropped and she was like.. "Katy, how did you find this place. This is the most beautiful venue I've ever seen." Crook Point is just like that. It has a wow factor that was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I've been a wedding photographer for 10 years, and when it came to choosing my own wedding venue, I was extremely picky. But I only toured one place - and that was Crook Point. One I found it, I was sold. The lawn on the cliff overlooking the ocean, surrounded by ferns, forest, and beaches was exactly what I had been looking for. The fact they had beach houses that half my guests could stay in sealed the deal.
Crook Point is perfect if you want to have a large (or small) outdoor destination wedding at a stunning coastal location, without having to deal with much wind. The fact that we could have ocean views AND be surrounded by majestic trees and ferns with gorgeous PNW vibes was amazing. Kathleen and her family were great at communicating with us throughout the process, and I honestly felt like I made a new friend in the wedding industry when I met her.
I'm going to recommend this venue to all my couples in the future, and I'll recommend it to anyone who wants a wedding venue with stunning natural beauty that feels like an escape from everyday life and the rest of the world. Our entire weekend was perfect in every way and I will always be grateful that I found this place and that they hosted my friends and family so graciously and made everyone SO happy. Yes, it's a pretty new venue, but they won't let you down. It's amazing. See it for yourself.
Our wedding at Crook Point Vacations was a dream. We were married on the Arch Rock main lawn which easily accommodated our 80+ guests. The view was incredible! The actual venue looks like it came straight from a fairy tale: a lush green lawn, tall trees, gorgeous flowers, the ocean and of course the magnificent Arch Rock. It's the perfect mix of outdoorsy and elegant. You could do almost any theme at this location- rustic, modern, vintage, beach, etc..
Typical of the Oregon coast, our day started overcast with some light fog rolling in during the ceremony. This didn’t deterrer us one bit and the lighting made for some truly magical wedding photos. The fog and clouds burned off in time for our reception and we spent the rest of the evening dancing under the starry sky. We had a custom-made dancefloor surrounded by trees wrapped in twinkling lights and vintage crystal chandeliers draped above. The large lawn easily accommodated multiple large white canvas tents, about a dozen tables, a 10 foot bar, dancefloor, seating for the ceremony and ample room for the DJ- with plenty of room to spare!
Another great bonus of this location, Crook Point offers six ocean front vacation homes located on the same two mile stretch of property. We rented several of the homes for our traveling family and friends. It was so nice to have our loved ones all together and to spend our wedding weekend down at the beach. It was also very convenient that our guests didn’t have to travel too far after partaking in wedding festivities.
My husband and I stayed in the Honeymoon Cove House for a night before leaving for our honeymoon. Talk about an experience! This two-bedroom home is located down the road from the Arch Rock main lawn and is completely private (a private hot tub too!). This was a wonderfully romantic ending to our wedding celebration.
This is truly a one-of-a-kind place, in an incredibly beautiful, ocean front setting. I was very happy with our experience and I would definitely recommend this venue to searching brides and grooms. Book a tour and you'll see why.
