The Crooked K Ranch is located in Ennis, Montana. Just 40 minutes from both Bozeman and Big Sky. Less than an hour away from Yellowstone National Park.
The ranch has a massive professional-grade party tent that can fit up to 300 guests underneath, with the option to enclose the tent for winter months. You will have access to power for all uses (Speakers, Lights, Caterer Equipment, Anything). Have access to a dance floor. The property will also have a large 2-acre pond near the ceremony area and event tent.
The space also has dedicated fire pits with Adirondack chairs where you can sit and relax.
Since the venue is outdoors, it will come with 4 porta-potties for guests.
Worried about places to stay for guests? We have access to up to 60 newer campers to rent out. So, if guests do not have a camper or RV, we have you covered! Our 5 glamping tents are situated with views of the Madison Range; each has comfortable King beds, a covered deck, and Adirondack chairs. Perfect for enjoying the beauty and serenity of Mother Nature.
We have an extensive list of vendors to use at the property: photographers, videographers, caterers, bakers, hair stylists, makeup, florists, event planners, and everything in between!
An array of wedding packages has been curated to meet different budgets and needs. You may select the one that suits you best. An event planner will also be appointed to ensure all details, including setup, have been taken care of. Tables, chairs, event rentals, aisle runners, altars, and decor can be provided as well. This pet-friendly site also allows all your furry, feathered, four-legged friends to be part of this milestone. Additionally, you are more than welcome to hire and bring in outside vendors to make the wedding of your dreams a reality.

ny more couples misled by the beautiful—but highly misleading—presentation of Crooked K Ranch in Ennis, MT.
This venue is actively listed on several wedding platforms with stunning photos, claims of 65+ acres, river access, a luxury tent, glamping, and more. But after investigating and reading verified reviews—particularly one from July 2024—it’s clear that these features do not currently exist on the property.
The most concerning review comes from a bride who tried repeatedly to contact the owners, waited days between responses, and was ultimately ghosted. She was told the wife handles the venue on weekends but received no follow-through. Her texts were left on read or delivered with no reply. She later connected with another bride who experienced the same thing: no transparency, no infrastructure, and a complete mismatch between what’s advertised and what’s real.
According to her report and others I’ve come across in private forums, the venue photos shown online are not of the current property, and no actual weddings have taken place there to date. Despite marketing it as a dream venue with all the amenities, what’s actually there is just undeveloped land.
There are a handful of glowing reviews from early 2024, all posted within days of each other, which appear to be promotional in nature. Since then, silence. No new reviews, no real event photos, and no evidence that anyone has actually hosted a wedding on site.
To be clear, the couple behind this venue seems to be established photographers—and from what I can tell, very talented ones. But Crooked K Ranch appears to be in the “someday” phase, not the “ready now” reality it’s being sold as. If and when it’s complete, it could be wonderful. But advertising it as a functioning venue today is misleading and potentially harmful.
If you’re considering this venue, please ask for:
• Recent, on-site photos (not styled shoots from elsewhere)
• Confirmed testimonials from real weddings held there
• A tour or FaceTime walkthrough of the actual property
I’m sharing this not out of spite, but out of concern for others planning what should be a joyful, meaningful day. The experience described in the July 2024 review is painful to read—and I hope this helps someone avoid a similar situation.

alse advertising, at best. At this time, there is nothing within their listings or advertising even insinuating this venue isn’t functional. On top of that, they are not responsive. At all. I called and spoke with the husband and was told when to call back to speak with his wife (“who deals with the venue only on weekends”), to which I waited days for and left a voicemail. I called the next day… nothing, then got a text asking how they could help me, then I got left on Read. Then again texted and got left on Delivered. I got into touch with another bride interested in this venue, she shares the exact same heartache. This is marketed as the PERFECT venue, and it’s just simply not in existence. They are a very talented couple with their photography, and successful, so I don’t know why they’d risk their reputation leading people to believe they’ve got this amazing venue. I’ve never experienced a business (with already established businesses and ownership) that falsely advertises like this. I hope, for everybody’s sake, they do turn this into the real-deal because they’d make a serious killing doing it! But until then, they’re simply fabricating what they’ve got. Super disappointing.
