venue to getting married in 4 months, and the venue was never a stressor in our quick wedding planning period. Great atmosphere. More than enough room for dancing. Still plenty of seating for everyone even though it's cocktail-style. We have nothing but good things to say.

First - everyone who works at cross & orange is AMAZING. They were so nice and helpful leading up to the wedding, and then so efficient and fun day of. Ashley is worth calling out specifically - she is so fun and can run a great party while making it seem so easy. Second, the food is fantastic. I never used to have high expectations for wedding food, and Cross & Orange really raised the bar. Finally, the way they run weddings is so fun. Everything is smooth - from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dancing, to dinner. You get all of the food you could possibly want without having to take a break from the fun. Even those in the older generations who were a bit skeptical of it not being a “traditional” wedding were totally sold by the end of the night. I can’t say enough good things - and this review really doesn’t do the venue justice. If you want a wedding that people will be gushing about after, go see Cross & Orange.

They were also extremely flexible and were able to move our outdoor ceremony inside due to inclement weather with just over 24 hours notice. They executed the ceremony flawlessly and seamlessly transitioned from ceremony to reception as if that had been the plan all along. They know how to execute a great wedding and I would recommend Cross & Orange to anyone who is looking for an alternative venue to the standard catering hall.

This business has hit the mark on hosting a cocktail style reception and we would highly recommend them for anyone considering that style of wedding. We felt listened to, cared for, and felt the entire staffs joy at our celebration. Ashley, the event coordinator, checked in throughout the night to make sure both bride & groom were fed, hydrated and had a drink in our hands as we inevitably put them down for the next round of hugs and photos. nge is a dream. Our wedding was executed flawlessly, exceeded every single one of our expectations, and our guests kept telling us that it was the one of the best weddings that they have been to! Ashley and Kathy were so accommodating, patient, and understanding throughout the planning process, and the night of, were constantly checking up on us to make sure we were also having a good time. My husband and I always always talk about how we wish we could relive this day over and over. Everything, from the food, reception timeline, decor, the amazing staff was wonderful. We can't wait to come back here again soon to visit.

r an indoor/outdoor wedding. The space is unique and beautiful and absolutely perfect for a wedding. We rented out the park next door and had our ceremony there. We had 150 guests and had more than enough space. We didn't do a traditional seated dinner. There were amazing passed appetizers and entrees and late-night food as well. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic! We heard from a few people that no one had to wait for drinks. Kathy, Bob, and the entire team were fantastic. We had the time of our lives and the day was perfect. Highly recommend!

to say the least, but Kathy and Bob took all of the uncertainty out of it & helped us every step of the way. Their general positivity, welcoming attitudes & helpfulness with our questions was more than we could have imagined. We had just under 120 people in attendance and used both the inside and outdoor park areas. Our ceremony was in the outside park area and Bob & Kathy customized it to our specific needs. Even with these two areas + a DJ and dancefloor inside, we had so much room to spare. We had a cocktail style reception with more than enough amazing food being passed the entire time (Taylor Ham & Egg Sandwiches to end the night!!!!). If you are looking for a venue that is unique and just down for a great time, this is it! P.S. - My sister's shoe broke during the rehearsal and Kathy actually went out and got her a new pair. Can't get better than that!

You can also rent the park that the restaurant sits on for amazing additional space. Anything our guests asked for was provided. Really amazing!

find a new venue. Living in Asbury Park, we had frequently gone to C+O for happy hour and brunch. After getting more information on their wedding packages and talking with Kathy and Bob, the owners, we knew that this was the perfect place for our wedding. From the start, Kathy and Bob were so quick at communicating and were incredible to work with. They made the entire process so easy and stress free! The day of the wedding was everything we wanted. Everything went so smoothly and the staff was incredible. Everyone was so attentive and friendly. We had our ceremony inside which was beautiful! Afterwards, the staff members quickly turned the event space into a reception area. After we ate, we decided that we needed more room to dance so the staff adjusted tables to make this happen. Anything we needed they helped with. I wish we could relive this day everyday. I am so happy that we were able to have our wedding at Cross and Orange! Our friends and family couldn’t stop raving about the atmosphere of the venue, the food, and the entire day. I highly recommend C+O to anyone looking for a relaxed, fun wedding!

re is a farmers market every Sunday that ends at 3 PM. So the rental company they use had a very tight turnaround for the park set up. Everyone on board exceeded our expectations! Bob and Kathy were very communicative and we met with them several times prior. We also dropped off our decor the week of. The venue alone is beautiful and barely needs any decor. Everybody loved the food passed around which Mike did such a wonderful job on. They also added an old cocktail from their previous menu for my guests (and myself) to enjoy. They made sure Jack and I were eating and drinking throughout the night. Our friends and family are still talking about our special night. The location is perfect—whether you want to take pictures at the venue, downtown or at the beach. It truly was the most perfect evening. 11/10 would recommend if you’re looking for a wedding venue!!! Thank you to all the staff at Cross and Orange!

They were both super friendly, level-headed, accommodating, patient, responsive, proactive - everything you would want in someone who is effectively at the helm of your wedding day. They knew when to push us a bit out of our comfort zone based on their expertise, which is another super important trait. We had a somewhat non-traditional day and to put it simply, they shared our vision and were just DOWN. They, along with the rest of the staff, were instrumental in making our wedding day as special as it was for both us and all of our guests. The food and drink, from the initial tasting through to the dessert at the reception, was phenomenal - unique spins on classic, recognizable menu items, and it was a huge talking point for our guests. The menu was also super customizable, and we were able to play a big role in that which was great. Everything tasted so good and we can't wait to go back for a visit to have lunch. As far as locations in Asbury Park, I cannot think of a better one than Cross & Orange, and would recommend this place to any and all seeking an ideal experience that will only enhance your special day. The location is right in the heart of Asbury and a perfect spot for a wedding. I highly recommend!

Not only did they execute everything perfectly the day of, they let us in to set up first thing in the morning, and also helped with seating arrangements. Before the big day, they were available to answer any and all questions, met with us to discuss the menu and offered so many amazing suggestions. On the day of the wedding, the restaurant looked amazing and acted perfectly as a wedding venue. The tile floor in the front acted as a HUGE dance floor and so many people commented on how the venue was so much nicer than a wedding hall. We've had so many people tell us that it was the best wedding that they've ever been to- and one of the reasons being that the venue was so unique and beautiful. The food was amazing as were the drinks and service. We had a sit down family-style dinner for 100 and it came out PERFECTLY. There was so much room for people to mingle during cocktail hour and move around comfortably. The whole Cross and Orange team was so accommodating and we could not recommend them enough!!!

We had approx. 125 people, with a combination of regular and high top seating for our guests...plus a live band and dance floor! All that considered, there was still plenty of room. The staff of managers, waiters, bartenders and more handled every detail and request of ours. We were impressed with the variety of food options available for our menu and received great feedback from our guests on everything we had selected. Last but not least, the long bar ensured that our guests had comfortable, easy access to a delicious cocktail of their choosing with no lines.

e. First, the establishment itself is beautifully decorated in a classic but hip way. The huge french doors offer tons of natural light and open out onto Kennedy Park. The park has massive beautiful trees that shade the grassy area where we set up the dance floor and stage and the park looked magical with the strung lights overhead. The ability to incorporate the park into our ceremony and reception sealed the deal for us so that we could have an indoor/outdoor feel to the occasion. We had 150 guests and I would say that with the addition of the outdoor area, the venue felt spacious and I think the space could accommodate plenty more. I can’t say enough about how good the food is at Cross + Orange. The ingredients are fresh, the dishes are both simple and sophisticated, and the entire menu was crowd pleasing without feeling like “wedding food”. We were adamant that we wanted to have a cocktail style reception with plentiful passed hors d'oeuvres, plus a bountiful grazing table, and late night treats. Carey immediately got what we were going for and she and her team executed it perfectly. All of our guests commented on how delicious the food was and the late-night Taylor Ham breakfast sandwiches were a huge hit with the late night dance party. On top of that Cross + Orange’s cocktail program is top notch. We went with three summery signature cocktails adapted specially for our day, including a mocktail to make the mamas and non-drinkers feel included. We worked with Carey to have an outdoor bar near the dance floor, in addition to the generous indoor bar and there was never a backup to get a drink fix! As an aside, Cross + Orange was actually my husband and my third wedding location, after the first one cancelled on us, the second one was so poorly managed that we left them, and then we stumbled on the most perfect spot possible for our vision! After those miserable experiences, Carey was a dream to work with as the event coordinator. She was knowledgeable and responsive, flexible and helpful. Actually every member of the staff we interacted with, whether beforehand or during the wedding, were happy, helpful, and exceptionally well trained. I’m in total admiration of this team and so grateful they were part of our day.
