My husband and I were treated like royalty the entire time while working with the team. Candice is an angel sent from heaven. She made sure every desire of my heart was met and fit into our budget. The venue décor matched perfectly with my wedding theme. Now the food!!! When we went to the tasting the chicken and Prime Rib was everything. Most places the tasting food taste better then the day of. The food tasted better then the tasting. The server staff was excellent and my guest cant stop praising the treatment they received. ) I wanted to stop by and leave a few kind words about Laurie and all of the hard working folks at the plaza. As a wedding DJ, you couldn't ask for a better place for a wedding reception! Both events I've worked with them, we had an awesome dance floor and very well-laid out floor plan. The Crowne also has everything you need for a beautiful wedding ceremony and a wonderful foyer for your guests to enjoy a drink or hors d' oeuvre during cocktail hour. Thank you to Laurie and the staff for taking such good care of everyone, from the bride and groom to each last guest as well as providing everything I need to get up and running successfully, even a bottle of water when I needed! Little things leave the best memory, and I always like all of the little things that the Crowne Plaza does that you just don't find in a lot of wedding venues. I hope to work with them soon again! gant and perfect for our special day. We had a cocktail hour, before the reception, in the banquet room lobby that included an outside patio that was decked out with comfortable patio sofa's. With most guests staying at the hotel we were able to arrange special handling for all their accomodations. The staff was very attentive and made sure that everything we had planned worked close to perfect. Working with the Catering Sales Manager, Greg Danielson, was a great experience. Of all the venues we visited and all the Catering Managers we spoke too, he is among Portlands Best! He was very professional and was quick to respond anytime I needed an answer or had a request. He took total responsibility from that first visit all the way to following up weeks after the wedding to make sure that everything went as we expected. The setup for both the cocktail hour and the reception was incredible. The banquet room was elegant and really looked like it was from a platinum wedding show. The food from the cocktail hour to dinner was top notch. The transistion from the cocktail hour to dinner was flawless and the waiters were very attentive and professional. A couple of weeks before our wedding Greg scheduled a pre-wedding meeting with all the main players (including the chef, banquet room manager, and I believe even the housekeeping Manager as well) to go over all the details, which confirmed their interest in making sure all our expectations were met. A big plus for our guests (some who arrived days before the wedding) was the Concierge, Randy Matthews, who made sure that our personalized goodie bags were personally delivered to each guest room full of refreshments, brochures (of things to go and places to eat in Portland and surrounding areas), and information about the pre and post wedding activities. Also we got lots of positive feedback of his great work in helping schedule tours and other activities for them before and after the wedding. The last thing to say is that the parking accomodations were perfect with lots of space in a secured lot with easy direct access. All in all our wedding day was perfect and even today over a year later our guests continue to say it was their best wedding experience ever! Thanks Crowne Plaza, definitely a first class wedding reception venue!!
