About this vendor

**2020 Update: We are currently expecting our first child this Summer! For this reason, we will not be accepting any new wedding inquiries to give our family time to adapt to new parenthood! We expect to start taking orders again in September of 2020. Thank you!*** Crumbs and Confections is a full scale bakery, started and ran by Samantha Tallant (a bride-to-be herself!) Everything is done in house, by Samantha, from the moment you initiate contact to the day your cake gets delivered. All cakes are made fresh, from scratch, from only the best ingredients! Whether it's her delicious and creamy buttercream, or her mom's brownies, you're sure to not be disappointed on the big day! Samantha opened Crumbs and Confections in July of 2017 and has seen so much success since! In December of 2019, she was nominated by her fellow wedding vendors for the Rising Star of the Year Award. (We'll find out in January if she won!) The most important thing to Samantha is to provide affordable, but stunning desserts and cakes. Located in Smithville, but travel all over!

We had our tasting with them and the cake was delicious. We paid our deposit and then things sort of went to hell. I emailed her with our cake flavor final decisions and didn't hea...

r back for quite a while So I messaged her through Instagram and was told she was MIA bc her pup passed unexpected. I understood and said no worries. Communication wen unanswered again and was told she was having difficulties and wasn't receiving emails. This should have been a red flag. She was also getting married a few weeks before my honeymoon and her wedding was understandably her priority. Wedding day comes and she dropped off the cake and set everything up. It looked great until we figured out the cake was the completely wrong flavor, our 48 mini cupcakes ended up being 24 minis and 12 large (wrong flavor & dry) cupcakes. Our only assumption was that she forgot about our cupcakes and pulled something out from a previous wedding. The rest of the dessert bar was delicious and correct. Overall the lack of communication, focus and her not confirming our flavors before the big day lead to a less than stellar wedding day.

Samantha is fantastic!! Not to mention her work is DELISH!!! We got a naked double chocolate cake with raspberry filling with cream cheese and a butter cream crumb coat. Holy wow!!...

It was even better than the taste testing! The presentation was amazing. I wanted simple but added a little gold leaf as well! She followed through!!! She captured exactly what I wanted. I did keep my cake simple but I’ve seen her other artist work and I was honestly kinda regretted not going something more extreme because she has amazing attention to detail and have no doubt she would of captured my vision!! If you want a yummy amazing beautiful cake BOOK SAM!!! She won’t let you down!!!
