Its current owner Lucinda Piligian acquired the building after coming home from Los Angeles, where she had spent time as an actress. Leaving the silver-screen and palm trees of LA, she returned to her beloved Hutchinson and pursued a career in real-estate renovation with her sister Kathy. Their company, Flying Dog Properties, has worked hard to return the Crystal Ballroom to its former glory. Guests will marvel at the elegance of its designer chandeliers sparkling in the space’s ample natural light. The ballroom has retained its exposed brick walls and maple-wood floors, which create a tasteful and rugged tone. The wedding party can unwind in the Foxtrot Longue, and enjoy a quiet moment at its bar with its vintage feel and warm decor. There is a separate get-ready space in the Tango Parlor which provides a cozy atmosphere in which to gather before the ceremony.
