Crystal Ballroom at the Rice

This review is for Lawless Spirits and Kitchen, which is part of the Sambuca Restaurant Group (which also includes the Crystal Ballroom). We had our wedding in the space and couldn't have been happier. Paula made all parts of our reception planning easy and as stress free as possible. She was incredibly patient and understanding with regard to all our questions and many changes to plans made up until the date of our actual reception. Best of all, she was not someone to nickel and dime you. She was honest about what we'd need for our reception, what would be "too much" or extra, and was generous with regard to letting us bring in our cakes and any appetizers from outside vendors at no extra charge! You knew she was working to help make our day as nice, and financially within our limits, as possible, which we really appreciated. They also provided us with the table numbers and vases that we filled with water and purchased floating candles to put in. The day of the wedding, Paula was sick and so we worked with another manager, William. He was amazing, too. He and his staff were so attentive to us and our guests throughout the reception, constantly checking in to make sure we had everything we needed or if we needed anything else. It's a beautiful venue that comes with amazing food and, best of all, a supportive and really sweet staff to work with throughout this stressful process. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an elegant and, yet different, kind of setting for their day.

Not often do you have wedding guests bragging about the food at your wedding! They did an amazing job!

We had our ceremony & reception at Sambuca and at first it was a little hard to imagine what the wedding would look like in a restaurant but ..wow the coordinators that were involved with Sambuca did an outstanding job! We did the all inclusive package that included the photographer, food, DJ, Beer ,wine, & Champagne, & Cake. ( all the vendors were the best of the best) for $65 PP. If anyone is looking for a more modern venue with a great priced all inclusive package with AMAZING food and service .. book with Sambuca!

If you are looking for superb service and an intimate venue, Sambuca is the BEST kept secret for an afternoon wedding (1-5p)!! Erica Gonzales-Stork and her team made sure all my guests were well taken care of, and my husband and I were treated like a King and Queen. Erica accommodated all of our needs and made our wedding day simply AMAZING!!! I loved that they offered an all inclusive package: wedding cake (sooo good), Food was great, Photographer was awesome!! We had our own DJ so we were able to get a photo booth instead. The Sambuca team DID THAT!!
