I cannot overstate how amazing Stephanie was to work with. The flavor profile was exactly what we were hoping for and our entire wedding could not stop talking about how delicious the cake was. For the tasting there was such a wide combination of flavor profiles that we will likely be ordering a cake again for our anniversary just so we can try new combinations. The cake decoration exceeded our expectations for what we had in mind as well.

Stephanie was great to work with and made the two cakes I sent her into one cake! We had a small wedding of around 28 people and Stephanie was spot on with the size that was perfect for very few leftovers! It was great to be able to trust someone without second guessing for our big day! I would recommend Crystal City Confectionery time and time again!!

Stephanie did an amazing job on our cake and it tasted so good. It looked so great one of my nieces thought it was fake and had to try it before we even cut into it!

We did the sweetheart package for our guests and a smaller two-tier wedding cake that was shared between myself/husband and our wedding party of 11 people. Our wedding cake was a pressed wildflower design and Stephanie made it more beautifully than the likes of Pinterest has ever seen. I think the pictures speak for themselves but I can't thank Stephanie and Crystal City Confectionary for taking my wedding dessert ideas into a fully realized and unforgettable display. Stephanie used a mix of her own display pieces and some of mine and arranged seriously the prettiest dessert table I've ever seen. She also accommodated a couple desserts for a vegan guest and a guest with a tree nut allergy. One of my biggest regrets is not asking for one of every dessert to be put aside for myself for later after my nerves settled down. Only a few cupcakes were left at the end of the night and many people came up to me to tell me how wonderful the dessert was. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for bringing these ideas to life and we are absolutely positive no one else could have accomplished a single detail better.

Stephanie created us a gorgeous cake that was almost too good to eat. She was 1000% professional and knew exactly what we wanted in our wedding cake. We would hire her again but we don't plan on getting married again.

Stephanie was a pleasure to work with, as I assisted my son and daughter-in-law with their wedding cake selection. I was referred to Stephanie by another bakery from Northern Michigan who highly recommended Stephanie. We live 3 hours south in the southeastern area of Michigan, so initially it was a challenge finding a reputable baker. I must say, in addition to being delicious, Stephanie's artistry in baking was gorgeous, we received many compliments on the wedding cake and cupcakes from our guests (including our catering staff!). Right from my first call to Stephanie, she was most kind and gracious in answering all my questions and very professional. During each of our phone calls, text messages or emails, I was always created with kindness and professionalism. Her knowledge and expertise were invaluable to me! Stephanie encouraged my daughter-in-law to share her inspiration pictures. From the pictures she shared Stephanie created 100% of the cake and cupcakes designs with the jewel tone colors my daughter-in-law selected for their wedding. I ordered plenty of cupcakes to accompany the wedding cake, I only wished I had ordered more desserts for their wedding as Stephanie has so many options to offer to create an over-the-top dessert table for our guests. If I ever host an event in Northern Michigan I would whole-heartedly hire Stephanie again.

Stephanie was amazing to work with for our wedding cake and cannolis! She was responsive and accommodating during the entire process which was nice since we were planning the wedding out of state. I love how our cake turned out and hope to use Crystal City Confectionary again (for an anniversary version!) 🙂

Stephanie was amazing to work with and did an incredible job with designing our cake. I am Gluten Free and she went out of her way to make a delicious cake, with many guests who are not GF raving about the GF layer. Stephanie is amazing! I loved how easy it was to get in touch with her - communication was a breeze. She was flexible and so helpful with last minute changes that came up. We got married at The Homestead and it was great that she’d worked with this venue before. She was able to give us suggestions about what she’d need to display our desserts well. The cake and cupcakes were absolutely delicious! We got a two tiered wedding cake, rosettes and realistic cupcakes. Her work is very impressive and we loved the flavor of our cakes. Stephanie was such a joy to work with and help plan my dream wedding cake! She was so flexible with us and as someone who lived out of state from Michigan while wedding planning, she made it seem so easy and convenient. She mailed us tastings to be able to try out what we liked, and gave us plenty of time to make final decisions and go back and make changes to what we had in mind multiple times. She was quick to communicate with us, which I really appreciated as so many up north vendors were not as on top of it as Stephanie was. Overall would highly, highly recommend her (and the confetti cake!!!).

HIRE STEPHANIE!!! From the start, Stephanie was informative and responsive. More importantly, her cakes are DELICIOUS (and affordable). She has diverse flavor options from classic to some more unique options. We were able to get a second flavor sheet cake for the wedding which was a really fun and personal touch. Tasting was a really fun experience and she is someone you can trust on the day of your wedding to show up and deliver. We are still talking about our cake over a week later...would highly recommend Crystal City Confectionery!!

We hired Stephanie to make our wedding cake and a dessert bar for our wedding. Additionally we ended up doing a few cake tastings to pick the flavor ( we didn’t need this many they were just so good). The cake looked stunning and tasted amazing. The goodies for the dessert bar were delicious (cannolis, mini cupcakes, and macaroons). The guests were raving about them and there were none left by the end of the night. We originally wanted to save our cake topper, but ended up eating it because it was so delicious. We will definitely be having Stephanie bake for us for all of our up north events and for our anniversary!

Stephanie is so kind, easy to work with and fast to respond. She also makes the most delicious cakes, cupcakes and French macaroons. she made the whole process a pleasure and delivered the most stunning cake. Every single guest complimented our cake. We highly recommend Stephanie.

Stephanie was lovely to work with. She made a three tiered wedding cake and cute little fruit tarts for my wedding in September 2022. It looked so beautiful and was wonderfully tasty. I could not have been happier. She made the process really easy and stress-free - not to mention her bakes were stellar. I don't live in the area, which was a non-issue since she did the cake tasting through the mail and was communicative throughout the process leading up to the wedding. She worked with a local florist to get the flowers for the cake, which turned out amazingly. I really liked that she kept it local and I ended up using that person for my wedding flowers too. I wish I lived closer so that I could order her confections more often. I would work with her again, no question.

OH MY GOSH! If I lived near a mountain I would literally be shouting Stephanie praise from the mountain top! We did a full dessert buffet that included a three tier wedding cake, two different types of mini pies, lemon bars, and two different types of dessert shooters. Our guests were amazed and so were we. I will be a returning customer every single year for an anniversary cake. She is so talented, creative, and kind! Could not have asked for a better baker for our wedding. I was absolutely floored at how beautiful my cake and cupcakes were and so yummy! She arrived on time and put everything out so pretty. Also super sweet. All and all I recommend her to everyone!

Stephanie is an outstanding baker! Our guest were blown away by the display of the cake and macarons as well as the flavors. Our favorite flavor was Blueberry Cinnamon!🤤 We would say that Stephanie is the BEST baker in the area and she can make your wedding dreams come true.

Stephanie is a Super Star!! She made us a custom 3 tier cake for our wedding. It was so delicious everyone was asking who made the cake and it was moist and just beautifully done. I wanted fresh flowers so I left her some flowers, greenery and baby’s breath and I didn’t realize what she can turn those few flowers into. Just Perfection! So delicious that it was a huge cake for the 15 people at my micro wedding almost finished it all they couldn’t get enough. I highly recommend! If I or anyone I know needs any custome desserts, I will go to Stephanie and recommend to everyone I know. Her communication is prompt. She is Phenomenal!

We decided to hire Stephanie for our engagement party. With around 50 guests. Stephanie met with us beforehand (via zoom) and consulted on the theme on color scheme of the gathering. She nailed the design. I was blown away by the creativity and attention to detail. Everything was perfection. And that doesn’t even address the flavor. Wow so delicious! Everyone at the party was gushing over the cookies and cake.

When planning a bridal shower for one of my best friends, I knew she would want some delicious treats that were both unique and very much the bride's personality. Crystal City Confectionery did NOT disappoint!! They made the most elegant and avante-garde cookies, cakes, and edible favors for our guests to take home. We were able to have the most gorgeous dessert table filled with all of Crystal City's tasty works of art. We have used Crystal Lake Confectionery for multiple occasions. The cakes and cookies are visually spectacular and most importantly, delicious! The added bonus is that ALL of her creations can also be made gluten free. Have your camera ready because the goodies are works of art!

Amazing! We used Crystal City Confectionery for our engagement party cake and it was absolutely perfect! We had a moderate size gathering with about 35 guests and a very specific theme. We wanted woodland fantasy to match our love of the outdoors and Crystal City totally delivered. We had ordered from them previously, a olive oil cake, for a holiday party that was so so delicious so we decided to utilize their talents again for our engagement party. Their flavor combinations are so unique, so if you’re looking for something memorable Crystal City is definitely worth a try. We have already booked them for our wedding favors, we asked for custom decorated sugar cookies for every guest! We’re so excited to see the favors as part of the table setting and know everyone will love them!
