s, I would. I was in a wedding on October 26, 2019 and Crystal DID NOT SHOW UP. My friend found her on Wedding Wire where, for some reason, she has bunches of raving 5 star reviews. In the months leading up to the wedding, Crystal was a little lax with communication, taking a few days to respond, but we wrote it off as her being busy with wedding season, etc. Crystal asked for full payment, including gratuity, two days before the wedding (we know why now), at which point she confirmed the day of timeline. 30 minutes before Crystal is supposed to arrive to the venue that is 3 hours from where she is located, someone claiming to be Crystal's sister texted the bride to say they found Crystal unconscious that morning and had taken her to the hospital. That is a very reasonable excuse to not show up to a wedding, but why not text WAY sooner so that we could find a back-up for hair and makeup for the bride, the mothers of the bride and groom, and the six bridesmaids who have all already paid for their hair and make up to be done OR why not still send the 3 other assistants who were supposed to come? That was a very unprofessional way of handling the situation and we all had a very distraught bride to help just a few hours before her wedding. We ended up missing the pictures we were supposed to take before the ceremony while we scrambled to get everyone ready. Crystal contacted the bride a few days after the wedding to say she had just been released from the hospital from the flu and pneumonia and she would be issuing a full refund within 30 days. It has been over 30 days at this point and no one has received any refunds and Crystal has not responded to texts, calls, emails, or Facebook messages (she has since deleted her Facebook page). After looking on other websites, there have been many stories similar to ours from the recent months. We have also found out that Crystal not only double-booked that day, but book FOUR weddings. We now know that she was not in the hospital. She did in fact show up to two of the four weddings, but LIED to the other two. We have also spoken to one of the assistants who BEGGED Crystal to let her go alone to one of the other weddings so the brides would not be left with no one, to which Crystal refused. It frustrates me to no end to know that this woman is out there stealing from, lying to, and taking advantage of people on what should be the most special day of their lives. If this review spares even one person from dealing with the stress and heartache on their wedding day, then it has been worth writing.

Not only did she not show up but she STOLE the money and has no intentions on giving it back considering she has made ZERO effort to respond to multiple messages on multiple platforms. Avoid Crystal Nix in every way possible. Unprofessional and disgusting “business” she is running.

6th 2019 and hired Crystal for hair and makeup. Since she booked her pretty far in advance, there wasn't much need for communication, but the three times she did need to contact her to book her trial, confirm time for arrival, etc. Crystal was slow to respond. She had her trial a month before the wedding; Crystal was friendly and her hair and make-up looked stunning. Crystal did ask for the final payment (which includes gratuity) a few days before the wedding, so she does make sure she gets paid even when she has double booked the wedding day and doesn't plan to show up! So on the wedding day, I am matron of honor, but also wedding planner, so I have a schedule of when everyone should arrive and what needs to be done, which is now increased by the fact that we couldn't set up the decorations for the ceremony in advance due to rain. Everything was going smoothly until 30 MINUTES BEFORE SHE IS SUPPOSE TO ARRIVE the bride gets a text from someone claiming to be Crystal's sister saying that they found her passed out in her apartment that morning and had to rush her to the hospital. We understand she can't control being sick; however, we couldn't understand was what happened to her team? Our wedding was 3 hours away, shouldn't one of her team members have found her 2.5 hours before when they were supposed to leave and contacted us? This was VERY unprofessional. Now we had 2.5 hours to figure out how to get the bride and 8 other people's hair and make-up done....when most of us hadn't even brought make-up since it was supposed to be done for us! On TOP of everything else already scheduled to be done. HOW CRYSTAL CAN LIVE WITH HERSELF AFTER DOING THIS PURPOSELY TO BRIDES ON A DAY THEY HAVE DREAMED OF FOR MONTHS IS BEYOND ME. She emailed a couple days after the wedding apologizing and said she would issue a full refund within 30 days from services not rendered as stated in the contract. Now, it has been over 30 days with no refund and she doesn't respond to email, text or FB messages. So, we looked her up and come to find out there are now MULTIPLE reviews of brides with VERY similar stories. There is also a review from a girl who got married on the same day as our wedding. Crystal was double booked 3 hours away...unless she has a way to teleport, she was not ever planning to show up to at least one of the weddings. Maybe she was triple booked and some lucky girl actually had a hair and make-up artist! I am hoping this message will save other brides from the stress and trouble that my sister was put through. Instead of having a stress free wedding day after all the hard work we put in, she was in tears trying to figure out her hair and makeup . Thank God we have cousins in those industries who saved the day. And thank God for magically giving me and the other bridesmaids hair and make-up skills for each other that we do not actually have. We will forever not have the pictures that she wanted and the photographer was paid for and there to take. And now, even AFTER the wedding, she is STILL dealing with this since there has been no refund and no communication. Save yourselves the trouble and DO NOT BOOK CRYSTAL NIX BEAUTY

She was the only vendor I booked not through my venue. I had my trial a month before the wedding and she was friendly and everything went great and I was really excited about it. About a week and a half before the wedding I reached out to her to get a timeline of when she thought her and her team (3 other assistants were promised) would arrive, etc. She again took days to respond and I had to message her again to get her to FINALLY send it two days before the wedding along with her asking for the final payment (which includes gratuity). So, as you can tell by now, communication is not very good or professional. So my wedding day arrives and everything is great. All my vendors are arriving, nothing seems wrong, no one is late....then 30 MINUTES BEFORE SHE IS SUPPOSE TO ARRIVE I get a text from someone claiming to be her sister saying that they found her passed out in her apartment that morning and had to rush her to the hospital. Now I am not a heartless human, this is something that she cannot control if she is sick. However, to only message me 30 minutes before you're suppose to arrive at 11:30a when the venue was 3 hours away from where you live so you and your team should have been leaving at least 2.5 hours before that message was sent to me, is CRAZY to me. One of your team members could have reached out to me letting me know WAY SOONER so that we would have had more time to figure it out. This was VERY unprofessional in my opinion and I also didn't understand why the 3 other girls couldn't have continued down to do our hair and makeup. Since that didn't happen, I only had 2.5 hours to figure out how, to not only get my hair and makeup done, but also my 6 bridesmaids and both our mothers done. We ended up missing the pictures we were suppose to have gotten before the wedding and now I will forever not have those moments. She emailed me a couple days after my wedding saying she is sorry she just got released from the hospital and had the flu and Pneumonia and that she will be issuing me a full refund within 30 days. Great, sounds good. Fast forward to today. It has been over 30 days since my wedding and I have YET to receive my refund. Not only that but I have sent multiple emails and texts and Facebook messages asking her about it and have not received ONE SINGLE RESPONSE. So as you can imagine now I am a little skeptical and worried so off to google search I go. Come to find out there are now MULTIPLE reviews from Sept-Oct of this year of brides with VERY similar stories. I also find the EXACT same story as mine from a year ago that said Crystal had LIED about being sick. Most of the reviews have the same sentiment, that they later found out that whatever excuse she had given was a LIE. I also find a review from a girl who got married on the same day as me. Crystal not only didn't show up for her wedding as well BUT she also didn't even bother to contact her. This also means that this girl and I were double booked. At this point I have no choice but to take legal action.

No news to any of you that a brides wedding day is probably the most memorable day of her life and with that being said, this is why I MUST publish such an unfortunate occurrence. Crystal had someone else message the bride to tell her she was not going to be coming to do hair and makeup on the day of her wedding only 30 minutes prior to when she was supposed to show up. Keep in mind the venue was 3 hours south of where Crystal would of been coming from so she would of had that 3 hours to at least give us time to work something else out. The person who reached out to the bride claimed that Crystal was in the hospital. While this is extremely unfortunate, she did have a crew she could have still sent and I repeat could have messaged the bride sooner knowing she was in the hospital. Now that I am reading other reviews stating that she has called out from weddings completely or been late to arrive due to being "sick, car wrecks, etc." its hard to believe that she was in fact in the hospital. So we had to scramble to find our VERY upset bride another individual to help with her hair and makeup. It was so disappointing seeing a woman go from being so excited about her big day to so emotionally distraught all over miscommunication by a unreliable vendor who for some reason has a high star rating. On top of that the entire wedding party and mother of the bride and groom were left to try to work something else out as well. Luckily, we got our bride looking gorgeous for her wedding day and the night went on with NO help from Crystal Nix. The bride contacted Crystal a few days after the wedding and was told she would receive a refund for the services within 30 days. Fast forward to a month after the wedding, after multiple attempts to contact Crystal on social media, email, text and phone calls in regards to the lack of refund, there has been zero reciprocation on her end. How can a wedding vendor not only NO-SHOW for a wedding but keep thousands of dollars without refunding it!!! I have been advised by the bride that legal actions will probably be taken at this time. It just seriously pains me to know that this could potentially happen to another bride and from what it looks like from other reviews has unfortunately happened to other brides already. This vendor should be ashamed that she not only robbed this bride and her family and friends of thousands of dollars but also robbed her of a memory to be pampered on her wedding day.

ustry. In the beginning, over a year ago, what I thought was an honest, out of her control scenario turned out to be an echo of so many of these negative reviews below. My wedding was Sept 29, 2018 in Carl, GA. Crystal and her team were over an hour and a half late to my wedding due to a car accident they were involved in. At the time I was so care-free and didn't want to have any stress on the morning of my wedding, so I was super understanding and did not feel upset about their tardiness. Especially because I knew being in a car accident was out of their control. However once I read all of these other reviews on multiple websites, I saw one that literally said she LIED about being in a car accident on that brides wedding day. Seriously? How many "car accidents" has she been in? Not only did this accident make our day so behind, we had to pay all the vendors over $1,000 extra to extend all of their time so we could fit everything into our day, with no refund of any sort on Crystals end. Again, it wasn't until I read all the similar stories that I realized this wasn't just a one-time fluke, but that she has done this to so many other brides as well. Cut to this weekend. One of my best friends got married this Sat. Nov 16th, 2019. She expressed her concern that her makeup/hair artist had been really difficult to get ahold of as she had tried to schedule her trial appointment, was extremely pushy for money, and that she had been seeing all of these recent negative reviews coming up on multiple websites. That's when I realized she had hired Crystal. For two days before the wedding, at her trial (that she finally got done the day before the wedding), and on her special day she was SO stressed. There were 10 of us getting hair & makeup. She has multiple receipts on multiple occasion that show that she told Crystal how many people needed services done. Crystal said she was worried about time and wanted us to start at our friends house at 8am, even though we didn't have to be ready until 1PM. We were super worried she was gonna pull a "done in 2 hours because I double booked" scenario, but it was the complete opposite. Crystal brought just 1 hair stylist and herself to do makeup. They started at 8AM and didn't finish until past 2:30PM, making pictures rushed and everything so behind (thank God for the photogs who got us back on track). The real kicker? By 1PM Crystal's "team" still had 3 bridesmaids & MOB to do. So I ended up doing one of the bridesmaids makeup in the other room so we could get done. We didn't want it to be a big deal for our bride, so this said bridesmaid just paid the full $90, even though Crystal didn't even touch her face. Absolutely unacceptable. I am a wedding photographer myself, and I have seen her name brought up on many Photography Facebook groups stating her no showing, lying, being late & more (for other photographers brides). I take pride in my service and loyalty to my brides on the most important day of their life. Brides need so much help planning their big day, and websites like The Knot and Wedding Wire are here to make it all easier for them and involve them in a community with other brides to share their experiences. I hope that Crystal stops involving herself with the wedding industry, these brides deserve better.

pattern of deceit and theft. Like the brides who stayed before, communication was horrible with the exception of the frequent texts request payment the night before my wedding. The day of Crystal did not show. Nor did anyone from her “team.” When it was 30 minutes past my start time I reached out as did my coordinator. Her voicemail was full, no calls or emails were answered and eventually I received a text from her phone from someone claiming to be her sister who indicated she was contacting all of her clients (clearly not the case because I had to reach out to her) and that Crystal was hospitalized with pneumonia. This appears to be a string of bad luck considering the other brides posting reviews shared stories of car accidents and getting sick in the car, and so on. Furthermore, if Crystal was supposed to come with a team, I am unclear as to why that person did not show up at the contracted time to work and share the news that Crystal would not be coming. Crystal has not responded to frequent calls and texts from me, my husband, nor my coordinator for updates or refunds. Unfortunately this has now become a legal matter. If this review can save a single person from not being taken advantage of on the most precious day of their lives then it’s worth It.

We finally heard from her the Tuesday of wedding week where she shared a ridiculous beauty schedule (I now realize from other reviews this is probably because she was double booked) and my final invoice. I paid it immediately and requested some tweaks to the schedule. We NEVER HEARD FROM HER AGAIN. If you don’t want to be left wondering, worrying, stressing and scrambling to find new artists less than 48 hours before your wedding as your family is arriving in town, then do not book Crystal Nix. I just hope she finally reimburses me before legal action has to be taken for breach of contract. Luckily I had amazing coordinators that took charge and found a more talented, kinder group of artists that worked within our wedding day timeline, made us feel great and we had a blast getting ready. Silver linings, I guess! If the above isn’t enough, Crystal’s lack of response to the below plea I both emailed and texted her ONE DAY before the wedding should speak to her character. Do you really want to work with someone like that? Hopefully she’ll do all brides a favor and get out of the wedding business. “Crystal, I'm not sure what you have going on in your life to cause your lack of response and consideration of others. I'm sure it is a lot and difficult, and I'm sorry for whatever you may be going through. But no matter what, it does not excuse your treatment of me in what is supposed to be one time in my life to feel cared for and special. You've caused stress, worry and anger. You've stolen time with my family, sleep and excitement. You've given me something to have to deal with last minute instead of gliding into my wedding day. You've disappointed 9 women and a bride that looked forward to your talent of making us feel our best. Please find it in your heart to, at a minimum, respond today with how you will be alleviating this situation in order to give peace of mind so we may all move forward.” Good luck to anyone that does not pay attention to the poor reviews.

I had to wait 4-5 days before I even received a response from her. I panicked most of the time worried she had taken my money and ran. She would finally reply to me and ease my anxiety. Saturday morning they arrived at 8 am, that was the scheduled time because I had SO many bridesmaids. My wedding was at 5:30 and I was to go last. Crystal said she sent me a specific schedule on who would go first, I have looked far and wide for this email and nothing. She didn’t even tell me she sent it just in case. EVERYTHING WAS RUSHED I mean my girls would sit in a chair, show a picture of what they wanted, and their hair would be done in 10 minutes. Not exaggerating, at one point I timed it and one was done in 9 minutes. The make up though was great! All my bridesmaids were upset about their hair because literally it just kept falling out. At about 10 I started to cry in the kitchen because the whole vibe of the morning was off and felt negative. At around 10:30 my bridesmaid noticed crystal looking at A map on her phone to see how far something was. This is when we discovered she double booked that day. She says she didn’t but she admitted to my mom she had another wedding later in the day. I WAS IN MY MAKE UP CHAIR AT 10:30. I wasn’t even ready, I had to write my fiancé a note and get a few things done. But crystal said something along the lines of, “I’m ready so she needs to be ready.” I found it extremely rude. Everything started to just go down hill. By 11 we were scrambling to find Bobby pins to keep hair from falling out. By this point crystal told her team to go on and it was only her left to try and salvage hair. My bridesmaids paid 159 all together for this. While my make up was happening I could feel crystal was in a panic because she had to be somewhere. Her phone was going off like crazy. I almost started to feel bad on my own wedding day because I was holding her up. She finished my make up and got to my hair. My mother walked in and asked if she could do her hair (to be fair we did not have her on schedule because she didn’t want it done) but the humidity was killing her hair. She just asked if she could run a straightener through it. She gave my mother attitude as though it was the hardest thing in the world. Everyone including me was done before 12. 6 hours before my ceremony. I didn’t step in my dress till 3, the photographer wasn’t even there yet. I was so disappointed and upset. I just wanted her gone because at this point I was a nuisance to her because she had to be somewhere else. When she left, my bridesmaid redid my hair and I looked beautiful. Again, I thought crystal and her team would be there the whole day. I did not address this with crystal because I just wanted it to be over. My anxiety was through the roof and I wanted her gone. I did not want to feel like I was bothering someone because I hired them to do my make up. As a bride, I waited for this day my whole life, but I felt like for crystal, I was just another paycheck. To top it off, I spoke to the bride who’s wedding she had to get to, she was 3 hours late and lied and told her she got in a car accident and that’s why she was late. I cannot support a liar. I would not recommend.

About a week before the wedding the bride finally heard from Crystal. Don’t worry though, one thing she will make sure to communicate is that she needs her money prior to the wedding day. This includes gratuity. All before you see the results of the services or how she handles the day. After dealing with her, I see why. She wouldn’t get any gratuity if she were paid based on service. Her team showed up at 8am which was the agreed upon time. Since it was a large wedding party, we knew it would take a long time. What we didn’t know is that they would finish by 11. Let me say, the ladies who did our hair and makeup that came with Crystal were wonderful. They were kind, listened to our requests, and truly wanted us to be happy. It would be in their best interest to not associate themselves with Crystal because they were wonderful. Crystal seemed uninterested and disconnected the entire time she was there. She seemed irritated by us and acted as if we were a burden on her. She was rushed and messy. At 10:30 (keep in mind the wedding was at 5:30pm) Crystal called for the bride. One of the bridesmaids asked if she could hold off just a bit while she finished her letter to her soon to be groom. The bride was also hoping it would be a bit closer to wedding time before her hair and makeup was finished. Crystal responded “well I’m ready so she needs to come on.” Crystal left the room often and was on her phone for a majority of the morning. The bride was in tears when Crystal “finished” her hair. One of the other bridesmaids ended up doing the brides hair. Several bridesmaids left reviews on our services and Crystal texted the bride on her wedding day to tell her how disappointed she was that we did that. On. Her. Wedding. Day. (We have text evidence of this.) It wasn’t until after the wedding day was over that we realized what was going on. Come to find out, Crystal double booked. Another bride contacted one of our bridesmaids who had left a review and informed her that she was the other wedding that day. Crystal told our bride she did not double book. (We have text evidence of that, too.) Not only did she lie to us, she told the other bride that she was 3 hours late because she got in a car wreck. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Bottom line - do not book. We paid a LOT of money for services and gratuity that was not deserved on Crystals end.

. She took forever to respond to emails and text messages. In July my sister became panicked because after multiple times reaching out she had no response. We started looking for a new hair and make up person because we assumed she was bailing. She finally responded and my sister thought we were back on track. Fast forward to 2 weeks before the wedding. She has gone MIA again. No one had heard from her, she’s no longer responding. It took threatening breach of contract to finally get a response. In fact, my sister had 2 back up people on hold just in case. She even went to Ulta and purchased a bunch of make up in the event she had to do it herself. Day of the wedding...Crystal was on time (thank goodness) with 4 OTHER PEOPLE. There were 5 people there to do hair and make up. My sister immediately went into panic mode because this meant things were going to move extremely fast. Crystal had a schedule that was never sent to the bride or the wedding planner. Our schedule was that we were to do hair and make up from 8:00am-2:00pm (12 people including MOG) with my sister going last. The photographer was showing up at 2:00 to capture the tail end of hair and make up. We were done at 10:30! We sat around for hours with nothing to do. Luckily I am a photographer as well and had my husband bring me my camera to take hair and make up photos. She was rude when my sister wasn’t ready to get in the hair and make up chair at 10:00. She needed to finish her letter to her soon to be husband. When we asked her to please wait, her response was “We are done with everyone else, so no I can’t wait, it’s her turn.” It was obvious then that something wasn’t right. We had to call in the MOG and MOB from another location because if they wanted hair done, they needed to get there ASAP! When Crystal left by 11:00, my sister cried. Her hair looked terrible (a bridesmaid fixed it closer to when the photographer was coming), all the bridesmaids hair was falling out. We were picking up Bobby pins off the floor to try and fix it. It was a disaster! Turns out she had booked another wedding as well. She was continually stopping to text and answer her phone. I’m assuming it was the other bride. That bride contacted a bridesmaid wanting to know if we were the wedding prior to hers. She stated Crystal was 3 hours late and told her she had a car wreck. 100% total lies. I gave her 2 stars because even after all this, all the make up looked fabulous. Her 2 make up people she brought were amazing. They were the light during the morning. Basically book at your own risk. Hopefully she learns from all of this and the many 1 star reviews before this.

ould care less what I look like but when she rushed through the brides hair and makeup and kept leaving the room to answer the phone (come to find out for another wedding she committed to THE SAME DAY) that was too far. This is the brides special day and she started the day off on a horrible note. Although her staff and assistants were super sweet and nice I would NEVER waist my money on her services again. It’s now obvious why she makes her clients pay ahead (plus gratuity) because her work is NOT worth it. Brides be cautious.

deserve the one star rating. at the start when i first hired crystal she was amazing! I was so excited to have her do my hair and make up. during my trial she did a fantastic job! ( And dont get me wrong she still does) The month of my wedding Crystal was MIA. I sent her several emails, reached out to her on here and texted her. it took her weeks to respond to me. I honestly had a break down because I saw the other reviews and thought She had ran away with my money. She later called me and calmed me down and everything was fine. she said she would send me a day of schedule and everything. well i never received one and the week of the wedding the same thing happened i had to send her a threatening email saying I was going to find someone else and she immediately responded. She then said she was sorry, took 50 bucks off my total. the next day requested me to pay her in full and giver her gratuity (which was 22%) i did it because its in her contract but she doesn't deserve the tip she got. The morning of she showed up with 3 assistants (LATE) and was in a hurry. her assistant Brittany was amazing and i would recommend her hands down. Crystal and her other assistant were awful! three of my girls had to redo their hair because it fell out an hour after while we were taking pictures and my hair fell down during my first dance. If i could go back and change anything about my wedding day it would be getting a new hair and make up person. Do your self a favor and DO NOT BOOK HER!

in January and scheduled my makeup trial in March for my engagement pictures. At first, Crystal was responsive and I was really happy with the makeup for my pictures. Fast forward four months, my wedding hair stylist fell through so I reached out to Crystal to add bridal party hair services. I did not hear back right away but followed up again. She made no mention of her tardy response but did provide me with the information I needed. I decided to add the hair trial and paid that deposit. I then notified Crystal and attempted to set a date for the hair trial. I repeatedly reached out over email but did not receive a response until almost two weeks later. I certainly do understand that life happens and it may not be feasible to respond within 24 hours, but an out of office reply or simple email letting me know there would be a delay would have been appreciated. Other brides will agree that it is important to hire vendors who are respectful and professional for their wedding. The lack of response had me very anxious because looking my best at my wedding is very important to me! I was beginning to worry I would have someone who would not show up on my day, especially if she could not respond to my email! I reached out again to ask for a day to schedule the hair trial. She finally emailed back that she had “several days available” the following week. I responded with two dates that worked for me. No response again. So, I followed up a few days later and told Crystal that it was really important to me that I was working with someone I trusted and hoped our communication could improve. Still no response and the day rolls around that I had suggested. Because of this, I made the decision to terminate my contract. I notified Crystal of this and requested a refund (for everything other than the makeup trial). Miraculously, I received a response 30 minutes later. She cited reasons for her lack of responsiveness, but I expected more, especially from someone who has worked in the industry for years and should understand how important communication is in planning a wedding and coordinating with vendors. While I did sign a contract that included a non-refundable deposit, it was based on the assumption that she would communicate in a professional manner and not lead me to believe she would not fulfill her end of the agreement. She also did not sign or send a completed contract to me. Therefore, it was not fully executed by her and I should be owed a refund (which I have not yet received). I cannot recommend Crystal Nix Beauty based on numerous communication issues.

. However, this experience was the only low point of an otherwise perfect wedding day. More than anything, I'm disappointed in how Crystal handled the situation after the wedding. A majority of the issues arose from a lack of communication from Crystal. The week of the wedding, it was hard to get in contact with her. There was a misunderstanding as to what time the bridal party was expected to arrive and the length of time that the team would be available to do hair/makeup. The morning of the wedding, Crystal brought 2 extra stylists without communicating this, meaning she and her team finished the wedding party’s hair/makeup entirely too early in the day – two hours before the previously scheduled time. Because of this, the wedding party's hair was falling throughout the day. Crystal left an emergency kit with lipstick, lash glue, and bobby pins. We used all those bobby pins and then some because we all had to fix our hair before the ceremony even started. I love my wedding photos but I’m disappointed with how my hair looks because it’s falling so badly. All the artists seemed to be in a huge hurry that morning, leading us to think that they double booked themselves and had to rush out to another job. I thought that Crystal wanted to start early to ensure that everyone was finished in time, but it seems that it was because they had somewhere else to be. Due to the extra stylists, the MOG needed to arrive earlier than planned for hair/makeup. We later found out that Crystal expected us all to be there at 7AM when they arrived. The MOG was not there early enough so Crystal left, causing the MOG to have to seek out her own hair/makeup service at the local mall. The groom immediately called/texted Crystal upon learning she had left, but Crystal did not respond for 2 hours. When she responded, she merely sent screenshots of the contract and a long text explaining why she wasn’t at fault. We were willing to have the MOG meet Crystal somewhere but due to Crystal’s delayed response, this was not possible. We do acknowledge there was some misunderstanding of the contract, however, Crystal’s lack of flexibility was extremely frustrating and disappointing. It was clear that they had another event to go to. The week after the wedding, our planner emailed Crystal to resolve the issue. Once again, she sent a very long email dissecting the contract and telling our planner why we were in the wrong. She seemed more concerned with the public image of her company and how our negative experience could affect her ratings, rather than helping resolve the issue. Crystal also texted and emailed us while we were on our honeymoon about all of this. After we returned from our honeymoon, we responded to her email in response to her request to help her. Today (over a week later) she still hasn’t responded. We've sent Crystal multiple emails/texts, attempting to come to a solution before writing this review. We have given her ample time to respond. If you choose to use Crystal Nix for your wedding, read the contract VERY carefully and request that she doesn’t double book events on your day. It was very disappointing to feel rushed through hair and makeup. It felt like we weren't a priority on our wedding day.

h. They were friendly, efficient, and did amazing work. After that experience I reached out and booked Crystal for my wedding, best decision ever. At my trial I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted my hair to look like, but I had a bunch of photos of buns that had braids leading to them and Crystal took my vaugue inspiration and gave me the most gorgeous updo that was perfect with my dress and lasted all night.

I gave her 3 stars because she and her team were supposed to arrive at 11 am to do hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids, but they didn't arrive until after 12 which caused us to be late for our photos (one did arrive early but had to leave early). Also, Crystal had to redo some of the makeup for my bridesmaids because the other makeup artists made them look a bit washed out, which also put us behind. The other hair stylist was great though. I also never received the Touch up kit w/the lip color that I was supposed to get as a part of my package. There was also some confusion over when we were supposed to pay, which wasn't really clear from the beginning (all payment for services is due before the actual wedding day). Overall I would recommend Crystal for bridal hair and makeup, but you may want to arrange the timing earlier than planned.

I ended up having to look for someone else to do hair and makeup about a month before the wedding! Crystal was so wonderful and understanding when I reached out to her and guaranteed she would be able to make it work. Her team was early and quick, and got myself and my bridesmaids, mother, and MIL looking great in no time! I highly recommend Crystal Nix Beauty!

In distress, I contacted Crystal since I had already booked her for the wedding to ask her for advice. She was kind to take the time out of her schedule to adjust my hair back to what I was wanting to begin with for a decent price. I honestly should've just asked her to do it to begin with. As for the actual wedding experience, it ran smoothly and efficiently. My bridesmaids were a mixed group of girls coming from a variety of heritage with a rainbow of hair types and skin tones. If you're worried about it, don't. They all looked so beautiful and we had a great morning getting ready. As for me, my hair was perfect. Crystal knows what's she's doing and she's wonderful to work with. You won't regret a thing.

They did a really great job with color matching our foundation and playing up our best features. We all wanted updos...some with braids and some without. Crystal and her team did a beautiful job with our hair. It looked soft and touchable but stayed in place all night. Even my girls with natural hair were impressed by their abilities to style it perfectly. You will love working with Crystal Nix Beauty!

So, I had to have a bridesmaid do my makeup... Crystal claimed that I fired them less than 29 days prior to my wedding and acted like she was doing me a favor by giving me a small portion of my money back (only in exchange for me, my family, and my friends to not write a review about her company) even though no services were rendered because they were almost 2 hours late. After sending her my side of the story she agreed to give me most of my money back. I waited two weeks and no refund was given. I disputed it on PayPal and due to her not responding, they processed a full refund. I highly discourage anyone from hiring Crystal Nix Beauty.

Her prices were reasonable and she was very professional and amazing at her job. I loved my trail and it brought me at ease for the day of. Unfortunately, Crystal had a family emergency the week of my wedding, she tried her best to make it, but I insisted she stay with family. Crystal provided amazing substitutions for myself and my wedding party. They did a great job and overall we all enjoyed our hair and make-up. They were also QUICK and got all 4 of us ready way before game time. We missed Crystal, but during this tough time she still took amazing care of me and my bridal party. She had a game plan in place before she contacted me, checked on me during the day and really showed her commitment to her passion. I believe 100 % that any bride and bridal party will LOVE Crystal and her team. I sure did the 2 times I have used her.

I looked around and came across Crystals webpage and was instantly impressed with her work and pleased with the decent pricing that she offered. Upon our first phone conversation, she made me feel at ease and confident that she would be able to provide me with the services that I needed. I had never had professional makeup/hair done until my engagement pictures back in October 2017 with Crystal and she was right on point with giving me something extremely natural with very minimal which is what I desired. I was very happy with the work she did back then and I honestly couldn't be any happier with the hair and makeup she did for me on my wedding day in February 2018. My hair was absolutely stunning and basically an exact replica of the picture I showed her on Pinterest and I am still in awe of how beautiful it looked! The makeup was also nicely done, extremely natural looking (as I had asked) and I got compliments on both the entire night! I also had Crystal and her team do hair/makeup for my bridal team, mothers of bride/groom and my flower girl and I thought that everyone looked absolutely gorgeous!! I would absolutely use Crystal again in the future and recommend her services and I honestly can't thank Crystal enough for her hard work and vision that she had for me on my special day. I am forever grateful:)
